I have just had my first iud put in 4 weeks ago..I was on my period. I had the rods in my arm 3 yrs drs left that in was removed last week. I'm crampy n sore and on a period again. How long does it take to reduce periods.

What if the person had unprotected sex before it was effective on an hormonal iud

It’s considered unprotected sex but bc the hormones also cause the uterine lining to shed, it’s likely that you’d miscarry if you did happen to get pregnant
