Glad it was helpful!
Thank you liked how you went all out with this pattern making - working in inches is great, helps facilitate calculations.
Great work Cathy
This was WONDERFULLY done. You are an amazing person!
They are all lovely! Can’t decide… all equally wonderful!🦋
Thank you!! Just made one and it was excellent for a beginner sewer like me!
This video was brilliant, have made a gorgeous pink linen look thick fabric version for a winter baby and it's amazing. So chuffed. Most detailed work I've tried so far and couldn't have done it without this video. Thank you for sharing the pattern and sizes!! Legend. :) x
Thank you for this video! It's my first outfit that I have ever sewed and the directions were perfect. I wish I could post photos because I'm so proud of it. :)
I love your humour ! I had a smile on my face the whole time haha

These rompers are super cute, I'm excited to make one too. ❤ thank you for the amazing video and explains so well
Lovely tutorial ❤️Can you please show how to grade this pattern?

Great video! Thanks for actually sharing your pattern! Also like your terms like “stuffed turkey” :) excited to try this for my baby! Thank you much!
You are so welcome!
Love it!!!please do make more baby clothes!
so cute and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing
Thank you I love how easy u made it. I hope I can do it just as easy.
Once you get the hang of it it’s fairly easy! The first one I started making took a few days and the second one I made took a few hours to make
It looks amazing.
Your video was a lifesaver explaining how to put the romper together. I bought a pattern online and the instructions were awful. Thank you so much 😀
Thanks, I'm glad I was able to make it clear for you!
The way you demonstrate is very friendly. For a long time I m trying to sew for my granddaughter but couldn't find a proper pattern. Now I' ll try on yours. Wish me luck to b successful.
Good luck! You can do it!
@@gotcathy Thank you
These come out so great ive done it twice. The video is super easy to follow hopefully i can make it a little bigger now 😅 wish someone had the measurements for 9-12 months
This is so adorable, your work is neat and beautiful too! I plan to make this for my 7 month old, just need to adjust the measurements a little. ❤ thank you for sharing! 😃
that's awesome, let me know how it goes
@@gotcathy I finally finished it, I plan to make another one but with ruffles this time 🤣💖
@@TuesdayBee how much bigger were your measurements?
@@RElizabeth43 I think it was like 3-4ish inches I added? It was a bit tight around her thighs but otherwise fit pretty well! 🥰
@@TuesdayBee Thankyou!
Lifesaver!!! Today I accidentally cut into my dads new shirt… he was so sad because he has a lot of memories towards a shirt like this… they don’t sell it anymore and he searched for this a few months.
Now he wanted to throw it away, but I kept it to sew something for my son/his grandchild. And this is so super cute! I think he will like it on him 😊🙏🏻
Aw this would be an awesome repurpose for the shirt!
This is so cute! I screenshot the pattern and hopefully can try and size up to 12 months. Since this video, have you made a PDF possibly? :)
Love your video and you made me chuckle a few times..Ty!
You probably got a buttonhole attachment with your Brother machine. They're a pretty standard accessory. If I could come show you, I would! You just need to put the attachment on and try it out on a double or triple thickness of cotton fabric scrap. You will LOVE it! It's super easy today. Some of them use an actual button you slip in the back of the attachment to get the correct size buttonhole. It's been three years so maybe you don't need my encouragement anymore. One tip I would offer it to let it make the completed buttonhole twice before removing. Slip your seam ripper in between the rows of stitching and carefully rip the fabric being careful not to cut into the buttonhole stitches. Your rompers are adorable! Thank you for doing this.
I made the one without ruffles for my little boy who’s due soon. I’ve never been more proud of something I’ve made 🥹 thank you so much for the great instructions. The only thing I did different was tuck the front nappy snaps underneath so you can’t they the sew lines for them 🥰🥰
glad you were able to make it!
Pls how did u get the pattern
I just subscribed your channel for your effort in posting quality content videos. You are amazing ❤️.
Really enjoyed making this by following your instructions! Thank you!! I noticed that when I did the "stuffed turkey" step, I needed to put the skirt part wrong side up to make it work out correctly (minute 7:35). I am now making it a second time around, different fabric, yay 😀 I see why you made a few too 😊
Brilliant! Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing this kind of baby ramper sewing diy, l'll try this nexttime when my baby girl come out :)
Have fun!
Thank you for being so generous to share your pattern and instructions. I am also excited to try this.
Glad it helped, and yes, definitely try it out!
i love these! can you please do one for bigger sizes??
Made one today! Excellent! Thanks!
Yay, I hope the onesie turned out great!
I’m going to try to do a bigger size too….

THANKS!! Your rompers are but beautiful!!! I am just so lazy to make the pattern!!!!!
Thanks for making my work very easy . You explained very clearly for making baby romper . It's easy & helpful for my project . And I subscribed your channel too..
I made this and it’s sooo cute! Wish i could share a picture!
As a beginner sewer (making plushies for my daughter) I have been absolutely terrified to try clothes. But this tutorial is PERFECT! The terminology is great because I actually understand what you're saying and what you mean. 😆 I cannot thank you enough! Also, you're hilarious! Haha subscribed!
Glad I could help making sewing clothes a little less intimidating, it's so much fun!
Is the pattern available?
Pls how did u achieve this, because I can't still achieve the pattern drafting even when I screenshot it, I find it difficult
@@hendrixobi6136 did anyone make pattern in pdf
This pattern is perfect. Your presentation, funny, and super easy to follow. Thanks much, Cathy!!
Hey, do you have any other cute patterns for baby outfits ?
I love the green one. Suitable for baby boy
definitely, whats fun about making your own clothes is you get to pick the color
Hi Cathy, do you have any easy way to upsize the pattern to a 6-9 size?
Thanks from Spain! 😍
Thank you for this video ! It’s very helpful ❤ I know this is a big ask but can you sew a no snap no zipper onesie preferably that opens in the front
These are the cutest I've seen!! :D Are we meant to draw the pattern or is there one we can download?
I love it how can I get the patterns pls thank you
Tku! I refuse to pay for a pattern. I have 2 for boys and a dress for a girl so ended up mixing and matching pieces from 3 different patterns. I’m still stuck at the crotch since it’s lined front and back but your video helped. Ready to go finish this!
Hi Cathy I really like your video it is funny and sufficiently detailed, but I would like to know something more about the pattern on image 2 and 3 the 19 "and 14" is for the entire length of the right line ?
Yes, that's correct, thanks for asking!
You are hilarious. I loved the video!
I tried this 3x, I would love it .. If someone made the Pattern in word or PDF. Front pieces was always off. Help Please
If you screen shot her pattern and print it you can draw it up with a ruler yourself on some A4 paper taped together. Worked perfect for me, I’ll definitely be using it again 😎
@@emilyfergusson7145 thank you
It’s the same pattern from oh me oh my sewing or it’s very similar. I love their work. Plus this video makes the step by step instructions so much easier.
@@Bigredbanana91 ok
Just to clarify, is the pattern in cm or inches?
Great video, Thanks for sharing! 😍
Thanks for watching!
I love it I’m really wanting to start sewing and don’t know what machine to buy I’ve been looking at brother
just make sure whichever you buy, that theres a lot of documentation and videos to help you figure out how to use it, if you don't have anyone to help!
Hi Cathy lu, really love your pattern, it's so adorable, on the pattern you drafted, there are solid lines and broken lines, where it is solid, does that mean it is the finished length or just that specific line that's highlighted? Thanks, I don't know if my question makes sense lol
the broken lines indicate the specific line, because some of the cuts are at an angle. i hope that helps!
Awesome Video!
Thank you so much I wanted to make this for a very special child
that's awesome! good luck
Ohhhh this is so cute! Absolute beginner here, what would be the best fabric to use?
I used linen and knit!
This seems like an awesome pattern to try. Do you have measurements for the pocket?
no, i usually just estimate the pocket
That’s a cute romper. What would be the measurement adjustment / addition for a 1 yr old please?
Hi cathy i would like to know something more about the pattern on image 3 the 4.5 is the length of upper right side of the line?
I use my copy machine to copy smaller pieces. The skirts are pretty standard squares but it needed copy in sections after use the original to join. I enjoyed your makingbofbtge outfit
Extra super cute. About to a nana sothis is getting saved.
Just watched the video a couple times… wish you would’ve done more tutorials you make it look so easy 😭
Is there anyway you would sell your patterns as printables?! I would totally buy them!
How many inches would you take off for 0-3 months? I would absolutely love to give it a try
Hi cathy. I just found your awesome video and I really found it helpful. Im due on the next month ready to pop for a baby girl. I just wanted to know if the measurements you used for this project you did in this video is for a newborn? Thanks. Have a nice day 😘
not quite a new born, it's for 3-6months so hopefully she'll grow into it! congratulations
Loved it!! Are those numbers in the pattern in inches or cm?
inches, thanks!
Hi! Im whatching you from Brazil!!💗🇧🇷
OMG I’m a totally beginner in sewing, I need to be better ASAP so I can make this
Harika bir iş başardın, tebrikler, ellerine sağlık. Teşekkürler.👋
Thank you!
I'm new to sewing, so this maybe a stupid question but how would I go about making a bigger version of this romper?
Thank you so much. Your pattern and step by step instructions helped me a lot.
Glad it helped!
thanx i will try it
thats a great pattern thank you! ...I've just been asked to make a pair of rompers for a 4 month old. Will the size given be roughly ok for this age?
Yes, definitely!
@@gotcathy thank you so much. Pattern worked really well. It was simple to follow, your video is great...and the rompers look lovely!
Thank you so so so very much
Do you know what size I would have to have it in for a preemie-newborn size?
great tutorial, but I keep goofing up the pattern. do you have a pdf file?
Ty!❤️
Would love tips on how to size down to newborn or up to toddler
This is great! What would the measurements be for a chunky 18M old? Thank you so much!!
I read somewhere that you add 3cm to everything per size hope it helps
@@AndreaCSaenz-lb1xw awesome! Thank you for your reply!
Thank you..
Omg thank you!!
hi cathy, do you have a pdf version of this pattern, please.
Omg this is so cute I wanna try it look so hard 😩
give it a try! I'm here if you have questions!
Have you ever sown clothes for your whippets? I am trying to find patterns and how to do it online, but haven’t found much so far.
I have! I'm planning to make a video soon, what type of clothing would you be interested in seeing?
@@gotcathy Sorry, I just saw your reply. I think what I am mostly looking for is something with sleeves/legs. But I really liked your video, it was already very helpful.
