Drive 4K HDR | Robbery Chase Scene - 2160p 10bit HDR DTS-HD 5.1
An unnamed Driver works as a mechanic, a stunt double, a stunt driver, and a criminal-for-hire getaway car driver in Los Angeles, California. His jobs are all managed by auto shop owner Shannon, who persuades Jewish mobster Bernie Rose and his half-Italian partner Nino 'Izzy' Paolozzi to purchase a car for the Driver to race. Driver meets his new neighbor, Irene, and grows close to her and her young son, Benicio. Their relationship is interrupted when Irene's husband, Standard Gabriel, arrives after his release from prison.

Few people understand how loud 2:32 was in theaters. I swear we _all_ jumped 😂
Lol that's funny they just showed a screening of this movie at a little local theater where I live like back in June. And when he got shot yeah it fucking made me flinch 😂
SAME
Bro I watched the movie on my phone and I got jumpscared as well lmao
I think that’s because they don’t use any suspense music building up to Standard getting shot, just let the scene play out and it gets us by surprise
This is how you make a movie. Pure art
almost make a movie
@@baticadavinci3984 Nah there's a huge flaw in this scene look at how slow the 300 is going at 4:20 then after it crashes and flips
@@gc8328 literally, who cares
@@gc8328only car geeks will give a fuck about that lol
4:09 He learned that maneuver in the Brian O'Connor school of driving.
You know he attended that class! Lol Paul Walker would be proud 👏
@marco31 He must be a time traveler to watch a movie that wouldn't be out for another 3 years. Impressive.
@callmevegas2000 They deleted their comment, but they named some movie from 2014 as inspiration for this scene.
I remember back when the movie was new, the editors messed up the audio. Because when the mustang was in reverse it still sounded like it was driving forward and upshifting. I watched the movie again on Netflix recently and glad to see they fixed it 😅
Always wonder how that chrysler kept up with the mustang
this movie establishes molested vehicles in the beginning. i imagine its not just a standard chrysler 300c
I used to have a 2010 300c there quicker then people think they are but still not as fast as that so I'm also guessing it's also got some work under the hood
@@alexandersmith2422 they're.
That look like the old SRT8 version from exhaust pipe with the 6.1 Hemi engine. I guess they have it heavy modded, but the Mustang still should have been quicker because it's a much lighter car.
The beginning he says he upgraded the engine
Roar of the engine is perfect
Mustang Rules 😎
pure art....no music on this scene...just the asmr of sound
The reason they didn’t put any music in is so Tiktokers can put in their own music in sigma edits
Just like in jack reacher
Kinda like the epic car chase scene from Bullitt
@@M.R.BrickFilmsthis was an obvious homage to that scene, right down to the Mustang.
The most unrealistic part is that a 365hp Chrysler 300 was able to keep up with a 465hp Mustang. But then again, I almost lost to a Chrysler Town and Country minivan driving my Charger that one time, so your mileage varies.
thats a first gen coyote they make like 412 horsepower
@@TheAudibleGasp agreed, but still, 412 vs 365, and the mustang weighs less
tbh the 300 probably is a 5.7 hemi meaning it can crank some fuckin power and the mustang was stolen off the street so it wasnt exactly in the best condition to push to the limit
@@sarinspitlol 5.7 hemis don’t crank any power. they’re lunch
As someone who owned both cars let me give you some stats
The Automatic Mustang GT, which this is, came equipped with 3.15 Rear Axle ratio stock, the Hemi 300C came with a 3.06 Axle ratio, the Hemi was powered by a 345HP 5.7L hemi, or if an SRT 8 a 6.1L 425HP hemi. Since this seems to be a C model only it would have 345 HP but 395 ftlbs of torque. The Automatic 5.0L would produce 390 ft lbs of torque due to the crappy slushbox of an automatic transmission, and also the 5.0 only put out 412 HP if it was fueled with 100% 93 Octane, if it did not use a minimum of 93 Octane the HP produced is only 390.
The 300C had a better throttle body response straight from the factory than the Mustang gT, in fact, the 2011-2014 Mustang GT 5.0L needed tuning to make the throttle respond properly for any time of spirited or competition driving.
Over all the 5.0L is still the fast car as the curb weight is 400lb less than the 300C and the 300C is built for cruising and comfort the Mustang is designed for sport and speed.
I have owned 1st gen modern 300's and 2nd gen, I currently have on order a Last Call Edition 300C with the Scat Pack engine... the 300 C prior to resigned and upgraded 8 speed transmission wasn't a slouch but would not have kept us as easily as depicted here in the film, the 2018 Model did get a HP increase and would have kept up better against the 2011 Mustang gT used, but compared to the same model year Mustang GT (2018) it would have been an embarrassing visit to gapplebees. the 2011 5.0 Mustang GT was a street beast for it's time. It would eat up most LS3 Manual and L99 automatic Camaro SS's and those owners would get mad as most did not know that just because you had 1.2 more Litres of engine doesn't mean you're faster. I owned one model year of each S197 new Edge mUstang GT from 2011-2014... I jumped shipped when the S550 debuted as I did not like the styling and even 8 years later I still do not like it. I became a full time Mopar man, but I still own a 2013 Boss 302 which is a garage queen vehicle that only has 5700 miles on it. I bought it used with slight body damage, had it fixed and have owned it for 5 years now. Clean Title. WHile waiting for my Last Call 300C I am currently driving a black top edition Dodge Charger R/T + which I will trade once my 300C gets here. I also drive a Jeep GC Summit equipped with the hemi.
Hemi's are not super powerful motors from the factory but the 5.7 loves boost, and can be S/C or Turbo'd with a 10psi setting with no worries to the bottom end, the 6.4L scat Hemi required a lot of internal upgrades to even handle 6 psi of boost... and most have such a poor bottom end they throw rods just running naturally aspirated.
Hope that info helps and thank you for attending my Ted Talk
Watching it on my 4k monitor made feel like i was on an IMAX theater.
Oh yeah. Watching on my pro ultra super rtx 4090 Intel core i 11900 k 100tb ssd 512 ram with my 1 tb/s Internet, 8k ultra oled 100:50 monitor made feel like I was on an IMAX theater too, bro.
@@CrabikON69 ahahahahahahhaahhaha
70 mm Imax film projection has the equivalent of 18k resolution, apparently. So, 4k is quite far off.
I love, love, LOOOOVE that Mustang 5.0! The fact that it reverses so fast on the highway away from the Chrysler is staggering!
auto gearing
@@tdv658I mean as a get away driver it would be the better choice. Less to worry about and it’s also technically much faster. I feel like it would be annoying to have to focus on shifting gears manually while being chased or evading capture.
@@tdv658you're saying that like it's a bad thing. Manual cars suck buddy just admit it
@@nassahrakim8136 reverse typically has an identical ratio to first, a 4 speed will have taller gears than a 6 speed, regardless of the cars trasmission type
Love that J-turn, so smooth! 😎
Noticed this has a more warm/yellow tone compared to the standard Blu-ray
They thought they were in Mexico
Yeah because the transfer for this German release wasn’t supervised by the original colourist, unlike the UK release (the superior release).
His driving is class
smart move wearing high heels to rob a place...
Shopkeep must have been Harkonen.
His transition is so fuckin sick
I feel like in real life, the shop owner would've been charged with something if not murder, or would he? I imagine it varies by state. I mean he shot the dude once and after that the threat was pretty much neutralized, then came out and just straight up executed him
Yea, but have you seen the movie? The dude had a ton of cash owned by a mafia group that was going to be used to start up in the area, 400k down the drain would likely get him killed.
If he ran out of the store, ran towards the car, and THEN got shot by the people in the 300c while trying to make it to the car, i think that would have made more sense
In real life, yes. Even the first shot was likely illegal (through the window, guy was walking away, no weapon in hand). However, the store is mob-owned and so there may be power in play to cover the whole thing up. Whatever the writers need to happen will happen.
@@gezenews It is! It has none of the feel of speed or tension that the chase in Bullitt had. The roads are remote and look closed, quick cuts to cars show they're not going that fast in many scenes, and traffic feels staged. It's a shitty chase scene.
@@gezenews bro what? He flipped it around so that the 300 would be focused on the fact he's driving backwards and then wouldn't be able to anticipate where he would turn to, you guys complain about the dumbest shit lmaooo
Damn this scene is 🔥
This is a vibe
So this is the universe where Miguel's variant died.
Awesome movie ✨✨✨
Did they remove the music I mean I like the aggressive tone but they remove of two best tracks in my opinion

Nooooo MoonKnight!!!
This clip is Literally Me
My name is standard Gabriel….well where’s the deluxe version.
art
This is like modern bullitt man
But instead of the Ford chasing the Chrysler it’s the other way around
Ain’t no way a 300 will keep up with a GT, even with the Hemi it’s still way heavier, those things are somewhat quick but not that quick
they’re boats. that 300 is not hitting corners like that mustang can. even if the mustang has a solid rear axle.
@@mantra2001 yep. The solid rear axle in these later S197s was actually tuned decently well. They handle about as well as it's possible for a solid axle car to handle. You can still feel that it's a solid axle going over bad potholes, but it's pretty well balanced.
Pretty much, but its a movie so meh, i guess getting a SRT8 charger wasnt in the budget or something
@@Garf2O Or they just figured the audience wouldn't know the difference (which, to be fair, non-car enthusiasts probably wouldn't). All things considered, this chase is decently realistic compared to most movie car chases.
First, it's a movie.
Second, we know nothing about that 300. It could be making a million horsepower for all we know.
Refn directs AMAZING CAR CHASES..only good thing in his awful TOO YOUNG TO somethin.. is chase scene in one of the last episodes.
Nice^^ Movie
Underrated film
Not anymore I'd say.
I love the movie, but in no way is it underrated.
I would risk saying that at present it is actually overrated. Heard people praising it as if it was some "Citizen Kane" of XXI century, while in fact it isn't even Refn's best
That's beautiful, thank you.
2:00 I feel like high heels are not the most practical choice for a heist
The American Muscle , Mustang rules 💪🏻💪🏻
that pawn shop looks like the sheriff's office building in the movie LaserBlast (1978)
wish all movies got v8 sounds right like this one does
Most unrealistic part of this scene was that Chrysler keeping up with that 5.0
Can you reverse at such high speed? And how that final turn works physically?
It's a movie.
Engine Sound is ear pleasing
Is this movie even in 4K disc?
Yes it was released last week!
@@ApexClips4k thanks!
This movie is so tensed

Warms my heart that this movie inspired Hotline Miami, a game that has nothing to do with driving.
Am i getting this right...
He set it into neutral, pulled fhe handbrake, turned sharply, then put it in reverse...gotta go tey that out.
Who is in this Chevrolet?
Watching it now I see how absolutely unnecessary that 180 was.
How the hell is driver wearing two fucking jackets in the middle of LA heat??
LA is not super hot in the fall or winter... and, well AC is another factor... lastly, it is a movie... WGAF

In what world could that piece of shit boat keep up with a GT...

Who was the driver in the Chrysler working for?
East coast mob if I remember correctly
Cook
Maybe even Nino, who knows
Anyone know if this was a set up?

Why not bring some zipties to delay a possible counterattack???
(FYI: I love this film, I just don't like extremely stupid characters.)
Why?
The driving in this scene makes no sense.
He’s just that good
Moving your shoulder totally sends you in a slide.
wasn't well thought out...
Oh no. A hollywood movie makes no sense. My shock, it hurts.
The director doesn't have a license. I am not kidding. This is sort of Nicholas Refn's impression of what a car chase is.
Still better then any of the 10 fast and furious movies

This scene makes me want to get an s197 lmao
