As a wetherspoons mystery diner I've had a few curries. The only negatives with their curry can be soggy poppadoms or under cooked rice. It arrived in 5 minutes as that's what it takes to microwave it!

For a grabbing some food and a drink Weatherspoons is countrywide and decent prices. My ex works away and always tries to get digs near a Spoons cheaper and more choice than just a random takeaway. Great show Deano

Can’t go wrong with a Wetherspoons. I’d always seek one out when I used to follow the football in different towns and cities. Decent grub at a decent price. Made we want to get one now 😂

Would never go out for dinner and order a micro meal. That's exactly what spoons curry club is -- micro rice, micro curry, with supermarket poppadoms and naan bread.
The fish and chips are nice at weatherspoons
Nowt wrong with a pub meal like this,had a chicken Madras meal deal in spoons last week and was fabulous. Under a tenner including drink...and a few more drinks afterwards,so much cheaper for wines and beers. Top drawer!
I live in Cleckheaton and I do like a spoons meal myself...usually I have a large mixed grill

Ventured into the Wetherspoon curry menu for the first time at my local only last week.
Yep, I went for the Chicken Tikka Masala too but I did upgrade the naan. 😁
After having that curry I think I will be trying others in the near future.
Spent a lot of time in Cleckheaton when I was younger, never been to the spoons though!
Have you tried the picture house in morley, its an old cinema, and the new one in cross gates is a nice 1?

That all looked sooooo good , That naan lol perfect for me , I'm a fat git though , so would of had to had a pudding too as it looked a bit small .

If it were a microwave curry, why bother to go the extra mile to heat up the balti dish to serve it in. Much easier to serve it straight onto the plate.
Deano your comments about the value for money aspect is very true, a good quantity of chicken rice and naan plus poppadoms. It would have been brilliant has they told there were asian condiments available, but they didn't.
Great video, so pleased that you were left to carry on filming, some proprietors would have asked you to stop, as you are on private property.

You need to be hungry and if you order the hottest one prepared for the HEAT!....very filling though and i spread the bottle of Mango Chutney over the Naan bread.i do not go for the mild currys, my fav is the madras😊

I had one earlier this evening 4.4.2024 at Wetherspoons in Lichfield.
Chicken Korma Rice Naan Bread and a Guinness.
The Korma was barely warm, a pitiful amount of rice, and a Naan Bread that didn't taste that good. After ten minutes the Naan went quite hard, although it was eatable.
I presumed it had been microwaved
I left my plate on the corner of my table waiting for someone to collect my plate. I wás then going to tell them I had not enjoyed the meal. I waited.
After about twenty minutes I got up to get another Guinness.
It was then that my plate was collected. I told the waitress in no uncertain terms that it was horrible., she looked at my plate. It had no leftovers.
I did about five minutes later apologise to the waitress for the words that I had used.
Ok. This has nothing to do with the waitress. And I do genuinely feel bad for voicing my discontent at the girl.
But I will never have another curry at Spoons again.
The best bit was the Guinness.
Standards have definitely dropped at Spoons.

Sorry to say this, Deano but you are so easily pleased, the perfect Wetherspoon customer, It looked what it was a collection of curry items put together, the only item that looked decent was the curry itself, the rice looked meagre and lumpy the nan was skinny and tasteless looking and the popadoms without accompaniment was ridiculous even the chutneys were available elsewhere, it should come with not as an extra find. I started off with the thoughts of giving this a 6 but as I put this together it has gone down to a 4. Did the server not tell you the chutneys were on the condiments station?
