Alicia, here's my answer to your question about whether your tutorials are helpful. You are my top favorite tutorialist. Hands down. I love how you verbalize the visual and creative processes involved in makeup application. I appreciate the level of detail and thought you put into describing makeup products and brushes. I'm probably at an intermediate level of skill with makeup application, so I appreciate when you add advanced techniques so I can continue learning. From time to time I re-learn something more basic from you that I'd forgotten. So it's all good to me in terms of your training viewers at different skill levels. 🦋🧡🦋

For the ones that don't like to apply with their fingers but also want the impact of a shadow that a finger would bring, grab those applicator sponges from Dior eyeshadow compacts, they work grate and you can wash them and they get brand-new again. Nice tools and you make your money worth 100%!

I so well remember when you bought this palette. It was your first Mother purchase, and your reaction was priceless. It is, imo, her very best palette. I love Midnight Sun as a close second, but Subversive's variety, from daily to super fun, are just amazing, and the shades are to die for. So many one-and-dones, yet endless combo options. Every shade works with every other, despite the variety. That's amazing! Grungy, yet vibrant - yes! It's simply perfection.

I love the pop of colours in this palette - all of them are beautiful. Although I actually prefer the Megabite colour in the 2020 Christmas palette because it leans just a little more green… if only it was the special formula!

I really appreciate the additional hints, tips & combos for Subversive. I'm terrible at applying liquid liner & wings. Being able to finish a look without one or a shadow used as liner seems interesting to me.
Lately, I've been stuck into Decadence & Huetopian Dream. Which causes me to neglect my other eyeshadow babies. Not anymore tho.

I *love* these tutorials and re-visits, thank you so much for your effort, skill, and effervescence 💖 I'm probably a beginner-intermediate level of makeup application, largely because I came to makeup later in life, and because I have very poor eyesight without glasses, so simple and one-and-done is my go to. I love that you are so playful, and encourage making mistakes and having a go - it's only makeup, after all 🥰wash it off and try again. I love this open approach to makeup and to life! My black metal is also pretty hard, but I make it work by layering it over a cream/sticky base. I do want to try it with the Intensifeye wand though and see if that would work on it's own. I'd also like to see you compare your original black metal to the one in your newer palette you got last year? or in 2020? I don't remember but it would be interesting to see if she improved that formula.
