I recommend this bike several times a year.
I'm on an Africa Twin nowadays but stare at every KLR I walk by
It’s a fun bike. I had the African twin. It’s a sweet bike as well. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you ah e a blessed week.
Dale.
I have a 2022 KLR 650 Adventure ABS and love it! I switched out the Doohickey and installed the ThermoBob. The bike has plenty of power for me. I live by St. Louis, MO and would like to bike camp with others, who would be interested
Congrats on your new bike my friend. I believe we have some folks in our group ON FB that live near you as far as finding some folks to ride with you and do some Moto camping with, if you get board, go over there and make a post, someone will chime in, its almost Moto camping season again. Again, congrats and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week.

My klr 650 abs base bike is my first bike and has not let me down yet! It’s been a great back up vehicle, great for commuting, great for exploring gravel roads and playing on HOV. It amazes me at what it happily rolls up and over off road!
I so agree, it is greta bike and I love mine as well. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment and sharing your story about yours with us. I hope you can get out ride this weekend.
Have a blessed weekend
Dale
Make sure the rear suspension linkage bearings are greased and torqued to spec… then get F & R suspension set up properly for your riding weight, style and abilities! ( this goes for every bike )
Thank you for great review . As a KLR 650 ,22 owner , happy to get help and suggestion from fellow rider .
Thank you for the kind words my friend. It is truly appreciated. I hope you have a blessed weekend and can find some time to go ride soon. I am ready for spring time weather.
Thank you
Dale
Cool video, nice upgrades. Nice bike. Cheers.
Thank you so very much for the kind words my friend. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week.

Just got approved today for a ‘23 adventure model. Your video helped make my decision, and I’m gunna pull the trigger on it. I already ride a ‘05 klr, but it’s a little dated, but still beautiful, and I’m looking forward to my first ever new anything ,…. I’m so stoked to upgrade….. I won’t sell the old one tho, too many memories and the carburetor aspect might be useful when the zombies come. Thanks mang 😊
Oh man, that is so awesome and I am so so excited for you. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video and share this great news with us. I am so stoked. Be sure to keep us posted on how well you love it. I hope it is everything you need it to be, I am sure it will be. I love love love mine. Thanks again for sharing the great news and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Dale
Hey Dale seen all your videos liked them all, I finally pulled the trigger yesterday I traded my old Harley for a Klr650s and 2000.00 now have 34miles, been 64 years old I still love riding on the back dirt roads which I didn't do on my Harley
Thanks you for taking the time to share this with us. Congrats on your new bike and I am so glad you are going to be able to go hit up some of the old back roads, to me that is what this bike is all about. No sense in being in a hurry we had to do that our whole lives, now just kick back and relax and take the time to see the scenery. thanks again, and congrats, I hope you love your new bike as much as we love ours. thanks aging and have a blessed weekend.
dale
Hello Johnny how are you doing 😊
I just got a 2023 KLR650s. So far the bike is amazing - fits me perfectly. Can't wait to go up in the woods with it, there are thousands of miles of logging roads in the Northwest just waiting to explore!
Oh man, congrats and welcome to the family. I believe you will love it as much as I love mine. It. is the best all around bike I have ever owned. I wish I had the miles of logging roads near me like you do, but I do have some awesome back roads and I love to take those trips to nowhere, and find things, I know most people will never ever see unless they actually live there or grew up there. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week my freind.

I bought the S model around Christmas. I’ve always wanted a KLR but it was too tall for me. Not anymore! I’m having a blast on it. Thanks for the review!
That makes my heart happy to hear. What a great way to wake up this morning so thank you so much for sharing, I so agree, the S is opening up the doors for so many more riders and I am glad you are one of them. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week.

On any ride, focus on the journey more than the destination. That will help you enjoy the whole trip in general. BUT, I also understand that if you HAVE to be somewhere. TIME It accordingly. I'm a new owner of a '24 KLR650 Adventure model. I wont ever try to go over 70 on it unless I have to pass. At least that what is what I will TRY to do.
Amen. I so agree. Well said and thank you.
Hi Dale, I echo your sentiments.
The Gen 3 is economical, comfortable and very versatile… but more than that- it has soul.
I’m going to try and be the first person to get one to 100,000 km 🤩
I love it my friend. That is an awesome goal. I want to also say thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, it truly helps our little channel out more than I can say, so thank you for that as well. Keep us posted on your travels and have fun my friend. I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Dale
Another great video, loving my 2023 KLR Adventure!!!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I hope you have a blessed weekend my friend.
Dale.
The New Klr and the previous gen's are phenomenal bikes. Other than blasting down the interstate, they are almost the perfect bike, especially for what you can get them for. Picked my 2022 w/70 miles, still had the new smell and looked perfect, for a little over 5k. The suspension for my weight (140), is execellent. Great bike and great video!
I so agree with everything you said. They are awesome bikes and if a guy takes care of them, they will outlast most riders abilities and time. Thank you and have a blessed weekend.
Dale
I just bought a 2023 KLR 650S & absolutely love it. Love your videos! Have a fun day!😎
Thank you so much my friend. I appreciate you and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Congrats on the new book and keep us posted on your adventures.

Hello Dale, I just subscribed. I'm thinking about the KLR as my next bike. At the moment, I ride a 2013 victory cross country tour with a little over 107000 miles. I need a new bike to get me into my retirement years , I'm watched a lot of videos on the KLR650, and that's a bike. I'm thinking about test riding. I weigh right at 207 pounds. I'm hearing that I should handle that weight without any issues. Enjoy the video, keep them coming.
Let me start with saying welcome to the channel my are friend. I will say this, we are very close on weight, I am normally between 190-210 pending the season and how much I have been able to get out and work or play. I have done nothing to my suspension other than adjust the rear preload for the bike me and some gear. It is working fine for me. If a person was wanting to do a lot of harder trails and or whoops, you would want a spring upgrade with is fairly inexpensive. My best advice would be, ride it for a while and see if you think it needs more adjusting than it comes from the factory. Again, since I am mostly riding laid back old back roads dirt roads, and come gravel, I have not and do not plan to do anything other than keep the stock suspension. I know in the older KLRs the spring rates were just way too soft for an average sized guy and they had to be replaced, I replaced them on the gen 2. But this is so much better from the factory than in years past. I hope this helps and If I can answer anything else., Please feel free to reach out.
Have a blessed weekend and keep us posted on what you decide.
dale
Rode a DRZ in Hokkaido and did the same kind of exploration you do. Just moved to the US and looking at grabbing a KLR here. Thanks for all the info! Subscribed.
Welcome to the US my friend and If we can help answer any questions about the KLR or help in any way, reach out and let us know. I appreciate the kind words and welcome to the channel. We have some fun stuff planned this year, it's going to be another fun year of travels and adventures. Thanks again and have a blessed week.
Dale
I use to do Adventure travel and camping on a 1999 BMW F650 Funduro. Did half the Trans America trail on it back in 2004. Then I got a F800GS then a R1200RT both too big really. Ready to get back to a smaller ADV bike and don't want the complexity or maintenance associated with a high performance bike. So I have been looking very seriously at the KLR. It is the closest thing currently made I can find to a first generation R80GS. Been researching bikes for 6 months or more and keep coming back to the KLR.
It sound like we have a lot in common. I did have the larger Africa Twin in the past , a good friend well, a couple of good friends had the larger adventure BMW and both offered to let me ride them. I was like, nope, I can't afford it and I don't want to want one hahaha. I know those are nice bikes and like you say this bike, is so much more old school technology and to be honest, the simplicity of it is a lot of the attraction to it for me as well. I would love to hear what you end up deciding on, so if you don't mind come back after you get yours and keep us posted on what you got. The biggest deal, like I say a lot, it don't matter what your on, get out and ride and have fun, start making more adventures happen and this bike for me, just happens to fit the bill. I hope you have a blessed weekend and if I can ever help answer any specific questions you may have, feel free to reach out and I will do my best to help answer it for you.
Have a blessed weekend.

@@Heartlanddualsport Thanks for the quick reply. Right now I have narrowed it down to 2 options:
Option 1 - I have a Honda CRF250 Rally free and clear. Keep it and buy the KLR as my mule for long trips. I'm starting to lean this way like you stated I don't need the high speed anymore.
Option 2 - Buy a Yamaha T7 as there are actually a few in this area that just came into the dealers. The problem here is I would sell the 250 Rally to help with the purchase. I'm afraid I would miss it too much.
Have been a BMW fanboy from 1987 but they left behind those of us that bought Airheads due to the simplicity and capability - nothing in their line up now even remotely like the old 450 lbs. R80GS anymore. Could buy another F800GS pretty reliable bike but the used prices on those have gotten crazy. I'm seeing $9,000 to $11,000 on non-abused one. They get pretty vibey above about 75 mph.
@@jaygrafton3048 I Completely understand, the 250 is a great trail bike and like me, you will probably miss it. I purchased the 450 rl last year and to be honest, still kicking myself for not just buying the 250 or 300, I don't need the kind of power and speed for a trail, in fact I am still limping from a incident last fall hahaha. I know, I am not 20 anymore. hahah. Yes sir, the KLR will have some vibe at speeds over 60-65, in fact I ride the back roads just to keep away from those speeds, and it sounds like you are are already familiar with it. The T7 is a great bike as well and to be honest, I would have been better off buying it than the 450rl, but I wanted a trail bike. I am certain, that bike won't be in the stable past summer this year. hahah. Keep us posted my friend, you have two great options and I know the cost of selling one to get another one and that makes the call harder sometimes.
Dale
Nunchucks, brace and auger x2, leather KLR farkles? Perfect! My KLR became a V-strom650 became a SuperTenere. Thinking about another KLR.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment as well as sub my friend. It truly helps the little channel out. If I can help answer any questions you may have about the KLR holler and I will do what I can to help. I love mine, and I know this bike is not for everyone, but it is a great bike for me. I hope you have a blessed week and again, thanks for the comment and sub, it helps our little channel out more than I can say.
Dale
I have a Versys 650 but I’m really wanting to test a KLR. I’m fairly new but I know I want to spend a lot of time off road. Thank you for your honest and balanced review.
How difficult of roads, off road are you talking about doing. This is a great bike for the double track. If you want to do a lot of off road steep single track, this bike will be a challenge. The weight of the bike makes it great for riding in the wind etc. It would be wide a feel really heavy on extreme off road. I only mention this since you said off road. Off road to one person may be different than another. Back roads, old double tracks and logging roads, this bike will be a dream for you. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Dale
I’ve been looking at KLRs since 2008. ABS got me close to getting one when it became an option, but the height kept putting me off. My legs are long enough to ride anything, even if it means being on tiptoe on one foot; but it’s more about ease of use, feet-down handling, and risk mitigation on uneven ground for me. I don’t ride places where clearance would be an issue. The S version is just what I needed; sat on one last weekend. I wish they’d had the S option years ago. Hope to be adding an S to the fleet in the next year or so.
I so agree, the S middle will open the doors to so many more folks and Like you , I wish they had made it come out several years back. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and Keep us posted on what you end up getting. I love mine and I know the s will be loved by so many more people in the future. For that matter, I would not mind an s version either. be nice In a lot of ways. Tanks again and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

My name is Scott, this my second video, loved the 7000 mile review also and I like your shirt! I appreciate your stand for God,we need much more of that in our world today! Riding a motorcycle through GOD'S wonderful creation and having a personal relationship with Him are two of the best things in life!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I appreciate you noticing as well my friend. I spend as much time as I can out in nature, it is where I feel the most peace. I am also a fisherman and old school stick bow hunter. I love to be out in the woods as the woods start to wake up, nothing says the beauty of GOD to me more than that type of studs. Thank you so much my friend and I truly hope you have a blessed weekend

Picked up a new 2023 KLR s ! I’m 5’10” it’s perfect for me !
Congrats to you my friend. That is exciting news. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch, comment and share your story with us. I truly appreciate it. It also helps our little channel more than I can express, so thank you so much . I hope you have a blessed week and stay in touch and keep us posted on your adventures my friend.

Thanks brother, I like the way you present and articulate your experience and information. Subscribed... 👍
***I bought a slightly used 2022 Traveler ABS today and I really enjoyed my first ride!
***I was especially impressed with how it rides and handles on the back country paved roads that are all around me. It soaks up bumps and corners much better than I was expecting and I'm also not used to any type of wind protection. I'm used to an open and heavy 03 Honda VTX1800C with cut down rear shocks that also makes me feel a bit trapped and locked into the seating position. 😆 I'm excited about the options and versatility this bike offers me for sure. To me, the KLR feels really "light" for it's size on the road. I'm interested in learning more from you and others about my new bike. Eric
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story with us, and I say us, because you would not believe how many folks will read through the comments and answer and participate along with others on here as well, makes it kinda fun. Thank you for the sub as well, it truly helps. Thank you, I have some fun projects planned for this summer, I normally take a long vacation trip or two, this year will be a little different, and I go over it in the video that will post in the morning, I try to upload one a week on Thursday mornings, if I am running late, Friday at the latest. hahah. Life I tell ya, but right now we are still on schedule for the morning. If I can help answer anything in the future, feel free to reach out and I hope you have a blessed week.

My first bike was a 23 KLR adv W/ abs I hit 7800 miles in 4 months and got tboned. I love the bike, the only issues I found was the steering would stick and randomly would shut off at red lights. It’s a 7/10 bike it’s gonna get the job done perfectly but ugly is what i deduct from other videos.. I only added a quad lock system. Never had a top box. But I built a system for Milwaukee packout crate.. I love the seat but it’s not comfortable.. great first time bike. I’m getting another.. but tusk beats the luggage system. Can’t swap tusk boxes for the Kawasaki boxes.. but if they did that would be the best.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to share this information with us all. It truly helps our other viewers and we always love to hear the feedback as well. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment as it helps our little channel out as well,
Thank you and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Dale
The sticking in the steering is over tightening of the steering head bearing. A lot of KLRs came like this from the factory. Loosen off the steering head bearing pressure about one quarter turn and test or get new steering head bearings fitted. The steering locking especially under brakes can be dangerous.
@@dalaipanda4688 oh I know, the day I got hit was the day before it was going to into the shop for that, and for the fuel pump.
I ride at 75 all day, no issues. I do have tires that are 60/40 though and 16 tooth sprocket.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and share this with us. I look forward to hearing more of your adventures. Have a blessed weekend my friend.

The 23 luggage is good. I bashed my shin a couple times doing cowboy dismounts; you can’t just casually sling a leg over, but instead need to be sure to extend it up and around.
Makes sense, thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us all. I hope you have a blessed weekend.

I appreciate these videos. I’m going to try to buy the 2023 KLR adventure model this weekend
Congrats my friend. I am excited for you and please come back and keep us posted. I always love seeing folks get their new bike home. Fun times I tell ya. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week

Cool vid! I bought the s model in May and am loving it!
Oh thank you so much for the kind words. I think the S model is awesome, they should have come out with that a long time ago, either way I am glad they did. Congrats on your new bike and welcome to the family. I hope to hear back from you. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment as it truly helps our little channel out. Thank you again, welcome to the family and have a blessed weekend.

Hi Dale, just discovered your channel today and have watched this video and one from a year ago. I look forward to watching all of your videos, but it will take me a little time to catch up.
I've been doing a lot of 'research' the last couple of years because I want to purchase the right bike for my intentions and budget, and I don't want to have major regrets. I'm in my late 50s, and I haven't owned a bike in over 20 years, but a few years ago I took the motorcycle safety course in Longview and got the endorsement on my license again.
I've been taking a long time to decide on a bike, going back and forth between the Himalayan, DR650, CRF300 Rally, KLX300, and KLR650, while wishing I had the budget to get the Ténéré 700. As someone who hasn't ridden in so long, I kept going back to the Himalayan because of its seat height and my 5' 10" stature, but I also appreciate its fuel capacity and its appearance. However, I still have reservations about its build quality and dealer availability.
So, I was quite pleased when Kawasaki introduced the 2023 KLR650s. I think having that bike as an option now makes my decision so much easier and peaceful. It just checks all of the boxes, I think. Along with others, I sort of wish Kawasaki had given the KLR a 6th gear when they brought out the Gen3, but that would have only increased the base price, and I plan to limit my interstate highway travel anyway, and use back roads to explore Texas and Arkansas.
Thanks for the content you're producing. I'm sure I'll find plenty of helpful information as I continue to watch your videos. Be safe out there this summer!
Longview, you are only a short ride from me. I am pleased to hear. you are liking the content sir. Thank you for the kind words. I truly appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. I do agree, the S is like the missing link, and I am glad they did the this year. I am in my 50;s as well as understand budgets on a fixed income retirement check from my career. I am pleased it is behind me, but I do miss making more money when I was working .hahaha, Can't have it all. So I am blessed to be where I am and thankful.. If I can ever help you in anyway feel free to reach out and meet up or whatever you may need. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment as it truly helps this little channel out, so thank you so much for that as well.
I hopp you have a blessed weekend.

@Heartlanddualsport I'm actually in Cass County, but the closest location to me where the course was offered was Longview. I subscribed earlier when I watched those two videos. I didn't click on the notification bell, but I'll take care of that now.
The tank and handlebar leather looks great, man!
Thank you so much my friend, I am happy with how they turned out and they are holding up nicely. Thank you and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

Than you so much for the kind words my friend. I hope you are dry, warm and safe. Keep up the great work and know you are in our prayers.

Great video as always Dale! I agree with everything you said. I see a lot of people selling new KLRs all modded out with low miles. They bought the wrong bike. It is great because of what it is. I'm going to check out that gps. That's my next big purchase. Which mount are you using for it? Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words. It’s a small ram mount. I can look it up and post a link when I get back home. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed weekend.
Dale.
Love my klr!
You and me both my friend. Ride on.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and have a blessed weekend.
Dale.
Man I really want to get into dual sport riding. I’ve been on the road for over a decade but it’s a 3-4 hour ride to get to any real dirt/gravel roads from where I live in the city. I don’t see myself getting rid of my BMW that I use for commuting and what not but man this would be a sweet second bike to take down to southern Ohio and West Virginia for the weekend and do some camping!
Yea sir. I understand the delima. I have had as many as 4 bike parked at my place before. I am down to two. Next year I will probably be down tot he KLR. I love love love this bike. It’s perfect for me.
I appreciate taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

hope you find a 2nd bike for the stable .
My very 1st bike almost 30 years ago was a Yamaha XT225. I've had cruisers sporthat are very heavy and now. My last bike in my fifties is AKLR650. I love it I've seen him around all the time when I heard they made them since 87. They have to be doing something right? Mine is in lava Orange.
How fun is that, thanks for taking the time to watch and share this with us all. I hope you have a blessed weekend my friend.

@@Heartlanddualsport I wish I could aside of the very cold weather, our house is on the market. My days are filled with clearing the house of kids and pets. With that said we got our first offer today so I’m one step closer to moving to Florida where I’ll be able to ride much much more. Praise the lord and his actions and bless you and your family
@@TTrident660 Congrats on the house offer. When we sold our place in OKC, I think it was on the market 4 days and got an offer. I was thinking I had a couple of months to get all my stuff loaded up and moving to Texas hahaha, I made that trip so many times, trying to move gear, tools equipment etc. The time went so quickly from thinking I had a couple of months to less than 30 days when we closed. I was so confident it would take a while, nope. hahaha, Talk about doing packing and moving in a rush, not counting we were doing a significantly reduction in square footage where we moved to. I had no place to put most of our stuff and ended up selling a lot and giving a lot of furniture aways etc. Good luck with your move, I know Florida will be an awesome move for yall. Keep in touch and keep us posted where you end up landing in Florida, I would love to ride out there and do some photos and videos of that part of the world sometime. It is on my list of things to make happen int he near future. Thanks again for all your support on our little channel, it helps us out way more than I can say, so thank you for that as well.

Have a blessed week and happy trails to you my friend.

@@Heartlanddualsport love your channel. I have a 2022 KLR (and I love it)
I'm so sick of going through back tires I'm thinking about dark siding a 17 inch mud grip like I have on my truck on the klr if I could find one skinny enough.
Ha, that is awesome. I get it Motorcycle tires are just dont have the longevity of some of the vehicle street tires. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week

6thgear and fix the oil consumption and it would be unbeatable, but not enough power.
Ha, Thanks for taking the team to watch and comment, sorry for the delay in reply I just now seen this. I hope you have a blessed week.

I've read you can change to a 16 tooth gear to make riding on the highway better. Any thoughts on that? Great videos!
That is an excellent question, I do know some have who have changed it out. I do not ride a lot of slow paced single track stuff, however, once in a while I will be on a back road slow rolling, gravel road, forrest road etc and for me the first Gert can already be kinda fast if I am trying to post wildlife, so I will leave mine the way it came from the factory if that makes sense at all, Your slow rolling first gear speed would be a little bit faster with the tooth change up front, I truly do not have an issue with my bike since I prefer to ride 65 MPH or less anyhow. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week.

I think that is wonderful that your channel is so influential to Kawasaki that they would modify the KLR.
Can you tell us which of the Kawasaki executives have reached out to you?
I'm glad you cleaned that up at the end.😂
hahah, yeah they did not call me. hahah, I am glad you have a sense of humor as well. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, it truly helps our little channel out. Thank you and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

What about the "doohickey" and spring that is supposed to wear out frequently?
I dont believe it was an issue on the last model and I dont believe it will be on this one.
That's just my two cents thought, I cracked the car e open on my 2008 and replaced it because "all the hype" I did not see 2 cents worth of difference in them and to be honest, not a thing in the world wrong with the one I took out, that bike had over 10, 000 miles on it. I am not going to worry about it. I think the hand full of failures over a 20 year period it so insignificant, its not worth the hassel in my mind. I do believe with the Gen 3 Full pump recall , it the doo-hickey was an issue, they would have done a recall many years ago, the Gen 2 had a beefier doo-hickey than the first gen and I believe that was the fix. I dont race my bike, I dont wheelie my bike, Since you asked about the spring, I do think there could be a potential problem there and If I run into that problem, I will do a video on it. The doo hickey itself, not a concern of mine. Spring, maybe, I will keep a close eye on it.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed week.

Where can I get the Matthew 5:9 t-shirt you're wearing?
My favorite t shirt store, relentlessdefender.com
If you don't mind, let them know you learned about their store from this channel. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed weekend.

If you were buying a 2023 KLR, would you still buy the Adventure model or get the Traveler and build it out?
Thnx
I would, I like the stuff it comes with and I have not been able to confirm it or not, but at one time there was a rumor the traveler and adventure model has a stiffer rear shock from the factory to account for the additional weight. Again, I heard that back in 21-or 22, but have not seen any specific specs to back it up. The other thing, with the base bike, you would buy some of the stuff, I did several different build outs on paper prior to my purchase and kept coming back to the cost effectiveness of the stuff from the factory on the bike. My only complaint when I bought mine, I truly didn't want a black bike in Texas, it is hot here and I have rode black bikes in the summer and it is not as fun as a cooler color bike, so when I bought mine, I was already planning the leather tank bra I made for it, to help cool it down. I can't say if my tank bra I made works temperature wise or not, but I like it. I hope this helps and if I can help in any way let me know my friend.
Dale
I lave my KLR. I have the base model and regret to not purchase the ABS one…rear brake is too violent for me, I do not have enough range to modulate, it’s really sensitive when you make a tight slow turn with light breaking.
Thank you for taking the time to share this. I have not heard of this. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and share your experience. I hope it works out better.
Dale.
I purchased the same bike and while I haven't had this issue at all in my 200 miles of riding on it, sounds like your brake just needs adjusting to suit how you ride. Check out the cables and maybe loosen them up just a touch or if you're not confident with doing that, bring it to a shop and mention your concerns. This is an adjustable function.
@@TheeWanderingAlaskan foot. Real has not cable and as I have JNS lowering foot peg, I do not have enough adjustments to lower it.
@@FrancoisTX1974 If you plan on keeping the bike, may be worth modifying the foot brake in some way. Cut and shorten, heat and hammer, or some other method. Hell, maybe design one and pitch the plans to a company. May be worth it as the foot shifter is trash too for most grown men with large feet such as myself. Idk. Just pitching ideas here. You do you of course.

Swing arm angle is very important for motorcycles .if your loaded up and your swingarm and is zero ,your going to have problems and not in a good way .don't be silly and cheap with your bike put the correct springs in your bike to suit the type of riding you do it's not going to cost you a lot .
True that, I agree with this is so many ways. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and share this with all of is and know it means a lot to us and the channel. Thank you again and I hope you have a blessed week.

I'd be happy to own a klr650 but only if my ctx700n dies, which probably won't happen as it's too well built! Hmmmm maybe a second bike 😋
I totally understand. I often say that pretty regular, in the end, if a guy can get out and ride some, it dont really matter what bike he Is on as long as he or she is having fun and enjoying it. I have two bikes, If I had to only pick one and it may well happen this year, I would keep the KLR, in the end its perfect for me, but I also realize it may not be perfect for everyone. I hope you have a blessed week and thank you so so much for taking the time to watch and comment.

Did I hear you correctly that the 2023 Adventure luggage rack system has been updated from the 2022 model? If so what is different?
That’s what I keep seeing pics of. It looks more like a rack that you would by second hand from a third party. So it’s a full loop off each side. Looks sweet. There are some guys who have posted pics in our group on Facebook. Gen 3 tribe is the name of the Facebook group if you do Facebook. Hope this helps. Have a blessed weekend.

@@Heartlanddualsport Thanks for the info. Now I need to find quick release plates (for soft bags) for the 2023 Adventure. Any thoughts?
@@richwestland3335 The ones I am using are the ones from 3D printed cycle parts. They are ok, and work ok. Ilike how quickly they attach and detach the most. Its a pretty good design.. Hope this helps.

@@dalefrazierphotography You have the 2023 model?

what kind of helmet is that on the bike?
The Brand is NEXX, the model has been discontinued, however, they have the newer models. They are a pretty decent helmet. I like the low profile coms unit you can purchase separately for it. If you are wondering what brand the comms us, it is manufactured by SENA for the NEXX helmets. so if your buddies you ride with have SENA, it will link easily to them and or your phone and GPS so you can get your Turn by Turn Directions in the helmet as well as weather updates and listen to your music while you ride. I hope this helps, If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out and I hope you have. blessed weekend.

mornin Dale, new subscriber here . my name is Griffin. i have a 23 adv tell me about the highway pegs on your 22 adv.
how well do they they work? TIA
Good Morning Sir, First, Welcome to the Channel, Next Congrats on your new bike. That is exciting.
The highway pegs I have on the bike are probably the cheapest ones on Amazon. I won't lie, they are a hair cheap, and as such, use a lot of lick tight on them and I put some buckle inter tube Small Piece between the place where it bolts onto the frame. Last summer I rode from Texas to the East Coast, as well as the Far north end of the US to Lake Michigan, Both trips, those long road days, I did use them some and enjoyed them for that. I will follow up and say, normal riding, I never use them, but those really long rides, they come in handy, just to move your legs around some. The are not fail proof since they will fold up out of the wya on a crash if you will so it is almost tricky when using them.. I don't ever want to get too comfortable as to start getting drowsy hahahah. They do work as a short duration ride for me. I have never had the best back in the world, so a rough road, I would not use them at all, I don't want my back being a spring board for rough roads. I hope this helps and If I can help in any other way let me know. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment and I hope you have a blessed weekend and can get out and ride some.
This is the link to the ones I have amzn.to/3lbJTCA

When it comes time try an X ring chain - noticeably lower rolling resistance than an O - ring chain.
I will have to try that, I think I may have already bought the chain though, well I know I have, I just dont know what chain it is, I need to do a video on that as well. Thank you my friend and I Hope you have a blessed week
