Here's the most believable theory:
In Ditto, Ban hee-soo(girl with cast) represents New jeans' producer Min hee-jin
and the boy is Bang si-hyuk of HYBE
MV is telling there's a conflict between two
and SIde A: if Newjeans and Hee-jin is not separated
Side B: if Hee-jin decided to leave HYBE without Newjeans
And in OMG, it shows about Dahn World, the cult that Bang si-hyuk believes
It's related to Korean myth about bear and that's why some bears in the MV
Sorry for my bad English and this could be wrong.
But the new theory of these MVs was really interesting.
I just realised,in ditto mv they were dancing the choreography of omg mv😮😮
With NewJeans, you have to watch their videos, both A & B and from the very beginning to the very end. Not that the detail in the end of OMG was earth shattering, but it added another layer to the story. And Ditto side B is the second half of the entire story.

Hyein did debut very young, but she has been so talented from a young age that she could have been in a group at age 8 if they wanted to go there. She has blossomed so quickly in the two years since they debuted.
The Ditto videos always make me cry, and OMG is a powerful message as well that really hit me right in the feels. NewJeans are amazing, you should watch part B and defiantly check out Cool With You A and B! Thanks for the fun reaction

@@HallyuWithMe cool with you is a deep one as well... although if you know some greek mythology its actually A LOT easier to decipher than ditto, omg or eta.. and even if you dont its a lot easier to explain as well which im sure we will do for you if you have questions :)
The opening iphone monologue, people who know say Hanni was speaking Korean in the cutest Australian accent. When Hanni first became an idol trainee she only knew one word of Korean.

if you noticed she was actually painting minjis nail in her imagination.. but the reveal is she was actually painting her own nail imagining she was painting minjis.... you really needed to do side b to get the full story of her moving on with her life and accepting she needs to leave her imaginary world in order to do so... the boy represents her way out of moving on so in the end she gets with the boy.. but later on in her she slips back into her depression and her imaginary world.... you really did miss a lot by not watching side b :( Also the cat in ditto walking up to haerin and haerin saying ''im not a cat'' is forshadowing how the idols are perceived in omg... in omg her story is she thinks shes a cat because the fans (and even her own members) are constantly telling her she looks and acts like one.... also hanni being the iphone and asking for heesoo to answer her would have made sense if you watched ditto side b where after heesoo comes to her realisation and leaves her imaginary world you see a phone ringing in heesoos room with heesoo crying and ignoring it.. almost like hanni iphone is trying to make sure shes ok or trying to bring her back into their world..

Also... i'm not sure how much you know about them but i would reccomend 'an (un)helpful guide to newjeans 2024 version' its a fun and informative introduction to them.. also helps to understand why some of them are what they are in 'omg' because of their personalities in real life

19:09 NOOOO why would you cut off the last scene of OMG MV?? 😭There was more after the credit. That was one of the best part of the entire MV! It was a subtle jab at all the haters and keyboard warriors who hate on them and I love how smartly they indicated that they "need help" lol. Wait till the video gets over if it is a New Jeans MV cos they always add something towards the end.

감독의 의도:
우리가 어린 시절 좋아했던 가수를
나이가 들게되면 잊고 떠나게 된다.
하지만 그 추억들이 꼭 헛된 것만은 아니다.
그 노래와 아이돌과의 추억들은 다시 그 시절로 돌아가게 만들어 준다.
영어 공부 좀 하자...
그리고 ditto의 노래제목대로 아이돌을 향한 팬의 일방적인 사랑이 아니라 아이돌도 팬을 사랑하고 이는 양방향적인 사랑이라는 의미를 담고 있어요.

hyuna had a song- i think 21, that touched on this topic a while ago. i think the attitudes around it are starting to diversify. there never used to be any space in the idol industry for idols debuting or even existing past say, 25. i do think it's a little ironic? or interesting to hit on the commentary (through these music videos) of fans re-approaching their interactions, intents, and views of idols when the company itself is debuting these idols so young. i do think it's healthy for people to remember that they are always 1 step away from idols, but i do think the other side of it is the exploitation, knowing how fans and the public are, of such young idols in the industry.
a more recent song you may be interested in checking out might be taemins guilty. it's not immediately obvious how the topics intersect or pertain to one another, but if you dig into the analysis of it, it will make more sense. it's also just a beautiful song and poignant performance in general. thanks for the reaction ! i don't even know how i got here, as i wasn't looking up newjeans reactions 😂
