She played the victim of an abused girlfriend who went along with it because she feared for her life. She's out of prison in 12 years, he of course got life.

I believe i understand what your saying, please correct me if I am wrong. First, you probably wouldnt raise a daughter who would feel she could get away with anything. Instill morals and values with an understanding of paying the price for mistakes. Its a ballance of justice and mercy. The thought of your grandchild being murdered is difficult to comprehend . I have 4 daughters, 2 sons, and 5 grandchildren, I get it. The parents of this young woman (brain still not fully developed) were not showing love for her by getting her off the hook. She should have paid a price. But I dont believe this means leaving them alone to face the music. I believe in the story of the prodigal son. I have witnessed my natural father axe his child over far, far less, a hard narcissistic man, and stand on the oppossing side to inflict maximum damage. I would be by my childs side, have them take responsibility and pay the price, but not on the opposing side against them, on their side, as Christ will never leave our side. If a person isn’t religious, I still believe a person can be rehabilitated with family support over the opposite. This is proven. My adopted father is a great man, he is a man of rule and order, but recognizes justice, and mercy, combined for optimal results. I believe your pointing out that there is a correct way, these parents did not display that way. Teaching our children is a lifelong journey, making sure they learn even when the gravest errors are made within the bonds of love is our duty. They must face life as adults, without us hovering. But we remain a rock, combined with faith in many instances, to guild, learn and heal. Traditional Oriental families function in this manner of love and teaching, with generations under the same roof, producing lower crime and destructive behavior, producing happier, well adjusted children and adults. We have lost something valuable, and now paying for it.

@@saragirma6577 I don't see abortion as a black or white issue. I think that morally it's abhorrent but the logical part of me feels like it is necessary for the survival of our country. When you give a woman that would make a terrible mother the option to get rid of a child she doesn't want in the first place and wouldn't raise properly you save society from the burden of dealing with one more degenerate. Our taxes would go towards paying to help that mother with food stamps, child care, and government assistance programs. As the child becomes a teenager then we would have to deal with them being hooligans and committing crimes in the community and just being a general nuisance. When that unwanted child becomes an adult the cycle of government assistance continues draining more and more from the coffers. They grow up to be serious criminals doing things that will send them to prison and costing tax payers even more money. I think abortions should be available but I don't think the tax payers should have their money used to pay for it, the woman and her sperm donor should be solely responsible for paying. I have no issue with the concept of "my body my choice" as long as it's also "your body your problem". We as tax payers shouldn't have to pay to fix someone else's problems just because they don't make good decisions.

Women, particularly the attractive ones, learn very early on in life the two tools they can use to get what they want:

It’s absolutely disgusting that the jury didn’t convict Brooke on more serious charges. Her choices and actions directly led to the death of the baby, whether it was drowning or being stillborn. And the judge shouldn’t be let off the hook at all. He talked tough when sentencing Brooke, then proceeded to give her probation instead of jail time. In Ohio, a 5th degree felony conviction carries up to 12 months in jail and a $2500 fine. The jury, the judge, and the media saw a “pretty blonde white girl” and decided she couldn’t be that bad. She cried so they decided that she must be remorseful and “punished enough” (actual quote from her supporters, after Brooke was arrested). I don’t know if a minority woman would have been more harshly judged, but I’m very confident saying that a man would have been much more harshly judged. This is a perfect example of female privilege.
