      left hooks are the most dangerous punch around, except maybe the overhand right. I'm orthodox and right handed dominant but my left hand will drop people just from slapping them.

      He "winds up" (still fast as hell) when he chooses to, he also punches without any telegraphing when he chooses to. It's a choice, not a skill problem (if that's what you meant).
      Many of his ko's come from incredibly fast and sneaky strikes after he overwhelmed the opponent with power.

Whittaker is chinny,Costa has no stamina,Till has no fight iq,Vettori is a delusional fighter, Gastelum after the war with Israel has never been the same,Holland talks more than he fights,Brunson is chiny also one decent shot and he will get knocked down. I think Perreira has a very good chance on UFC considering what experience he has and his power is insane!!

      I saw an interview with him. He worked since the tender age of 12 in a tire shop fixing tires. He only stepped into an academy to train when he was 21 years old. He had a drinking addiction and thought that picking up a sport would help him quit. He became Champion in South America while still fighting alcoholism. He finally quit 4 years later and has been clean for the last 9 years. He was not built different, he was forged different.

      I hope he will beat that arrogant a-hole Israel Adesanya! My only concern for him is that he might not have the wrestling and ground game that is necessary to be a champion in the UFC since everybody is going to try to tie him up and take him to the ground because they know he is a deadly stand-up fighter! If I am on his coaching staff I would have him trained heavily in wrestling and grabbling because that is where his opponents are going to try to fight him with.

      the fight will be strickland trying to get the fight to the ground, and Poatan being Poatan, hitting one ton punches, but Strickland is not this good in ground figth anyway, and poatan is in the glover teixeira gym, and probably he got the experience to contourn this.

    I know he just signed the contract but no doubt Pereira's gotta have the best lead hook in all of UFC. Obviously there are several fighters with nasty left hands like Connor, Valentina, Izzy etc. but all of those fighters are south paw. This guy is sending people to the shadow realm with his WEAK hand. Crazier part is that it doesn't even look like he's loading up on those punches.

    The Brazilian commentators at the start are 100% the highlight of this video. Sure this guy’s got mean power but those commentators were awesome, I want them to commentate every fight and I don’t even speak Portuguese. I only made them out saying “CASTIGA CASTIGA CASTIGA” which means “PUNISH PUNISH PUNISH”

      izzy had alex on the ropes both fights 2-1 first fight 2-0 second fight alex was even given a 8-count break smh
      alex has izzy beat twice on record but by no means were those wins flawless victories
      alex will not have the insurance of 10 count breaks in the ufc nor will he be protected by heavy ounce gloves either

    He strikes different comparing to everyone else. Looks like at last second of the punch, he somehow involves shoulder movement as powers increase. Same with his kick, uses hips at the last second to explode power. I’m not a fighter, but I can see a difference in a striking I barely seen before. Conor sometimes throws similar strikes with that shoulder involving, like a side hook.

    Alex Pereira is very similar to izzy in fighting style and physical attributes the only thing that makes Alex more dangerous is his crazy power especially the gaming changing left hook he throws so effortlessly plus in his 4 mma fights he has improved his Takedown defense very quickly and is training with Glover Texeria who is one of the best bjj guys in mma I think he can be champ in ufc

      Mma stricking and kickboxing are not the same though. Different gloves different range. He ko'd izzy in the pocket as izzy was going for the kill. In contrast izzy in the ufc snipes people from the outside. He is clearly very good and he is in a shallow division like middleweight but I feel like being in the ufc at 3-1 might be too early. All that aside I'm excited about his debut

      the scariest part of that is that guy has 1.94 and said already multiple times he EASILY can cut to 185.... I dont think anyone in both division, MW and LW ( Jiri maybe, but takes so much damage, probably would be knocked out too) can strike with him, but hes not the best mma fighter, I can imagine he tapping to a solid grappler... hes top 3 kickboxer all time, thats why a think no one can. and he has evolved so much from Adesanya man, he started training with 23 years... that man rn is much much better, trust me.

      Yeah but I wouldn't say 9 but 7. The thing is people say that Izzy has improved leaps and bound maybe in his TKD and grappling but not in his Kickboxing, dude was fighting smaller fighters with not even a decent level of kickboxing meanwhile Pereira was fighting elite kickboxers that the world has to offer in Glory and still casuals think that bobbing and weaving Marvin Vettori and Costa makes Izzy invincible and say that he would beat Alex without much trouble, all the while he would fight a Kickboxing fight if they ever fight again.
