@@paulwilson9281 Hahahaha!! Is that a fact? I thought Daphne died and Marie was actually married with two kids until she passed away. So she must have liked males at some point. Nevertheless...I still think your comment is awesome!
It's not only even that factor but mannerisms and lifestyle at the expense of our original identity decades ago too! We can't or have muddled our original selves at the expense for globalism/world wide community ideology factors like multiculturalism or UN factors. Back then Australia was semi isolationist back then but it wouldn't last long as the early 90's rolled in.

Love Daphne's misandrist Feminist attitude - snapping poor Shane's head off. After all these years of 'equality' it's still men doing the vast majority of the dirty, dangerous jobs which keep the lights on, the food in the shops, the roads and buildings maintained, the gas flowing, the sewage pumped away... And a 95% male workplace death rate. 'Independent woman' - yeah, Daph, if men walked out of the workplace tomorrow you'd still be 'independent' - but in the dark with no food in the shops. I really do question Feminism now - which I didn't then. I mean, there were female doctors in the 1800s, so I really think it was rubbish. Over the years, the misandry became more apparent - starting with suffragettes demanding the vote without the accountabilities visited on men AND harming men without the vote by putting acid in the postal system, planting bombs and other lovely things. Since then, we've progressed through the SCUM Manifesto, the horrors experienced by Erin Pizzey in the 1970s courtesy of the Feminist movement, the Duluth Model and so on. Still, can't helping loving Daph. I adored her back in the day - when I knew a lot less about Feminists than I do now.
Yes so stunning and brave here for all the rights but zero the responsibility here as well. Feminism is a wokefest communism and the funny thing is that in real countries that have communism don't even tolerate feminism which is irony here because: 1st Wave Feminism "We want to be equal to men", 2nd Wave Feminism "We don't need men", 3rd Wave Feminism "We are men" and 4th Wave Feminism "Destroy all men" Need I go any further heh...

He really can't sing though. He had a run in the late 80's early 90's now he is nothing, he has to resort to going on stupid reality TV shows. he does theatre now and then.
I saw the thumbnail and clicked. I was recalling all the charecters names during the intro. This is my era of neighbours - it was essential viewing.
The golden era when Neighbours was the one we all watched after school. Sign of the Times seeing how it's now being axed.
I haven't watched it since I was a kid.. but I'll be sure to watch the finale
@@markmorris7123 Same here👍🏿....
@@markmorris7123 me too
It's been reinstated back for 2023
Not everyone watched it. I didn’t!
In the late 80s/early 90s neighbours was so popular in the uk with its bbc1 5.30pm slot, the programme was talked about so much at school.
and shown after the lunchtime news
Very true. It was such a big part of my childhood.
True.. it was on twice everyday.
When it used to go: ~ "This is BBC One....~ "Neighhhhbours!"....

sniper gaming I was a mum in eighties 8n my twenties
i missing those times i used to watch this with my grandma during the summer holidays at 1.35 pm.. the opening made me cry.. im 41 now😞😞
Me too! It's like memory lane
Bet mike / Guy Pearce never thought he would be come such a big and famous film star as he is now.
I don't want neighbours to finish for good as I have been watching it from the beginning
Ahh the days of being 10yrs old...and not a care in the world...Anyone got a time-machine?....
Guy Pearce wearing school uniform and now he’s 53 years old I was 8 watching this .
I always love the beginning of Classic neighbours or Eastenders and home and away on bbc and channel 7 or network ten
I like how they made Daniel and Madison recreate this scene last year in the exact same spot!
But with one slight difference
Back when Neighbours was good !
This Is My Favourite Neighbours Episode Ever. Classic. Thanks Mate. X
nice to Clive back now too him and Colette Mann are a great double act
Man...Daphne was so hot. Nobody pulled off the boyish crew cut in girls more than her and Marie Fredriksson of Roxette back in the 80's.
Marie never liked males and Daphne turned into a fat teacher.

Love scott n Charlene!
Especially the singers-to-be! Kylie debuts here.
I remember this episode so well i must have been at least 18-months old
Australia's submission to U.S. beauty standards is evident over the last 30 years
Australia seemed to have more character back then. I'm British but I can tell how Americanised the show has become these days.

I watched this from day one its funny see the brown effect like eastenders brown scenery look.
Australians are more friendly and neighbourly than in the UK they considering most Australians are originally English citizen.
omg such innocent times 😊❤
The guy in with the curly hair, reminds me of randy quaid 😅
Francis Bell aka Max Ramsay
Only just realised looking back after all these years that in the closing credits the characters were only referred to by their first names...
The episode aired in U.S. in June 1991 in L.A. on My 13 & New York on My 9.
I bet the cast will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the show! 😊
sadly it look like it might not make it to 40 unless someone else puts money into it
Oh the good old days!
I Love home and away or neighbours then Eastenders!!!
Ally Fowler, A Chantoozie @ 5:44
Des and Clive and Paul are still in it.right now.
Its cute how they recreated this for their kids!

Home and Away stopped being good in 2000 imo.
Until about the last third of the 90s.
The show lost its way. Too many selfish , flaky characters in it nowadays and the storylines are weak
I wish Daphne had appeared in Prisoner Cell Block H.
the most overated couple in tv history, I preferred mike and jane
David Mills they were better looking.
But Jane sort outgrew Mike a bit, she preferred older blokes (see the stuff with Mark Granger and Des)

She's filled out a bit for sure; it's called aging, comes to us all eventually.
So sad how people judge others by their looks, especially when they probably looks worse themselves. Very shallow.
