Republics and democracies are not the same thing. The Dutch republic was never a democracy and the Netherlands hasn't been a republic since 1806.
They probably consider it a democracy if a majority of the male population can vote because apparently 1897 is the first election after an increase of the voting population that allowed a majority of male citizen to vote. If it was about universal male suffrage it would have been 1917.

6:19 why isn’t Germany included? The federal republic of Germany is a democracy since the 23rd May 1949 so it should be included in the list behind Costa Rica at number 22. The reunion in 1990 just incorporated the territory of the GDR into the FRG but the democracy exists since 1949.

Unique fact about Canada: After the 4 self-governing colonies (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario) merged into Canada, the new country actually became less democratic than before because women who owned property lost the right to vote. They had that right before confederation in the 4 colonies.
The reason australia is such a recent democracy is because before federation in January First, 1901, we were split between multiple different colonies. Those colonies were themselves democratic, and had an elected governor, but they can't be counted as an australian democracy cos australia as a unified entity didn't exist yet.

I work in surveying where we use GPS surveying so we know which satellite systems our units use and how many satellites we are locked onto. Usually most units are compatible with GPS, Glonass and Galileo. However, over the past few years, the Glonass satellites have not been very reliable so I've turned Glonass on any units I've worked with.

As a venezuelan i can confirm that venezuela does want part of guyana that area is called the ezequibo or ezequiba. Its rich in gold and used to be part of venezuela until the british government set up new borders for British guyana. It started this conflict and Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro actually deliberately made the ezequiba a state of venezuela last month. Even though they still haven’t been able to reclaim it.

The Galileo system is nearly identical to the US GPS, only that it is more accurate, and more importantly, not under military control, it is a 100% civilian controlled system, but of course it also has military applications. Also, quite some systems can make use of both GPS and Galileo to enhance the accuracy of one's position.

It seems to me it should be since at least 1848. And we had the Batavian Republic before that, which also was democratic. But we were a republic loooong before that. Not that means democratic, but still better then most.
