I don't know what impresses me more, the fact he can build three of these, get them running, and record a video of them in 1 month, or the fact he's been doing this for over 10 years at this point. honestly this guy has advanced to levels where rocket science is just a hobby and it's amazing.

I first saw him at a gathering for a DIY Turbo-Turbine group in Bend Oregon in the mid 90's... he was the "Pulse Jet guy" and really knew his stuff. I was fiddling with turbos and burner cans with most of the others, but Rob was always animate about his pulse-jet motors.. which are extremely loud BTW.
The fact he grew the facial hair over the last four years and went from 55-80 years old in appearance but has the spirit of a child makes him officially an Internet legend for life
This guy really does make the best video's for this kind of thing. You can tell he just loves this kind of crazy thing. I can't believe he doesn't use ear protection though. It's impossible to get high volume across on video fully, but how quiet his voice was just after the engine shut off gives some good perspective! What a great way to keep warm in -11°C.

Do what makes YOU happy as individuals. This man shows his happiness through his pure expressions on his face.
