The Elven Empire precon is actually a really good deck straight out of the box but there are some upgrades you can make to take it up to the next level and it's those upgrades that we're looking at today!

I look a bit more rough and a little less sophisticated than him I’m afraid!
I did build the deck with the idea in mind that I could win lots of different ways. So that means I’m stretching myself thin with some strategies. Having said that, I have dealt so nice chunks of damage with Lathril’s activated ability.

You really are handsome! Always enjoy your videos but now I get eye candy.. Id definitely like to see more.. Also matching your hat to your eyes I see you.. Ocean blue just something to drown in.. I would love more videos like this.. Playing nonstop can be draining, I'd rather you mix it up than get burnt out and stop making videos.. Just make sure you include your face in more videos..

I trim it with clippers once a month because it gets thick and uncomfortable. I’d look like a lumberjack by now if I let it have it’s own way!
Finally! The face! Edit and fun fact: I have literally just got home and I opened the precon. This is what I call timing.
Awesome! I actually bought it just for the Commander so I didn’t look at the list. It’s actually a really good precon with a lot of the elf staples already included. Just got mine today too :)
Great upgrades! I think Growing Rites of Itlimoc might be useful for mana generation with all of those elves running around.
I enjoy deck tech videos. More in the future would be great.

Thanks mate. I thought I was the only player in world who saw Lathril and thought..."ooh, tap 10 elves and kill everyone!" I ran Elfball back in Type2 days but have found it boring since then, so to be able to build a non-combat Elf deck was great! If I kill ANYONE by combat damage I've failed as far as I'm concerned 😁
The theory is:
Bunch of Elves
Tap Latheril
10 Damage to all opp
Untap Lathril (multiple ways to do it)
Tap 10 more Elves
10 more life lost
Wounded Reflection
Throne of the God-Pharaoh
So, even if I untap Latheril once, that's 40 life gone for all my oppos...😁
I've seen a few cards that I didn't know about so thanks for that!
I like getting into the red zone but having other ways of winning in a tight spot. It’s great that the deck can be made in so many different ways depending on your play style.
@@tribalkai normally, I'd totally agree re different wincons (my Tuvasa deck for example has 9 different wincons in it (although most of them admittedly have the same result...the pod scooping) but in this instance I literally wanted to win through Lathril's ability.
You can of course go elfball as you've said , but you could also go Voltron to generate tokens, THEN activate her second ability...but I already have Sigarda as my Voltron commander and I didn't want to be unfaithful 😆

Elfball was my first competitive deck in t2 and extended days!! I’ve been wanting to try isochron scepter and vitalize to abuse the ability

I put vigor, DS, and PL in my list. It’s just good. And is almost unfair when most of the token production of from our commander. It’s just nuts!
I like realmwalker in the deck to speed through the top of the deck.
Absolutely! I built the deck whilst spoilers were still coming out and I saw this card and thought "that needs to go in the elf deck".

That and Bolas' Citadel.
If the number of elves in the deck is consistent you have an absurd way to cast directly from the top of the library

I actually lowered the number of creatures in my deck but if you wanted to go for a really heavy elf build then those two cards are absolute musts.
Glimpse of Nature is great at middle and end game to recoup.

Love this video bro. It's like you listen to the comments and make videos accordingly HA! This was fantastic. I pretty much built my version of the deck the exact same way but without the aristocrats line as I don't feel like it's necessary and I'd rather just have some more elves/tutors/protection. Thanks for the ideas.
you should consider wirewood symboite as an untapper not only does it untap key elves but it can let you return some to your hand as not only a way of protecting them but to reuse some solid etb effects like rec sage wood elves and the like also last i checked its dirt cheap
Yeah I considered that one but I had too make cuts somewhere. There’s too many great cards for elves!

I'm sorry I haven't been on the discord/games for a while (Atlus Dragoon). My free time during the pandemic has been with my kids playing the Switch. I'm able to scratch my MTG itch a little bit because my LGS was just legally allowed to host casual games again with proper precautions and limited participation.
Don’t worry about mate. Family comes first. I’ve been playing a bit of Switch myself. Mainly Hades but I got Mario 3D Allstars too.
It was Monster Sanctuary for me last year. Now I'm in the middle of Xenoblade Chronicals DE. My daughter is replaying DQ Builders and my son is playing Mario Odyessy. He's excited for the release of 3D World with Bowser's Fury. Good grades and he knows I'll get it for him. By the way, thanks for the Koma gameplay. I took your list to my LGS last week. I'm changing it up this week to focus on Koma and less on sea creature tribal. It'll be a bit more brutal for my friends, but I don't think I'll pull it out all the time. I think it'll be my Craterhoof deck in my catalog. Haven't made one of those in paper yet.

Might have been asked already, but would Freyalise be a good addition to slot in somewhere? Generating elves, naturalizing things, and then ultimating as a lesser shamanic revelation seem pretty good and obviously synergistic with the deck in terms of elves. Great video! I actually just bought the precon with a gift card from Christmas. Cheers!
Yeah she’d be a great addition. I’d include her as an elf maker/Naturalize so I wouldn’t rely on her for card advantage from the ultimate. But I bet you could get that ultimate off quite consistently.
