  • This is the story about my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 disaster with my preorder and having to rebuy the Z Flip 6 at Best Buy and losing all of my bonuses, and none of my other orders showed up. Also, this is my Z Flip 6 unboxing video.

    You CAN use dex with your flip 6. Go to developer settings, enable "force desktop mode", use a type c hub to connect to a display and enjoy. In fact, you get access to the New Dex interface which is native on tablets and never before seen on a mobile phone device.

      Oh yes, this is working pretty well. Only thing is you can never know if they'll remove this feature in a future update or not... What you said is true, tho - officially, the flip is not supposed to support Dex

      @@rldeppe1 It really is lame, the flip 4 has a pretty strong chipset. I'd suggest you hold on to it tho, I suspect this is a thing for the One UI 6.1.1 update, so you might get this feature unlocked on your device soon, too.

      Ehhh I wasn't a big fan of "new" dex it just felt like my same tablet lay out but now I can make apps float a lil easier. Missed the task bar and the dex version quick menu

      Samsung almost screwed me. Received my 44mm galaxy watch 7 on the 31st with only the watch and free band, not the band that comes with the watch, called them twice and they said the promotion was over twice, finally Received my promo code for the band that was supposed to come with the watch. The fabric band I got for free feels better anyway and the watch is great. Hope everything works out well for you.

      Ups has really been messing up lately. My amazon package never got delivered but I got a refund so its fine. My sibling package was send to the wrong address. It's a mess I do hope something shows up

    I've read plenty of stories on Reddit about Samsung claiming that the trade-in device never showed up (then the customer sends a video where they show the shipping process and get cleared of the debt). Then there's also this issue where postal workers steal packages on the regular. It's a shame that this seems to be a common occurrence.

    Wiiiiiild that someone (you) who's been such a big supporter of Samsung, given them so much press (usually pretty positive) and paid out of YOUR OWN POCKET to go see their presentation got screwed like that...I hope they make it right.

      I'm not the only one either. I am glad I could go because I was able to make some great advanced content for you guys, but it cost more than the Z Fold 6 for me to go up there lol. And then have to buy the Z Fold 6, Flip 6, Ring, Watch, etc... They did give me the Buds 3 Pro though :)

    I believe the $100 increase is due to the AI features which they are claiming are for “free” but will charge in two years. So it comes out to $50 per year for everyone who is purchasing this year. Just a thought.

    I've been waiting for this video! I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience. I got mine on the 19th and the biggest difference I notice between it and my previous phone (S23 Ultra) is the weight and the stabbing in my hip I get when carrying it in my pocket. Also, this is a night and day difference from the last time I tried out a flip which was the Z Flip 3. I went with the ZF6 over the Motorola because of the extra storage and the Samsung ecosystem which I'm fully locked into at this point.

    Im sorry you experienced a HORRIBLE preorder...1.8k fold, 1.1k flip, 300 buds, 650 watch, 400 ring...4.2k worth of product....holy shit man Samsung screwed you big time!!! Its even worse that you wanted to save money and since THEY canceled it. They didn't even bother honoring the pre order deal. Horrible.

    My flip 5 is in amazing condition . I really didnt see the reason to upgrade this year to the 6. But the watch .. now thats something id buy in a heart beat.

      I pre-ordered the watch I'm loving the new sip/chip this watch is super smooth animations are beautiful reminds me of the Apple watch when it comes to fluidity Samsung killed it with the watches this year 💯

      Yeah I skip the fold and flip this year and got wearables this round. Watch 7, watch ultra, and ring is solid so far. Watches are smooth! Waiting on buds 3 pro. They have been delayed

    No DeX and only a 60Hz screen in the front still makes it a no go for me on the Flip 6.
    I just got my pre-order Navy Z Fold 6 yesterday and I'm in love with it. It's my first Z Fold phone and I currently have a Pixel Fold & S22U. I'm only getting the Z Fold 6 for $520 after 3 years. I just checked today and wow I would've had to pay $700 more for the same phone!

    Samsung had issues with preorders cancelling because the shipping address(pick up location) didn't match the billing address. My preorder got cancelled 4 times with no real reason provided by Samsung until I ended up choosing the option to have it shipped to my home and the order stuck

      @TechOdyssey i ordered earbuds to be shipped on a different account about the same time i placed the preorder pickup for the flip6 and was in the same situation as you. My buds shipped instantly but my flip6 got cancelled.

      Picked up my Flip 6 from the Samsung store as well, but I had to go in and ask if my order had arrived. They never notified me if arrived via email or call.

    Usually they are quite good on the whole purchase experience. Sorry for your experience we skipped on this gen because of the low trade in value. We spent it on the new Buds Pro 3s.

    That's interesting to hear. UPS had mine out for delivery Friday morning and it showed in Salina, KS at 5:45 am. Got a notice late afternoon that it was not delivering due to an unforeseen problem. Sat all weekend and Monday still nothing as far as updates...no tracking. It did show up Monday late morning. I already got a billing on it and didn't have the phone.

    One of the reason why i hate preordering is cause my courier service lost my dads new phone that we ordered like 4 or 5 years ago and never got it then just last year i preordered samsungs new tablet and they lost it and never got it as well. Safe to say that now if i want to buy something i just wait for it to come to my local store and buy it in person. Sorry you had such a bad experience with delivery.

    This reminds me of the Google Pixel Fold release. What a mess that was. I was actually able to sell my Pixel Fold for a slight profit because of their screwup. The only thing I'm waiting for now is the Galaxy Ring.

    This is the first I've heard of the Z Flip series not having DeX! To memory, it seems people have handwavingly gone "obviously all S series and Z series phones have DeX..." and that's a decent chunk (although less than half) of why I was considering switching to the Flip 6. Thank you for the information!

    That's crazy! I had No problems with my pre-orders from Samsung this year when I ordered my Watch 7 Ultra and Buds 3 pro. I even got them a WEEK earlier than release date! HOWEVER... I DID have a pre-order issue with Motorola this year. First time ordering from them and I decided to get the new RAZR+ instead of upgrading my Fold5 and they cancelled my order TWICE! After I didn't get it a few days after official release date I just gave up on ordering from them and will most likely stick with my Fold5 unless I cave and get the RAZR and I REALLY like that phone..

I have a Iphone 13 pro max that I'm not using and could get a good deal from T-Mobile. I saw your review on the Z fold and it is enticing. Either way I go, my everyday phone is the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Any suggestions?

    I set a date to remind me of the Samsung event. Pre ordered immediately, not waiting any time knowing things like this happen to ppl who wait for whatever reason. I traded an S23 Ultra for $800 off my Fold6. Received my Fold6 and ProBuds3 2 days before they were supposed to show up. Didn't rip my buds apart because i dont treat toys like lawn tools. Zero issues. Also Dex is available on my Fold6 and my Flip6 i just received in mint green along with the KindCase in green. Don't wait if you rly rly want the phone or said item. Plan for expenses even if they're only a few hundred.

    Those delivery drivers know what's in the package 😮 I had the same issue with my Samsung S8 ultra the postman came to the door with the item as the ring door bell saw the big package in his hand he left a card and when we went to the post office the next day to collect I got a mini iPad 😂😂

    Great content. The only thing I've ever pre ordered is my watch 7ultra from T-MOBILE, which came to my house. I rather go to the store and pick the one I like, hold it, turn it on, and feel which band feels the best for me. And this way, no mail person or fedex, or ups can steel it. I normally wouldn't have had my watch shipped to my house. But T-MOBILE wouldn't let it come to their store. I dont mind not getting the pre-recorded stuff. As for trade-in, I got $350 for my watch4 44mm from T-MOBILE. And I only pay $ 27.00 a month, including 360 protection for the watch. 😊

    I had the same issue at Best Buy on the Ultra watch.. My pre order was pushed back even though I ordered on day one, I ended up canceling it and picking up one they had in stock in the different color :(

    Wow Samsung surely dropped the ball big time. I hope you either get your preorder if not a full refund. I find it kind of funny how folks crap on Google for there choice of chipset and whatnot and say must go with Samsung (Android) its more powerful blah blah blah but then this happens that doesn't leave a great taste in your mouth. But keep pushing out that great honest content that we have grown to love brother.

    I have the same problem with my watch 7 44mm version in green order. It says since 8 days out for delivery by DHL Express. DHL said: we don't know the tracking number. We received no package from Samsung. I chattet with Samsung yesterday. I will see if there can help me. Maybe it's lost or stolen. Who knows.
    I currently use the Flip 5. I like it. Not so much the battery life and camera. Not sure if I should get the Flip 6. Or the beautiful Xiaomi Mi Mix Flip.

    I got the same treatment but my pre-order finally went through with most all delivered by yesterday (8/5).. Considering I pre-ordered on the 1st day and only got the watch on the 1st expected date of 7/24.. No delivery date until 8/3/2024 and for it come in on 8/5/2024... Multiple calls into their customer service centers with no timeline or resolution... Still waiting for the earbud which is projected to be here by 8/9/2024 (at least it shipped)_.. Also, I would recommend signature required so it forces them to deliver.. if not, we know it was stolen from UPS.. UPS delivery is never accurate but luckily the fold came in earlier (1 hour than expected).. Now Samsung Care started on 8/3 (day of delivery) and not when I got it an registered (fighting with them on 2 days)... Also, price match (cheaper purchase of the same thing after the pre-order purchases) and refund for all the charging, etc... BTW, their escalation is disappointing and resolution never seem to end.. Urgh.. They were so good then but so bad now.. Being that I worked for Samsung, this is even more disappointing..

    You will get it. It happened to my Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. They got hit with the Croudstrike update issue and so everything got delayed. I got my earbuds on Jul 23rd and they were supposed to be delivered on Jul 19th.

    I preordered the Z fold 6 in navy blue, chose pickup at best buy. Release day comes and it's 3 pm and I still don't have an update. 1 pm, I did an experiment. Put in a same day order for another color also showing available at that best buy. An hour later, order read for pickup. smh. I waited two more hours since I now had a gauranteed device to pick up. Still no update on ready for pick up. Despite that I ordered another one and a watch ultra on release day that were both ready at different locations within one hour. So I cancelled the preorder and picked up the same day order. smh

    I hear you. Ordered mine and a watch with Verizon and 1st they sent email and put order on hold. Then had to call and go thru email to send a picture of my id and selfie. Then had to order again and had to go through same all over again then one more time of sending id. Crazy I’m still waiting on email and supposed to be 2 day shipping. If not I’m sticking with my Samsung galaxy 10+ as it still uses an sd card . So I feel you

    I'm having trouble getting my Galaxy watch ultra delivered. I ordered it and the first date was supposed to be delivered on the 16th ( I paid for fast shipping), then the date changed to the 20th, now it's changed to the 22nd. I checked and it still hasn't shipped.

    That really sucks. I've never had an issue ordering from samsung. When I'm not using iPhone, i always and only pre-order from Samsung...but someone dropped the ball with your orders. I ordered mine the crafted black one as well this last wednesday and chose the $6.99 option and it arrived yesterday around 4 something pm...so I know they should have had 0 reasons why they are having so many issues with your gear. The phone is amazing by the way...and I hope you get your crafted black because it's amazing. Sorry again for your order issues, it doesn't make any sense.

    Sorry for your experience. I know you're a Sammy fan. I pre-ordered my through tmobile, but I also pre-ordered the regular watch and cases. I just got the watch yesterday and the phone the day before that. I have been enjoying mine. This is the first foldable for me. I wished there was a store where I could have seen the OnePlus open.

    My watch 7 and my new ear buds just got the email yesterday that they weren’t going to be there when they were supposed to and now they have no idea when they’ll be at the store to pickup. What a bummer

    Omg.. that's some craziness.. I ordered the watch pro on Saturday and I got it today. I noticed that the different watch c colors and the band colors had different dates and that changed by the day when I was procrastinating about trading in my 5 pro. I went with the titanium grey and the grey band.. liked the orange band but knew I wouldn't use it all the time. The orange band had a later delivery date also. I'm sorry man you want me to send you mine so you can do the unboxing... I'm running around with my kids today so I won't see it until tonight.

    Sorry this happened! Thought us John Q's were the only one's who get screwed! It's weird because I got all my items unexpectedly and I ordered my ring late. I got the gold because after looking at them in person at Best Buy, I felt it was the only offering that looked like a ring the silver and black look cheap especially the silver. That's just me!

    Oh man that is so terrible luck. I'm not shocked your order with UPS was stolen. This is why I only do store pickup for phones now. Especially after my pixel 6 was stolen years ago and whoever took it ripped one side open and filled it up with some crap and sealed it.

    My pre-order for the z fold 6 came in on the 19th. Then on the 22nd. my ring came in. I also pre-ordered the watch ultra but it is pushed out till August 14th for some reason. I'm not sure what is up with that i have seen many people that have gotten their days ago... I'm sorry you had such a rotten experience.

    Wow Samsung dropped the ball this year. I didnt upgrade my z flip this year, since they raised the price and preorder trade in credit was crap. Not sure what happened with Samsung this year, maybe theyll have something good for foldables next year.

    I pre-ordered everything before the Galaxy Unpacked was even finished and received a "sorry for the delay" email yesterday when everything was supposed to arrive today. The email also said the delivery date would be updated once more information was known. This is by far the WORST launch I've experienced being a loyal Samsung knight year after year after year. I'm really tempted to cancel all my items because of how disappointing this has been.

    I got the s24 plus back in February. Good thing Tmobile had a deal going on so i was able to trqde in my phone and basically get the phone free. Ive thought about getting a flip phone and im really looking at the razr 50 plus for my next phone next year if possible or later this year 😅

    Well that's a crazy thing that happened to you from Samsung with your orders, you want to hear something crazy I pre-ordered my phone from Verizon and I got it on the 22nd of July and before the stores were even able to sell them which was the next day today I had my phone turned on yesterday before any of the stores even sold the phones, deactivated my phone yesterday, see you in the next broadcast.

    I ordered my Flip 6 on July 10 and received it on July 19th. I think I wasn't suppose to get it until the 24th??? Any hoot is the best Flip yet!! I'm getting WAY better battery life! Sorry this crap happened to you brotha!! Everything for nothing sucks!

    Side note to you comment on dex.
    I know some people love dex, but I absolutely hated it. Trying to charge my phone and then dex would mirror my phone at work, and then I had such a hard time just charging and getting dex to go away. When I saw that the z series didn't have dex, it was a huge plus for me.

    I read some bad stories about ordering the Razr 2024 on the Moto site too. They apparently don't handle some debt/prepaid cards well causing a lot of confusion. They don't ship it yet they charged your card and claimed they did not receive payment. I can feel for those of those buyers because you know where those support calls land (overseas) and those people are clueless.

    I had issues with mine too similar to yours. I was positive that it was lost/stolen but it finally was delivered 2 days after they initially said it was supposed to arrive. UPS also just dropped it off at my door without getting my signature despite it clearly being marked as "signature required". Glad I work from home now so it was less of an issue but this is still poor service from UPS.

    I pre-ordered mine on the 10th. UPS tracking said "package damaged"... anyways I had to call customer service and they almost didn't want to Order it again but finally I got it yesterday yeeeaaa🎉

    Sorry about all your problems. Really hate to hear that as my last four pre-ordered deals from Samsung have had no problems including getting my Galaxy watch 7 ultra last week.
    Speaking of the watch, my carrier is T-Mobile and online it stated watch plan was $12.00 per month with $35.00 connection fee. I called my local T-Mobile store here in Corpus Christi just to make sure the watch plan would not increase my phone plan, which it doesn't.
    I must have got a great agent as she told me if I brought the watch and my phone to her at the store she would set it up and give me a price of $10.00 connection fee and $7.00 per month. Worked great, she was fast and knew exactly what she was doing. Great shout out to T-Mobile.

    You are right about how they focus more on the Flip 6 and not on the Fold. Maybe next year the Fold will be better. I bought both phones to see which one I like better and I like the Flip 6 better. I will be returning the Fold 6 next week.

    The only thing holding me back from the Flip 6 is not Dex compatible I rely heavily on Dex using my S23 Ultra hopefully next year Samsung will wake up!

    Hey, sorry to hear about what happened, that sucks - isn’t there a way to file a case to atleast get a refund? I hope there is bc that’s an expensive phone!
    I’m in the Philippines and I believe the courier Samsung uses here is a company (unknown to me but) they’re affiliated with because the delivery guy also takes the phone we’re trading in, so he’s responsible for checking and returning the old phone, which then avoids the new phone from getting stolen
    Loved my zflip5 that I didnt want to upgrade, but the deal I had last year was only a 2yr warranty and a charging adapter. This year, the deal includes a galaxy watch 6 classic and the led flipsuit, so I basically upgraded bc of the watch lol. But im loving the zflip6 ❤

    I've had several z flips and there is no way these foldables are going to last 7 years. I don't know why they keep honing on this. Maybe im more tough on my phones but i can't get these to last the standard 2 years yet!

    I left samsung after my watch 4 classic trade showed up empty box for my trade in. I got charged $250 for trade in and full price for the watch 6. Even after alot of complaining I was treated like I did all this on purpose and only got refunded $35 after returning watch 6
