Ronaldo may be the best counter attacking player ever. His arrow like running, crisp passing and impeccable finishing. Having the likes of Di Maria, Benzema, Özil, Bale and Modric alongside him sure does help

The counter-attack mindset is the best thing that Mourinho imprinted on Madrid squad. Prior to his reconstruction of the team, RM fans pressured previous managers to pursue total dominant football like Barca. Until after the massacre 5-0 at Camp Nou, he proved to the fans that it was not going to work, then moved on to implement a blazing counterattack gameplan that lasted for a decade later and delivers them many trophies.
Nothing of this is correct.
Real Madrid has used since di Stefano the strategy and tactics that better suited it for winning the matches.
Madrid has played, slow fast, counterattack, passing, defensive, aerial, high pressure, physical technical.
That is what gives us the edge, certainly not one of the least successful coaches at real madrid

Mourinho was given the keys of the club and did nothing new, got nothing except one league and one cup.
I have seen Molowny, Di'Stefano, Benhaker, Toschak, they all used dominace and technic, I have seen from Floro to Del Bosque to the total chaos of Vanderlei Luxemburgo, Benitez, etc.

For you to know the team that was known for counter attack in Spain was Atletico de Madrid, and that ended more or less with the double, with Antic (great technician) when they started changing to the type of play that best suited their players any year (as all clubs do, even Barça).

totally true, if anyone asked me about my favorite goals ever, i would strongly consider this to be in top3. not some acrobatic or long range shots, but this perfectly executed team effort to deliver the ball from own half to the goal with few passes. Sounds simple, but i've never seen better counter-attack in my life

It was in later years that experts and fans understood that these two are irreplaceable and they’re the only goats of our time! One of these players was benzema! Later Neymar and other players who never came to the spotlight and failed their expectations! I do recall hearing in the news about a Lyon player with a quality of Messi and Ronaldo who is gonna dominate and be a new rival to these two but it turned out he wasn’t good enough to even be compared to the goats after playing two seasons for RM!
