Giving this man 4oz gloves was a terrible idea
Fighting this man is a terrible idea

We’ll see chicken dance
Hahaha best comment
Or was it the greatest idea ever?
You know you hit hard when you knock people out hitting their guard.
Vdd! O cara é ignorante!
That’s some final boss of the level type shit
1:12 that check kick thooo
his calmness is almost as intimidating as his skills and power. A talented man not simply physically, but the way his mind has control over his movement, timing, accuracy and sheer calmness.

The glory Double champ and now UFC double champ, POATAN 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
DONT FORGET GLORY HOF
For those who don't know, his nickname "POATAN" means "stone hand". Quite accurate.
Thats not true
@dabithakido i live in Tupi and "POATAN" means gynosanya killer

I dont get how he's literally flatlining guys with his left hook, he doesnt even load up much for it to make sense. It almost looks like he's just swining his arm and people straight up die from it. He's a very scary individual striker
So impressive. Long limbs + perfect technique.
left hooks are the most dangerous punch around, except maybe the overhand right. I'm orthodox and right handed dominant but my left hand will drop people just from slapping them.
He's actually winding it up if you pay attention to his hips and his feet.
Also left hooks only need to graze the chin to knock somebody out cuz of the whiplash
@@overtblowfish4439 barely any wind up bro. it's honestly smooth as butter. scary
@@overtblowfish4439 i'm not sure i get your point.
He "winds up" (still fast as hell) when he chooses to, he also punches without any telegraphing when he chooses to. It's a choice, not a skill problem (if that's what you meant).
Many of his ko's come from incredibly fast and sneaky strikes after he overwhelmed the opponent with power.
He has unequaled strong punches both hands and legs, he is accurate, fast, decisive, well moving, strong chin and good mentality. He is also a great sportsman. All ingridients for a great champ.
Yea I just started watching the guy, and I agree with what u said.
But iam curious, has he ever fought an opponent the same size? He legit looks like he's fighting kids at times.
MMA wish list:
Left Hook of Alex Pereira
Left High Kick of Mirko Cro Cop
Right Leg of Edson Barbosa
Chin of Mark Hunt
Right Hand of Francis Ngannou

And covington pace
Stamina of Ferguson
Chin of blagoy ivanov for me...
Could be Condit's chin also...the rest is on point!
This guy has truly heavy hands. So composed at all times too
Heavy when they land but light while flying to target, masterful stuff.
Let's see if he can do mma first he 4 fights experience only
All top dogs are strikers in UFC, maybe Rockhokd or maybe Canonier could wrestle him.
Hands? His knees are torpedoes going up into your face - best coverage!
How would he do now against Israel?
He’s in Glover Texiera’s team.
If he can develop a good ground game and takedown defense to keep the bouts on the feet. He’s going to obliterate thru these middleweights. The universe gave us Izzy first and his nemeses second,
Most of the top guys in that weight class are not even great at wrestling. Brunson is good but has horrible transitions.

Have you seen his fight with Quemuel Ottoni?
@Dr.Sir Bruce Armstrong Mother Fucker The Third true but they are not in that far up when it comes to title contention, I think they'll feed Perreira maybe 2 guys outside the top 15 and then throw him into a fight with someone like Costa, Whittaker, Till, Gaestelum someone with name value and rush him towards a title fight with Izzy
1:08 holy crap, he eats a huge uppercut like it´s nothing, checks a low kick after that, which hurts his opponent, which he senses, swarms him and finishes him, wow
Alex Pereira in those MMA gloves is going send fighters to the shadow realm with his left hook

On the other hand, Pereira might be sent to the shadow realm.
And he won't be the first that came riding in on a tall horse.

Poatan is honest to God, built different. He hasn't been phased by a strike in like, 7 years on top of having power in everything. Add in that sneaky yet absolutely nuclear left hook and I'm just left thinking this is a human with an evolved skeleton or some shit.
That left hook looks like he tries it with 40 to maybe 50 percent power and it literally lifts guys off their feet.
@@sylasmalone6126 fr bro sometimes im like wtf that punch looked weak alex is insane
I saw an interview with him. He worked since the tender age of 12 in a tire shop fixing tires. He only stepped into an academy to train when he was 21 years old. He had a drinking addiction and thought that picking up a sport would help him quit. He became Champion in South America while still fighting alcoholism. Man I love Pereira. He is sooo different than all the other kickboxers. Looks so easy and relaxed. Tall and skinny but oh so deadly. Love from Holland
Skinny? Hell no
Tall and lean is more precise he’s not skinny.
Hello man! from Holland, the kingdom of kickboxing and western thay boxing.
I hope he will beat that arrogant a-hole Israel Adesanya! My only concern for him is that he might not have the wrestling and ground game that is necessary to be a champion in the UFC since everybody is going to try to tie him up and take him to the ground because they know he is a deadly stand-up fighter! If I am on his coaching staff I would have him trained heavily in wrestling and grabbling because that is where his opponents are going to try to fight him with.
He ain’t skinny he only looks that way because he’s very tall with long arms.
Bro has a 15 minute ko compilation jeez
I'm disappointed that I'm just learning about this guy. He has some of the best knockouts I've ever seen! His Right Knee to the body and Left Hook are devastating! He's gonna fuck Sean Strickland up this weekend. Thanks for making this OP. Stellar work.
I think Sean is gonna out wrestle him to be honest win by UD
the fight will be strickland trying to get the fight to the ground, and Poatan being Poatan, hitting one ton punches, but Strickland is not this good in ground figth anyway, and poatan is in the glover teixeira gym, and probably he got the experience to contourn this.
i'm here after the fight, and, oh boy, strickland got smoked

10:13 Jesus man, the power on the kick. He doesn’t even wind up on it, just straight off the hip.
Don’t use GOD’S Name in vain.
He strikes different comparing to everyone else. Looks like at last second of the punch, he somehow involves shoulder movement as powers increase. Same with his kick, uses hips at the last second to explode power. I’m not a fighter, but I can see a difference in a striking I barely seen before. Conor sometimes throws similar strikes with that shoulder involving, like a side hook.
Good observation
Yes sir, kinetic energy. Toes, Ankles, Knees, Hips, Shoulders, Elbows, Wrists. All simultaneously firing to generate more power and "whip" to strikes. Years of drilling and the buildup of calcium in the knuckles to handle the load on fists and wrists.

Alex Pereira is Sagat from Street Fighter came to life.
That left hook may be the best or most effective in all of combat sports

O Famoso pai do Adesanya
What a talented striker! and the mixture of that and Glovers guidance on the ground game (and ufc experience) is probably the most scariest combination i have ever seen. And is well spoken and respectful on top. More power to you champ 😎👍
Kickboxing is the most violent sport, more so than MMA, because of the lack of the ability to rest while grappling. And without the fear of being taken down, everything is thrown with bad intentions.
When he’s set to make his ufc debut, Izzy probably thinking like “😨😰😥😓😳😶🌫️”
All these knockouts are amazing
Sean strickland should watch this highlights before sign the contract!!
Not only his hands are of stone, his chin is granite too. Dangerous combo indeed 😬
Alex Pereira is very similar to izzy in fighting style and physical attributes the only thing that makes Alex more dangerous is his crazy power especially the gaming changing left hook he throws so effortlessly plus in his 4 mma fights he has improved his Takedown defense very quickly and is training with Glover Texeria who is one of the best bjj guys in mma I think he can be champ in ufc
I think glover was one of the best fighters of his era when it came to mixing striking and grappling, i hope he can turn Alex into a monster
Mma stricking and kickboxing are not the same though. Different gloves different range. He ko'd izzy in the pocket as izzy was going for the kill.
