But what if I keep improving this post and make it 100% original. Will google rank it then? I am asking this because when they would have 1st found this post is duplicate, would they have then marked my content of less value, even if I updated it in future!!!

I'd use AI to get ideas for content/get facts and stats, and update it to add flair and make it original :)
