I am 42. I have a 2 years old son. It was very easy to get pregnant first time. I did my first iui this week. 2 follics 21mm and another one he said was ok size. My husband sperm 7.5 million. The dr said everything seem fine. But I my appointment with him he always talked about the fact that I am 42... he expression was clearly showing he was not believing it is going to work.
Love your videos! Thank you! I am a physician myself. I am 38 and i recently did egg retrieval, was really happy with number of eggs retrieved and 11/12 were mature. On day before retrieval, i had a keurig cup of coffee (double donut hazlenut) and later in the afternoon an alani energy drink which has 200 mg of caffeine. I was so tired, and i hadnt received specific caffeine instructions from my clinic. I discussed with a friend after, and did a lot of reading on caffeine, including the over 200 mg per day recommendation, and was really freaked out. I might have had 350 mg, and max 400 mg that day. I normally just drink one cup of coffee each day, or less. I drink a lot of tea. I am wondering how bad it was to have that energy drink since it was day before the retrieval, and i think maturation or meiosis is happening then? I am considering a third cycle (I have 21 eggs now, but wasn't on supplements other than prenatal). If having an energy drink plus coffee on the last day was really bad or might result in poor eggs, I might be more likely to do another cycle. My gyn didn't seem to be worried. She does not value or emphasize supplements as much as you. Appreciate your opinion. Thank you!
Dr. I am finishing up 2 months of depo lupron with better hopes of having an embryo transfer work (i came back positive for beta markeers of endometriosis via the receptiva dx test, with a score of 3.8). my clinic isnt familiar with the lupron protocol and wants me to come in on day 28 of my 2nd month of lupron to begin a standard FET protocol. I believe by day 28 i should be starting estrace already as i am afraid this standard protocol they may want to use will induce a period therefore wiping out my lupron progress. any suggestions?

Hello I'm wondering if you can please answer a question /concern. I have 4 embryos better than sent for genetic testing and three of them are already hatched. Will those absolutely not work? I heard the Zona helps keep it from damage. Very concerned
Hi I miscarried shortly after I turned 43 and my doctor at that time said she didn’t recommend ivf and only referred me to a therapist with no other testing guidance or recommendations and wondered at my age would it have been a waste of time and money just based on my age because that’s all she based it on and her personal experience.. only later too late did I learn about fertility and everything that might have helped. Also can you tell me if I used birth control for for 14 years then stopped 5 years before trying does that harm or do anything to your fertility
I am 42 I have 15 eggs counted. I want to start the ivf next year. Do you think I should freeze eggs now for next year or gamble on proceeding next year will my egg count be a lot lower next year??

Hi Dr. Aimee. I’m 44 years old and married for 2 years. My amh was 1.19 last year. My husband had vasectomy 7-8 years ago. I convinced him and dr retrieved sperms from him, next day my dr retrieved eggs from me. I had 6 eggs, all fertilized, 2 survived to blastocyst, others couldn’t survive and on 5th day I had a fresh transfer of 2 blastocysts. It’s the 4th day after transfer. My tits are going to snap! I think it’s because of the injections. I’m not negative but if it doesn’t work what should I do?
I’m 55 my wife is 53 . She rarely gets her period anymore has all the menopause symptoms but still insists we use protection. I think we’re safe she does not . We don’t want anymore children . Can we stop using protection?

So I'm just gonna jump into it. March of this year I found out I was pregnant a week later I had a miscarriage. Now what are the chances of me getting pregnant knowing it's been over 9 months since it happened and still no pregnancy over here?

Can I ask what it means to get 3 peaks over a number of days -
cycle day 14 -Peak (strips and clear blue digital)
Peak again day 16
Flashing high again Day 18 😩
Does this mean my body is trying to ovulate but didn’t?

@@chiragsharma2706 my cycle is pretty normal and regular. Every 28 days. Just unsure as to why I’m receiving multiple peaks.

It means you had a peak day 14 and stop checking :) easy! These tests aren’t accurate at all and cause people to question their bodies while your body knows exactly what it is doing.

Is an FSH level of 13 too high for IVF? I have a friend that had a high FSH level and she was able to do IVF. I was just curious. I just had a recurrent miscarriage panel that came back normal, an HSG/mock transfer/biopsy all normal as well. I'm 43.
It's just hard to find a good egg when you're over 40 no matter what the FSH level. The FSH of 13 is pretty normal at 43 and the result says, it's still worth trying! I would go for it if you want to try and you have a good egg count.
@@EggWhisperer oh cool! I have an AMH of 1.25 or 1.5. But I know it's over 1.
@@EggWhisperer So get this. My dr doesn't do Natural IVF (meaning less meds). Is that weird? It felt like a red flag. I thought any fertility clinic could do that. Now I know why she's rejecting me.
