When you open up the box you will see a row of eight pins and then you will see a row of four pins. On the row of 8 pins... from your far right count to your left 4 pins. Bend that back and put box back together.

I would purchase the DT 800 that does plug in but the DT800 will not let any alerts come through if listening to the am/fm. Kind of defeats the needed use of an alert...so i would like to get a DT 400 and modify it...Thank you again
also...people should know that the Sangean DT 400w needs to be the one that DOESN'T say "PUBLIC ALERT" on the front; otherwise, if it's the ones that does say that, those are NOT hackable(bending the pin won't work). ;)
Yep, You're right. There aren't many out there anymore but they are still out there. It is almost as though these companies changed them on purpose because they know they are being hacked.

The small one which is supposed to store the time and date probably (visible at 4:07 of your video, just above the positive contact of main power battery)? I have never hacked one and that is only because when I searched for one no one could tell me if it was the Ribbon type or the Pin connect. Do you know if you have the proper radio first of all? You need the pin type. If we can get a confirmation on which pin to bend then you are all set.
Wrong, a DT-250 is hackable but you need to do more than just bending the pin. Check this video m.czcams.com/video/xJA46YJrO-o/video.html It's a french ghost hunter channel and the guy actually wrote a comment to your video but in french so it felt flat he rather have wrote in english like I do.
