CFMoto 650 Adventura Test with Shinko 705 Tires

- After my previous review, I had the stock tires swapped for Shinko 705's. The 705 is an inexpensive 70% road and 30% offroad tire. The front size is 120/70r17 and rear is 150/70r17. The 705 did not come in the oem tire size. The tire size change did not hurt the handling of the vehicle in any way. I felt the adventure bike should come oem with these tires and they definitely would be my first upgrade! The oem tires are great for street and touring use but for an adventure bike, I felt the tires needed more offroad capability. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments!

Outrageous! Not really a bike to do that mud & dirt with limitation of the suspension & ground clearance, but it still will do it for the price & is damn impressive ✅
Seems like a good little machine. Great value for what you are getting.
I had Shinko 705s on my G-Strom (V-Strom 1000) and was able to drag pegs at the track and ride any fire roads available. Great 90/10 tires. I am seriously looking at the Adventura.
Que buen video amigo ,que hermoss cubiertas y que bien suena el bicilindrico de CF
Excellent video!
That's has by far been the best review of this bike yet. I'm trying to upgrade my suz dr650 to something w more hp.
whats the HP on your DR650? 60HP on the CFMOTO650
@@MachTuck DR650 through all years has been 42-ish
Man that was fun!
Like the looks, like the price. Its the sound that turns me off. Why does this bike sound do different? Oh and... Your one heck of a rider!
Thanks I appreciate it! The engine sound in this video was recorded with a lavalier microphone taped on the frame close to the muffler. It may differ from the sound in real life especially when riding the bike. I rode this bike a couple times last week and its quiet in person. The parallel twin engine motorcycles sound distinctly different than v-twin engines also. We listed one of these 2022 650's for $4,999 this past week!
Hi máster
Que tal las suspensiones ?
Yo se que se pueden ablandar o endurecer, como funciona en camino de tierra la moto y las suspensiones?
It just need more ground clearance and bit bigger wheel and could be a great budget crossover.
As it is is a great budget tourer /commuter.
Question Hoagie -- why did you get the CFM, which is a relative unknown for durability in the states, rather than a nice used Versys, V-Strom or other similar bike? You seem experienced and knowledgeable about motorcycling -- I'm curious.
Would love to upgrade the LCD dash from MY21 to TFT of MY22! It requires a lot of new parts. ECU, dash, dash cover, wiring harness, LH switch block, RH switch block & a T-Box. If this could be packaged up as an upgrade kit, they’d be a few owners interested for sure.
I will ask the CFMoto rep to report back to the headquarters about them making these a kit. I could even look up all the parts and let you know how much it would be individually
@@hoagiemoto I wouldn’t think there’s any difference between US & AU parts🤔
1200 euros all the cost here in Greece.
I test rode a '23 Adventura and the display completely washed out in direct sunlight. I'd save your money and wait until CFM comes out with a more usable TFT.
Thanks for the video. Going to pick one of these up in a week or so. That tank size, bags, and mpg is perfect. Plus the price. I do travel long distance to see family and to work 70 miles to and back from work/ family just a straight drive this is a perfect bike for this. How’s the stock seat? Is it Comfortable?
What is the mpg? I can’t find any information
@@Jusanothermex I picked mine up about 3 weeks ago and I’m getting 65mpg filling up at 280 miles. Showing quarter tank left on the screen. The bike is real nice, been taking her off road also so comfy.
@@crazyweirdperson hey thank you so much for the quick response. Stay safe. And thank you again.
@@crazyweirdperson would this bike do 80 at a good rpm every morning for about an hour drive
@@ANYcc yes did very well. I don’t have the bike anymore I got rear ended last summer only had the bike for 4 months. Was at a red light waiting and yep someone on a cellphone rear ended me. I was fine landed on their hood but bike was totaled. I might get another bike this summer I don’t know yet just waiting for 2024 I kind of want one of those hybrid Kawasaki’s.
In your opinion, how is this compare to a DR650 Suzuki?😊
I appreciate the commentary. No need to shut up unless you're out of relevant chatter.
Hi, why do use ECO mode instead sport one? Thanks
Please add a link to your dealer’s website. Thanks.
Despite the name the Adventura isn't really an adventure bike and the Ibex sold by CF Moto is...
People that review these Adventuras seem to think they are great commuters or light sport tourers, but nobody else thinks they are actually an adventure bike. CF Moto should really consider a new name for this thing.
i found one of these stupid cheap for 3k basically brand new 500miles on it whats some other good mods?
Cfmoto 650mt ❤
I’m thinking about picking one of these up for my first bike, would this be a good option as I can’t find a single Versys-X in my area?
I think they are a great first bike. For the price, it's hard to beat
@@hoagiemoto i ended up going with CB500F, it’s been a great bike so far with the limited riding I’ve been doing in parking lots until I get my permit.
How's the engine vibration?
How do you like this bike for touring? Like constant 75-80mph for a few hours. I plan on taking trips to the mountains about 6 hours away and I’m looking for kind of a do it all bike.
I wonder the same. I blew the clutch on my dr650 trying to do 70mph ito the wind on the hwy.
Ive got a bike exactly like this and also a brand new Harley Davidson Heritage Classic,,,,,,The Adventura will cruise effortlessly at 80-90-100 mph,,,,feels better than the Harley to me and the Harley has an 1868cc engine!
I have the 700CL-xand i cruise regularly at 80-90mph for 1-2 hours at a time no problem. at 4000 miles with no issues yet.
@@mattqueen8748 must of been the adjustment
I went across Canada in a 15000 Km 5 weeks trip well over loaded and I have the same clutch from day one.the bike has 100200 Km.
I sure like the adventura, thinking of swapping the DR
Lol that's a 50/50 not a knobbie :) put some 606s on there! Jk... I've ran many of those 50 50 tires tho over the years because I have always lived on gravel or rock. Sand and death on the roads all of the time. I have a sportster set up for ADV, the tires make all the difference and you made a good choice they are a great tire for the money. I can't tell a difference really on the highway either unless I'm going 80.
Hahaha I know they aren't a knobby but it looked and sounded awesome for the preview picture. The tires work awesome. Thinking about throwing something aggressive on my MT-09 for awhile also
@@hoagiemoto have you ever tried motoz tractionators? May be the tire just for you, I find them to be the best 50 50 tire that is still aggressive with decent wear life. If I'm going into the rough I run the usual 606, but more so because they are beyond easy to change in the middle of nowhere.
Can the 650 hold 80mph pretty well for a bout an hour drive every morning
easily mate.
Hai bucato il terminale di scarico?? Il rumore è diverso
No, ho posizionato un microfono sul lato destro del telaio vicino allo scarico. Il microfono deve raccogliere alcuni toni di scarico diversi
I would have done the kind of Big blocks but yeah that's what I want to do I wish this bike came with a set of spoked rims I think then it would be the cat's ass
Is that the stock exhaust sound?
Im sure it is
Does this bike have cruise control?
Unfortunately it does not. You will have to use a throttle lock if you want something like that. I wish this came with cruise control though
Which is kind of funny. Out of all the bikes from CFMOTO this one should have cruise control not the 700 clx.
@@crazyweirdperson Facts
This is an older design, it's 4 years old and has been sold in other markets for a while. The 700's are pretty new which is why they have the extra stuff
Too bad that thing wasn't 20 lbs lighter.. But not bad 👍
I haven't ridden one, but I've sat on one and played with leaning it down and seeing how easy it is to get back up, and it's surprisingly light (or at least light-feeling). It's much, much easier to pull one of these back upright than a V-Strom 650, for whatever that's worth.
It can be… if tou remove the stock exhaust :D
Can you not mute the sound of the ride video? I can hardly hear your voice over the motorcycle.
du
Is this stock exhaust?
Yes
