Huawei wanted me to share my experience with using the P40 Pro. Here's what I found in terms of the Camera & Getting Your Apps transferred!

Wait a month or so to allow Huawei to push some software updates to improve camera quality and then make a blind camera comparison with other flagships. I'm sure P40 Pro will blow out of water to other flagships.
P40 PRO will do good in camera comparison. But it will be even better, when Huawei will release SW update that DXOMark used. I am just wondering why Samsung haven't sent S20 Ultra to DXOMark. Maybe they are scared?
P40 pro plus is the true flagship of Huawei though

Samsung have the best photos in shadow area and apple have the best color and video recording and night mode and slow motion and zoom is good on Huawei

I really do wish it had Google services. I compared it to the S20 Ultra and the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the results were so close. It just loses points for me when it comes to Google apps because I use them quite a lot.

@MrXelium maybe there are some people more tech literate than you who can invest a few minutes of their life to download the apks they need or alternative app stores like aptoide, out there... For them, this phone is far from trash... You know what is trash?

We had been using Android phones without Google services for so long now. Back when rooting a phone was a must, some of us didn't bother downloading gaaps and we lived with our phones just as well as those who had Google services installed. Now when it is even easier to live without GMS, those who knows, know.
@@greeenwaters9125 there is a big difference between installing google services and getting it to actually{ work } on the p40 , having your phone crashing in your face over and over again is not a good experience ,... and yes this is a $1400 piece of garbage.
@@fatman2772 and when it comes to garbage, it's the US government which is garbage... It basically tried to kill huawei so that it's monopolies can survive . Huawei was beating apple... So us banned them. "if you can't beat them, ban them".... It's clearly the abuse of power... It wasn't because of security issues ( there no strong evidence), but because of anti competitive nature of the government. It was clearly a political move....
In this day, when huawei is struggling, we should help it because, today huawei is banned, tomorrow oppo will be, then Xiaomi.... Only apple, Samsung and Google will be left...
It's not huawei's fault that it lacks gms and it should not pay for the behavior of the US government.... We need competition in the market... Without huawei and other Chinese brands, forget affordable phones and innovation....

How are we going to be able to update those apps we cloned from our old phones if they're not available in the Huawei App Store? I'm really curious because I'm planning to buy the P40 Pro for myself.
Huawei app gallery do it buy giving there official links to update and you can use also some 3rd party store

Don't worry about GMS. It's not a big deal. I have phone cloned all my apps and any others through petal Seach. Amazing. Huawei have really sorted this out.
I have the p20 pro and would love to upgrade but I'm worried about the functionality of my banking apps and also GPS navigation while driving. You didn't mention facebook, were you able to move that over with phone clone? In canada right now there is a promo for their gt2 watch so it's very enticing. The p30 pro would still be a step up for me and it has gms

But the thing is that it runs app gallery so there are some apps that you might but don’t have. This caused by the policies so Huawei can’t use the google play store

Yes. It's best done by downloading CZcams vanced. World better than CZcams. No adverts and able to play in background. It's really an amazing phone with all the apps you really want and some needing work round. No contactless though. That's a bit of a disappointment. I am sure they will sort this out soon.

RED, BLUE, and Yellow are the primary colors. So it makes sense to use the primary color.
I've had my phone under water, at Flagler Beach Florida to be specific and nothing happened. Still works perfectly even after 2 years. I got it whe it came out in 2017. It never over hits. I watched Korean dramas nine stop for like 16 to 20 hours. Since I've confined in my house quarantine after Hawaiian travel😁. After 2 years my family and friends still think my cp Camera is still the best compared to their latest iPhones. And yes no finger prints.

P40 Pro Vs OnePlus 8 Pro?
you were very superficial about the transferred apps but I can understand because your video is from april. From september yes you can install almost all apps from different sources but the main and annoying problem is with the important google apps such as chrome, maps, keep, gmail, youtube or google sync which apparently no one speaks about it (contacts sync etc.). you maybe will be able to install them but you won't be able to use them. they simply won't open. Except maps and chrome that will work but you can't login which can be very upsetting

I'm pretty certain you'll be onto the OnePlus 8 Pro as your daily smartphone next week anyway (and I don't blame you it sounds much better than this phone, apart from the cameras)
Exactly. I have been a subscriber since 2014ish. However I don't like the idea introducing any Hwawei/Chinese product until China changes their horrible ways, infringement, tech-stealing, even CCP virus and so many stuffs all over the world.

Google did not banish them, US did. Google keeps sending requests to the American government to work with Huawei.

Yes. Lloyds and tesco Bank no problem whatsoever. Natwest no. But Web browser on my home screen. I use that app 3 to 5 times a year so no big deal. Other 2 the apps are absolutely OK.
It is a good video. But when the content is sponsored we just got the positive aspects of the phone. Please we like to see the two side of the coin. keep up!

Update the apps from aptoide or apkpure.... It just take a few minutes to install an apk
Of course you get updates. I used to hear this all the time before I bought the phone. Afterwards I realised it was just a load of baloney. Getting all my necessary apps was so easy. They update regularly. Can't fault it. Brilliant phone and deal. Can't recommend enough.

Back in the day, Android apps was growing in Playstrore, but couldn't compete to Apple store.
Now HMS is growing even faster which i believe will catch up with Google playstore quite soon. ,
BUT for hardware itself, Huawei is now the leader in the industry with 5G and superb body material deign+ cameras, battery charging and even fluidity+stability of ui& users experiences, which i think even better than iPhone 11pro max,
Of course im holding the Amazing silver frost P40Pro, i just love it a lot, 😂 😂
There is absolutely no chance App Gallery will catch up with the Play Store. It would be nice to have a third ecosystem (although it's AOSP so still strictly Android), but there are so many examples of other powerful companies failing at this, even during times when Android didn't have such a foothold.
Huawei make nice devices but they're not *so* nice that many people will flock to them instead of, say, Samsung while there are sacrifices and workarounds to harm the user experience. Huawei can pay devs to develop for a while but ultimately those devs need impetus to continue developing: it's a chicken and egg situation whereby for devs to come, buyer need to be there and for buyers to come, devs need to be there.
Ain't gonna happen, but this is a situation where I'd be happy to be wrong

Yes
I can’t get past the terrible software. It has some good specs, but the Galaxy phones, OnePlus, iPhone, and even LG are a much better experience (and LG’s software can be iffy).
