I Played An Entire Chess Club At Once

Simuls are a grand tradition in chess, and I decided to test my luck and play a simul against my entire local chess club. 19 players turned out to punish me and prove their worth!

stockfish was telling me to play g4 and bring your king to draw your king out. i’ve since looked for those ideas, awesome learning experience. was happy with my draw. thank you for all you do for the columbia chess club

Thanks Sam for a very good account of the event and a goodish video of the simul. If I am right and the foto refers to another simul by Capablanca, there seems to me to be many women seating to play him. Am I correct? That seems extraordinary. Your rules for the simul seem a bit too difficult for the main player. I hope you put better rules for the next exhibition to make it more palatable for all, but still I think you did a very good job. Also, the story about your thinking and feeling is very interesting, I'd say it is unique. Thanks again.

I believe Sam had 90 minutes with a 10 second delay, and everyone else had 30 minutes with a 10 second delay.
