Congrates to US as they are the current best Concacaf team with the players they have of this generation. Mexico is a shadow by itself and thanks to Ochea, 38 years old (still qualified to play as No. 1) whom saved many but this paint a picture how poor or lack of in depth Mexico team is today. Remember those days with fearful strikers leading like Luis Hernandez, Blanchland, Villa, Campos n later gen of Marquez, J. Hernandez, Guardado, Aquino, Vela, hard battling midfielder Herrera.
As a mexican, it angers me when mexican commnetators or journalist and say "ochoa is our indisputable goaly" base on what facts on what he did on 2014 world CUP vs Brasil that was 10 Years ago. dude has no reaction anymore. He needs to retire already. But i'm happy for usa congrats on the win, the team they have is rally good.

Simply put, Mexico is not at the level of the U.S. anymore. The U.S. has surpassed them by far. The U.S. after missing out on the 2018 Fifa World Cup, knew they had to do drastic changes, and they have done so, and it has paid off. Mexico, on the other hand are still content with calling up 38 year old Ochoa and guys that are in their 30s well past their playing days. They want to sell their players expensively to European clubs that may be interested when the majority of them are not worth what they are asking for. Hence why European Clubs look for guys in the MLS and South American teams that are cheaper, and they mold them. Said guys gain football experience at the highest level and contribute to their national teams when called up. 21 of the 23 players the U.S. team called up to play in this Nations League play in Europe, only 2 guys play in the MLS. The Mexican team on the other hand, a good 75% of them were from their local Liga MX league.

Berhalter is getting results and that's what really matters. Ask any company and they'll tell you that getting results or the job done is what matters. Berhalter took over a squad that couldn't qualify for the world cup and very inexperienced and young players with no direction whatsoever.

Don't forget, USA was the only concacaf nation to reach the knocked out stages at the world cup despite being the 2nd youngest squad at the tournament. That is very impressive compare to the young squad that the US sent at the world cup 1990.

In the first goal... What kind of defense does Mexico play!!!?? four defenders, the midfielders dropped back... they sacrifice the mid field? It's insane to watch... Adams had an open range and time for days...
The US had been sending in a lot of crosses and had flooded the area with players on that play, pulling back the defenders and defensive midfielders. Plus, no one expected Adams to shoot from there as he rarely does.
