I actually couldn't stand these people. They were all trying so hard to have a "big" personality mostly by being loud and taking enthusiasm. Like you can love talking to people and being around people without making it so about you
My old employer had us take a test to determine if we were introverts or extroverts, and had us stand on opposite sides of the room and give our opinions about the other. The introverts were a bigger group and man, they were scathing. They called us too energetic, annoying, said that we didn’t get work done because we were always socializing, that we were oblivious to their needs to be left alone. We just took our roasting and then said we felt bad and sat down 😂

You can be asertive and have social skills when being introverted, you just have to work a bit harder since you don´t frequent social situations as much, so you get less "practice". When I was in highschool I couldn´t even meet anyone new, I was always so anxious and self concious. A few years later I forced myself into a lot of social situations I wanted to avoid, turned out I was empathetic, funny, confident and a very insightful friend, when I found myself in situations where I was alone and had to make new friends I had no problem joining a group or even creating one around me, literally everyone I´ve ever wanted to get along with, I did. Most people are nice and you´d be surprised with the results if you put yourself out there. I still need entire days for me, I still leave places early if I´m tired of interacting, I still have all my solo hobbies etc. But that doesn´t mean anything outside of that, I don´t have to feel bad or be socially crippled. Wish you a great life.

i’m socially awkward and don’t really hangout with people much so i’ve always thought i was an introvert but i’ve noticed after hanging out with someone i have much more energy and feel a lot better so i don’t think you have to be outgoing or good with people to be technically an extrovert

There are also tons of performers, actors, etc. who are introverts. It all just boils down to where you get your energy, not your personality. Like I love hosting gatherings, but I do prefer smaller groups and one on one interactions and need time to recharge after. Also there are extroverts with anxiety who may not have a "big personality", but if they get most of their energy from interacting with people, they're still an extrovert. It just seemed in the video everyone was trying to act so animated when that isn't what being an extrovert is actually about.

Funny enough as someone that trained to be an actor a lot of actors I know are actually introverted. It’s a stereotype that performers are inherently extroverted. Actors, particularly good ones that are natural chameleons excel at putting on different masks and personas to keep from being personally vulnerable. The entire question is a bit faulty because there are so many stereotypes that go into most people’s understanding of what extroverted or introverted really means?

I’m totally an introvert but no one I meet initially believes it because I only go out when I have full energy. It’s only after they know me well enough to realize they only get two of those days every two weeks that they believe I’m super introverted.

Career has nothing to do with being an introvert/extrovert. I'm a nurse and talk to so many people when I'm at the hospital, have to wake strangers up, tell others what to do, etc. When I am home I'm a hermit. No correlation.

My friend Shan is a crazy extrovert, always needs to be around people, doing shit etc and she’s super laid back and reserved demeanor. I spotted an introvert once.. turned out to be the biggest mistake of my entire life. The introvert in question was not a fan of me bringing attention to their existence, and in turn they managed to get the entire world to turn against me. I’ve been lambasted by friends and family, exiled from public areas and government buildings, and forced into a life of making apology videos. You’d think after 70+ apologies I would be forgiven but it seems these things take time. I pray one day the world forgives me. I’m sorry.

It seems most people don't know what extrovert and introvert actually means. You can be shy and extroverted. Introverts spend their social battery around people and extroverts recharge theirs. You can love people, be really outgoing but at the end of the day you need to go home and recharge your energies
my experience with some introverts is that they tend to constantly whine and complain that no one understands them and that if they odnt have alone time theyll explode into sa million pieces. that being said as a fellow introvert, it's not about hating people its just about genuinely loving being alone. that doesn't mean you are lonely.

Dude this shit isn’t even accurate. Im an introvert through and through but I’m super talkative and bubbly when I’m in social situations because I feel pressured to be. My friend Shan is a crazy extrovert, always needs to be around people, doing shit etc and she’s super laid back and reserved demeanor. Def doesn’t have to be categorized by having an obnoxious personality. I also can’t imagine being this proud of being an extrovert. There are cool chill extroverts like my friend Shan but these kinds of extroverts are just annoying
I spotted an introvert once.. turned out to be the biggest mistake of my entire life. The introvert in question was not a fan of me bringing attention to their existence, and in turn they managed to get the entire world to turn against me. I’ve been lambasted by friends and family, exiled from public areas and government buildings, and forced into a life of making apology videos. You’d think after 70+ apologies I would be forgiven but it seems these things take time. I pray one day the world forgives me. I’m sorry.

It seems most people don't know what extrovert and introvert actually means. You can be shy and extroverted. Introverts spend their social battery around people and extroverts recharge theirs. You can love people, be really outgoing but at the end of the day you need to go home and recharge your energies
my experience with some introverts is that they tend to constantly whine and complain that no one understands them and that if they odnt have alone time theyll explode into sa million pieces. that being said as a fellow introvert, it's not about hating people its just about genuinely loving being alone. that doesn't mean you are lonely.
