I just wachted a man talk about eartips for half an hour I'm to deep into this man
😅
Eartips madness
OMG...and I thought I had too many ear tips! Guess not!
I know for the fact, that it took a lot more time putting these eartips in order than the video.
Very unique and rare video 👌👏👏
I found my sweet spot with W1 and sednafit for most of my usecases except some.
It's sneaky how much time video making takes, maybe I spent 30mins organizing eartips, but recording took a few hours, and editing took several hours. Not to mention planning and researching the video 😅
@@Jaawaudio Haha, absolutely that goes without saying, I myself take around 2 to 4 weeks completing a single review.
Was just admiring the ear tip setup with a metaphor.
nice choice of IEMs! quite overlooked...
First, now give me all your unused ear tips.
Sunny DM'd me just before, they wanna chew on all my unused eartips, sorry Danny!
Would love to see all those eartips fighting each other, great video
Best guide there is! One thing missing is more details on how insertion depth affects frequency response, as this can definitely make or break an IEM for an individual. You can tame bright IEMs by using tips that allow you to insert deeper, but this also lose some bass. In my experience basically shallower insertion -> more V shape, deeper insertion -> more flat (or mid-forward). This is all on the precondition that you get perfect seal.
Great point! I didn't want to get too deep (heh) into insertion depth, because I feel the variables with personal ear canal resonance and acoustic impedance are outside the scope of this basic guide.
For me also the IEM/Earbud makes a big difference and how deep they go into your ear shape wise. For example I use L sized tips with my Airpods Pro, M sized Tips with my IE600 and SS sized tips with my Mega5est. My earcanal seems to have a weird shape :D
You made an outstanding guide that can surely help people getting into the hobby. Thanks for all the work you put into it.
Oh wow, thank you for the very kind words 😎
One of the most useful guides on the platform, great job! I have really huge and deep earholes (sounds dirty) that even Dunu S&S size L is too small for me😂 perhaps I should try the XL.. but yeah this guide helped me especially in the skin department. I noticed that Sancai Balanced eartips rough texture is quite irritating for my ears. So I think my earholes are from the dry side. Been liking the Spinfit W1 the best for now but I got to try more different ones in the future.
I appreciate the kind words 👍
Great guide. Thank you. I love the Divinus Velvet and Dunu S&S but now I'm curious about the tangzu sencai and the spin fit
TangZu Sancai! 😁 Thank you for your support!
Thank you for making the best eartip on the market, and also including full sets of both types, even with sets priced like the Xuan Nv, generous of you! Also, what is the 3rd type of Tangzu eartip you teased some months ago? 😅
@@Jaawaudio Oh it's coming we're already on testing phase on it, should be announced Q2 this year! 😁
excellent, thx
Another factor I'd like to add which is a big one for me is ear canal opening while your jaws closed. I've had trouble with IEM fitment for years at this point and I failed to nail down what's causing it till eventually it hit me. My left ear canal becomes narrower more towards the inside compared to my right. It becomes more problematic since the opening on both of my ears are about the same. I've tried to use a smaller eartip size on my left IEM, but I can't get rid of the feeling that I get a much more snug fit on my left than my right. It's a feeling I still haven't overcome, which has really made enjoying music with IEM's difficult. Perhaps custom IEM's will be able to address it. People who are able to achieve perfect seals on both ears are quite honestly lucky lol
Very nice video thanks
Excellent video! I am new to IEM’s and learned a lot from this. I just subscribed to keep learning!
Thank you very much, I am so glad to hear this was useful! 👍
Great info ! Well done ! You also played that incredible song at the beginning. I'm a new subscriber . Thank You !
Thanks for the kind words 👍
Great video very informative. Just bought my first pair of IEM the QKZ x HBB can't get a proper seal with any of the ear tips it came with,im sure this video will help in choosing the correct ear tips 👍 thanks.
I recently bought my first multidriver IEM (The FIIO FH15). Because the nozzle is wider than I'm used to I have been on quite a journey to find eartips that work with my ears. My ear canals aren't the same size on both sides and my ear canals curve upward immediatly. I have trouble finding tips that seal without the opening sitting against the side of my ear canal. I'm now using the SS spinfits W1 for my right ear and MS spinfits W1 in my left ear.
Thanks for the personal experience, do you feel there's still room for improvement from the W1, or do those give you perfect seal now?
thank you for the detailed information. .! ^_^ im new to IEM's
Nice video and very comprehensive guide! Divinus vevlet was missing from the video? It's time to collect them all!
Yeah the eartip buy list is long :D Something like 17 more types I gotta pick up ... :D
Pro tip
Thanks dad
I'm using TRN T Eartips (from TRN Conch) on my HMZero. But i flip them inside out (they became like Dunu S&S on the mouth part). It really widen the soundstage by a lot. You should try it
Interesting, I have seen people flip eartips, KZ Starline and so on, I might test some of these for fun at some point :D
@@Jaawaudio yeah i found it by accident when i try to reshape the flange that's been squeezed by flipping it inside out. Oh and thank you for the last tip that you almost forgot. I've been struggling between seal and comfort with my Rhapsody. Usually when it feels comfortable, the seal are not really good thus the bass is not full. Now it sounds and feels the best in my ear with the wide bore Sancai
I was not prepared for the tip rolling journey I was about to embark on after buying IEM's 😂 I have three pairs of IEM and I've had to invest in around £180 worth of eartips just to find ones that are right for each IEM 😢 Final Type E on my Xenns Mangird Top is the best experience I've had so far. Loved the sound of Dunu S&S but only with my mouth closed tight, as soon as I open it I loose the seal which drives me crazy. Azla are just too stiff and painful, Spinfit are somewhere in the middle
Dang, that is some serious passion for the smallest nuances, but we do what we feel is worth doing :)
@@Jaawaudio I think I must have odd shaped ear canals as it’s a fine line between a seal/no seal/painful and not
@@0Metatron oh sorry I assumed you meant just the sound. That's very unfortunate, I wonder if flatheads would be a better choice?
Lol mango dude u have them more than store :D
Haha, yeah it's becoming a serious thing, not just a hobby :D
Damn thats a crazy collection lol. I just got some Dunu S&S tips and smh wow they are trash. I thought the CP155 were awful but these are even worse. They only sound good if you push the IEM in with your fingers and hold them in but once you let go they just spring back out like a trampoline and then youre stuck with this distant flat thin treble only sound. I think I might have to cut them with scissors or something. I dont see how anyone can use these, all three sizes dont work and I usually only wear L size eartips. The best ones that always work on every IEM is the yellow ones KBEAR07 (or whatever size/color fits your ear canal), they come stock with some IEMs like the Waner.
Yea sounds like tube shaped eartips don't fit your ear canal shape
@@Jaawaudio You might be right. I didnt even know what type of eartips those were but they do have a weird shape to them. Im gonna go for the Tangzu eartips next time tho.
there are XL tips, might redeem dunu s&s for you.
Have you tried the NF Audio MS42 eartips.
These are my recommendation.
They are on my buylist, along with a dozen more eartips, all in good time, thanks for the tip!
Thank you for answering me.
This was a great video!
Dont want to bother you, but I want to ask for some advice. I own a few sets of tips, most notably the dunu s&s, sancai wides and velvets. I like both the sound and material feel of the s&s the most, however due to its shape it can hurt my ears after a while and when i scale down i just loose the seal. Have you got any recommendations for me?
You could try TRI Clarions maybe 🤔
✌
yes your truly right , i like only tips fit good like those
final audio perfect not fit all iem
elastic too similar came with seeaudio bravery
dunu tips next month i ll try it next month
velvet smooth very nice
yes moondrop ugly usless cheap i dont like it
even elastic clear one is damage
What eartips did u use for sleeping?
For me its velvet smooth😊
Sleeping, uhh, I don't sleep while wearing IEMs :D
Do I have more if I’ve thrown away more than I’ve kept? 🤔
Which eartips should i use with my Kz Castor Bass version?
Need to test how you feel about different sizes and shapes, and when you find your comfort and fit, the next step is to look for similar shapes but different bore size etc.
Eartips are far too personal, depending on your own ears, and your own experience and preference, that I could recommend any eartip, and I could be very wrong or very correct :)
where can we buy eartips in 7 sizes to get best fit ? ( like there are on expensive sony iems) thanks
Unfortunately most eartips only come in Small Medium Large, some like Final TypeE come in 5 sizes, having ExtraSmall and ExtraLarge. Only very few come in 6-7 sizes. For example Hifigo store has Azla SednaEarfit Series eartips, that come in 6 sizes, SS, S, MS, M, ML, L. Currently Hifigo and Linsoul are the only stores I buy from, all my eartips are from them.
I'm still struggling with eartips. The best experience I have so far is the Spinfit CP100+ extra small (XS) size. I haven't tried many of course. I've had Divinity Velvet, Spring Tips Moondrop, and KZ tips.
Something about my right ear is weird/different. When it sealed perfectly, the sound entirely disappears as if there's no room for the air to resonate the sound. So I push in deeper and that somehow solves the problem (but it does get a bit uncomfortable. But that means I have to push it deep. At times, when I move it goes back to losing sound entirely. I don't know why that is to be honest. It's like there's a wall inside my ears that when I insert IEM, it gets stuck there. But when I push deeper, it gets over the wall and it sounds good.
Any suggestion what eartips might fit in this case? (And this only happens in one ear. My left ear is just fine).
I'm sorry I have no idea, sounds like should have someone look into your ears, maybe even an ear doctor.
Hey @Jaawaudio what eartips would u recommend for Thieaudio Hype 4's?
Eartips are too personal to give a direct recommendation, I can only say that Tangzu Sancai Balanced and Dunu S&S work for me on almost all IEMs.
@@Jaawaudio Okie thank you for recommendations
Right on time i found out your channel brother done subscribe.i have an issue where the eartips always stuck in my ear holes whenever i pull them out.after i double check i found out the eartips stem is loose not suitable for my tanchjim oxygen and i usually use L size eartips.could you recommend any L size eartips that fits my tanchjim oxygen nozzle?i prefer bass sound eartips.
I can't unfortunately, I have M size ears and I also don't own the Oxygen 😢
@@Jaawaudio you disappointing me
@@Oriolus1 that is better than giving you a blind rec for eartips, I would disappoint myself
Delulu Allie: I can't buy anymore eartips, I spent too much
Delulu Jaawa: Just buy
*Few moment later*
*Brought tons of eartips*
Both: Fuck why did I spent so much on eartips
Both again: delulu time 🤧
No such thing as too many eartips, delulu go brrrrrr
Have you tried Moondrop Spring Tips?
Yeah, I show and mention them also in the video, how delicate they are, and how careful one has to be when putting them on large nozzles :)
Can you recommend eartips for zero red.i just bought one of W1 today is that ok for female voice music type 😂
TRI Clarions, for my ear by far the best on it.
@@Jaawaudio Thank bro. I will buy TRI Clarion M,S to try 😄🙏🏻
Can you recommend some wide or meduim bore eartips for my moondrop Katos as a replacement for my dying spring tips.
You can try Tangzu Sancai Balanced and Wide Bore, but eartips are super personal, I can't guarantee anything :)
dat earussy 😩
😅
wow all that tips what you do all of them ? man too many i dont like to try takes time also i dont like cheap silicon 😂😂 any way how long takes you too collect all , i like silicon elastic clear but i dont like foam too big for my ear canal make it feel pain
I have a lot of everything, need to test a lot of things compared to a lot of things, this isn't even half 🤣
With all of those ear tips...I hope you do not own a cat.
