    To be honest, i feel that auto brightness doesn't really help with the battery life as it will usually brighten up the screen to 80 to 90 percent brightness when you only need 60 to 70 percent to be able to see what you're doing on your phone. And most of the time the auto brightness stay higher for a longer period which consume the battery life. So having a consistent brightness level and manually adjusting the brightness accordingly will save more battery than using auto brightness.

    • @FindMeInsanity

    One thing I always do no matter what the phone is, I disable notifications on all apps except the ones I really need. Setting the AOD to a fixed low brightness is also good for battery life since you're only likely to use it indoors. Sort of Unrelated topic, but it's part of Samsung ecosystem so here I go.
    We know Dex is hybrid Desktop like Environment with multi windows, and move things around, and some apps get desktoppy feel.
    But is it really great or do you think it's a gimmick? maybe for S or note phones it's not.
    But hey, what's the real difference between using an App say Microsoft Office in Dex mode in regular Tablet mode, & Dex mode ? Are there features that appear on Dex mode for Office that's not in Regular mode? Thanks in Advance.
    If you can make a video on Dex, and apps that work on dex, I really appreciate it

    • @chroesu
      @chroesu Před 2 lety +1

      I'm trying to replace my laptop with Samsung Dex and Office works the same with Dex and regular Tablet Mode. It's ok but some features aren't working. I tried the office android app and the office browser version and for me the browser version works better (or more windows like). For simple word, excel and powerpoint stuff it's working good enough. Biggest problem for me is the bad file system and somehow I cant sync dropbox or onedrive so I always have to sync manually my files.

    • @wowitscrazyinthere5745
      @wowitscrazyinthere5745 Před 2 lety

      @@chroesu I think google drive (& google docs mobile suite ) is the best solution for you. You can always download files from google when you are at your primary computer . This is not problem of Samsung alone. I think if google made file handling easier, it would reflect on samsung. However, google has kind of given up on tablets, so I'm thankful to samsung for keeping up. iPad also have the same problem. They don't have full version of office.
      Or you can use chrome remote desktop (& use your windows programs directly on tab)
      Or use it as a second screen
      Hope that helps 🙏

    I'm not sure if I should get the s20 Fe or the s21 Fe..... I've heard from some people that the s21 Fe battery drains a lot faster due to the overclocked Snapdragon 888 processor. Plus, I don't like how they removed the SD card slot on the s21 Fe. The s21 Fe seems like a great phone and everything I just don't think paying the extra $300 is worth it if all you get is an upgraded processor that overheats the phone, and a slightly better display. Cricket is selling the s20 Fe for $400, so I think I'm just going to go with that one. 👍( Or I could always wait for the price to go down on the s21 Fe. )

    Am in India, so we get the Exynos variant.
    Battery life has been consistently between 5.5-6Hrs. with AOD turned off, and refresh rate set to 120Hz, with display set to go off after 5 minutes.
    The reason I steer clear of the 60Hz standard refresh rate, is because OneUI is such a bloated mess of a user interface, and am afraid switching to 60Hz. will really sour my experience with this device, which has been great, thus far.
    That being said, great commentary as always, Adam.
    Excelsior!

      In many ways, yes. Especially if you can get a good trade in deal

      @TechOdyssey awesome the s21 Fe has been getting my attention. I don't plan on trading the s10 since in my opinion was samsungs last best smart phone they ever made. Especially having the SD card and headphone jack is still important to me. The s22 is kinda out of my range but prices has been getting ridiculous.

      My s20 plus sucked so bad because it had an exynos variant. After many software updates till now I didn't realise the phone lasted well. When I switched to s21 fe Holy shit the phone sucks in battery life. Everytime I'm out I have a mini panic inside me that the phones gonna die.

      Same, my battery drains so fast for granted i have it for just a week so maybe that plays a role idk.

      @@justgocoolla Same for my samsung a70 but atleast the battery lasted long ash i could get a solid 9 hours out of it with this at most i can get 5-6 hours and even becomes less when i’m outside since i’m using my 5g data and bluetooth…..the other day i went out the house with 59% and when i was on my way back home my phone literally died on me ( this was all in the span of 4 hours btw) with my a70 i could atleast still survive for an hour with 5% if i turned on battery saving mode.

    What is the point of the phone having features if you have to turn them off so the battery wont drain? Battery life on this phone is very bad or not well optimized. I had mine for 5 weeks and it drains heavily even when its on standby. As soon as i have the chance i will switch. And i came from an iphone 11 which i thougt it didnt have good battery but this one is really really bad. Wouldn recommend buying!

      @@tsuyuasui7297 Good news, the battery did get a lot better, but it did take 2 3 months. I had a few software updates so i dont know if that helped or the phone got use to which apps i use the most and adjusted according to that.. Hope it gets better for you
