OMG! HOW any people do this soaking business, specially NUTS!. Thank you very much for the comprehensible video. Why naturopaths don't inform patients about this.
I'm soaking walnuts, pecans, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds in distilled water with a generous splash of cyder vinegar and a tablespoon of salt. After watching this I think I need to leave out of the fridge to germinate. I'm going to make healthier chocolate bars (organic cocoa butter and powder) and sweeten with maple syrup. I'm just going to do it by eye. I was a chef for 25 years, so I think it'll work.
i thought. phytic. acid was a molecule that plants used to hold minerals so when u consume it they also start attaching minerals of the other food thats in ur stomach like fruit and veggies, so alot of minerals and vit's are lot without people knowing it, it's good to see this info is spreading. Alooot of people never heard about it when i tell em about it. It"s also bad for ur bones to consume diary cuz the phosphor/calcium balance isn't correct (in spinach and brocolli it always is). Iv'e read about it in a book about tooth decay years ago. 2 much phytic acid and sugar are big causes. Grains also contain loads of this stuff so that i just avoid. To speed up the proces of breaking it down it helps to add something acidic in the water like lemon juice or vinegar (thats why SOURdough bread contains hardly any phytic acid, the dough is left to rest longer to break the PA down, its all about activating phytase which breaks it down. Roasting nuts also decreases the phytic acid so i soak and roast afterwards. There are lists only of the amounts of PA in specific foods and how long u need to soak. A good trick to get alot of nutrients is to eat 1 meal a day which contains alot of vits and minerals but absolutely nothing with PA in it (almost all complex carbs contain it)
@inphinite zero I like what you said, but it's just the opposite with the PA. PA is actually protection for the plant itself to keep predators off them. Like animals, plants don't want to be eaten so PA is their defense, and it blocks our enzymes and causes leaky gut. One other thing to be cautious of is that spinach is not a really healthy food due to its high levels of acid. Do your research. Just like carrots are mostly starch. All the foods have been turned into starch due to hybridization and genetic engineering. The veggies are so starchy that you never need to eat another piece of bread in any form. Grapes with no seeds is forced on us as a healthy food but they have no nutritional value because the seed is gone. You are on the right path. This video helped me get better digestion. Thanks for sharing your information as well. Great job.
Except spinach has a high amount of self-defence chemicals (Oxalates) which generally cause you not to thrive and are terrible if you suffer from Gout. So much to learn no wonder everyone isn’t well.
Now i knew the reason. Thanks 🙏 Edit: Subscribing to your channel for the helpful information you provided with reason. I think every dry things should also be soaked before cooking, which will give a life force to it, thus to us.
I have been suffering from bone density loss especially in my teeth and I was eating nuts and seeds EVERYDAY. I love hemp seeds especially! I needed to see this! Thank u!!
@@vikramchoudhary5938 I was NOT SOAKING and because I wasn't, I had bone density loss. I haven't been eating many nuts or seeds lately. Mainly green veggies and fruit now. My teeth are much better now. I also add about three tablespoon of organic ghee to my veggies
@@itsjustme5620 ghee help nutrient absorption and you don’t need a lot of nuts and seeds. I find that when I don’t soak them they pass whole. That means I absorbed none of it so if that’s what I ate that day I might as well have not eaten
@@deestrings8552 Yes. Seeds and nuts are meant to bind to minerals so the seed can grow. And that's exactly what they do when they're inside the body. I am making my way towards having multiple green juices everyday to replenish my minerals

@Luke. Very important information. We knew that we need to soak nuts. But never understood 'why' Rice. (And lentils) Do we need to soak it for 7/8 hours. I assume 'yes'.
Look at Dr. Berg video on GERD/heartburn.. you need more scids in your stomach to reverse it.. I've been taking betaine hydrochloride and apple cider vinegar tablets before meals which have helped increase my acidic levels in the stomach n haven't had heartburn since, Dr. Berg explains it all
If I buy a big pack of walnuts for example, we don't soak them all right? only what il consume the next day? cuz cant have wet nuts sitting for extended periods I assume. Also never thought about grains but I have oats every day too.. the instant kind. How to soak them
Thanks, very informative and well explained. I still have question - should the water after soaking be thrown away? Conflicting information on google regarding using or throw away the water.
Why is that- the Red Squirrel, the Gray Squirrel, the Southern Flying Squirrel, the Least Chipmunk they’re all eating varieties of nuts without water in Autumn and they are all healthy, they are certainly very beautiful.
What is the longest you can soak seeds, legumes, nuts for without them going bad. And does soaking make them lose some of their nutrients into the water?
You say that the nuts contain toxins to help them for their survival. So soaking them would help them to germinate. But what happens to the toxins already present in them? will it get absorbed by the water used to soak the nuts? Have you checked whether the nuts become toxin free after soaking them a few hours in water?
Does soaking overnight make Brazilian nuts soft? I want to mix Brazilian nuts with Cottage Cheese but my nut grinder just broke. Which turns out to be good thing, otherwise I wouldn't get to know why soaking is necessary.
I think the flatulence is because the digestion process . I started to blanch for 5 minutes in boiling water in big mason jar with mason jar screen lid . Drain and blend for 30 to 60 seconds and drink warm . Haven’t had the usual extreme gas pain as had before .
Best explanation I've heard. Researched so much and no one has explained it like this. Thank you!!

Yes u need to throw them or u could throw water into plants
We are told to soak resin overnight and eat the resin and drink the water also. Your opinion please.
Grinding before soaking is even more beneficial. Its easy to look all this up if
You need to fact check
How about roasted nuts can b consumed as such like in trail mix.

I think its the same as why cow can get healthy only consuming grass....they have different digestive system.
