How To: Cut a Stencil EASILY

- There are a lot of tutorials out there showing people how to stencil, and if we're honest we'll admit that this is not the best. But it's definately one of the more clear, well filmed and easily understandable ones. Have fun cutting stencils, everyone!!
(PS This video is great for teachers, and also shows how to create an interesting paint effect not usually associated with stencils. x)

Thank you, This was a great simple tutorial which has helped me learn some base knowledge when cutting a stencil. Making more complicated designs now seem easier.

the hardest part of stencil making is the compisition, and pain comes from cutting aspecially with intricate and multi layer stencils

Nice work. I make knives and I am going to use this method for my etching stencil to put my logo on. It looks way simpler than using nail polish or tape as a stencil. Tape adhesive discolors the metal.

This was really simplified and gave me a new idea that I hadn't considered....THOUGH, I would recommend off-loading some of the paint, so it doesn't seep under the stencil. .... Thank you, Juliane'

Just curious what weight of paper you'd recommend for the stencil? Card stock? Plain old white printer paper? Thanks!
I saw one video where they used a vinyl cover from like a kids notebook, also can use contact paper

Anybodies recommendation on what type of material to use to make a stencil out of? I will be using it primarily for spray painting. I use poster board now and its only usually good for 2 or 3 paintings before it has soaked up too much paint and starts warping on the edges.
