Proud Callaway owner here (Tahoe Sc560. )Had the chance to see this truck in person..its insane. However, the best part of Callaway is their people. They take amazing care of their customers.
For what they charge they should tbh
I never understood that comment. "For what they charge" I priced out doing all of this on my own and it was the same money but with a voided warranty and without anyone to back me up if there are issues. So the "for what they charge" argument really isn't valid. You will spend just as much doing it yourself and void the warranty....this was much smarter.
They both look nice but that Silverado is a Killer.
As a proud owner of one of the few Rocky ridge Sc560 Special Editions(1 of 100 factory lifted silverados).. I can say I 100% agree!
@@Jon626
Priced out equally to what Callaway charges? What exactly did you price out? It costs roughly 10k to add a supercharger and that's if you buy an expensive kit and pay someone to do it. It can be done for less depending on sales deals. I got a 50 state legal kit 2.9L whipple for $5,800.00 out the door during last year's black friday sale.
If you pay a Motorsports shop to strengthen internals and upgrade the fuel system for more boost it's another 4k-5k depending on your upgrades and labor. If you do a little homework and bring in your own parts the price drops significantly because all shops markup the upgrades so high. You'll pay more than 25% above retail cost.
If you walk in with your own GPI piston/pushrods kit ($1700.00) or GPI kit+LT4 injectors/Armageddon in tank fuel pump (another $1500.00) and you'll save so much money. Round up to $3500.00 for both. I'd say the stock fuel system on a 6.2 is ok to a point, but the 5.3 would definitely need fuel system upgrades if you ever plan to increase boost.
So about 12k-15k out the door for a supercharger and forged internals with an upgraded fuel system. Around 10k if you do the work yourself and shop for deals.
It's a far cry from what Callaway [edit] charges*.
Nice review keep up the good work
As soon as I saw the specs I knew that the Silverado would win. Even the Ram
has 100 more horsepower, the Silverado is much lighter. Weight saving equals adding horsepower.
But ram is comfortable and have much "future" in it
Power to weight ratio
The ram has roughly the exact same horsepower as the Chevy, the "750" is crank horsepower on the ram, the Chevy is 602 at the tires, meaning they're basically the same.
Sick video. Sick comparisons! Cheers CT.
TY, we plan to do more of this style of video moving forward!

Ok... now do a 4in lift and all terrain tires, not street tires so its a fair competition
@@saltyfloridaman7163 :Really! I don't remember them saying it Was in 2wd. Stop crying, lift it and put bigger tires on it like the TRX and see how much it LAGS BEHIND!!! Besides, Government Motors didn't build it, unreliable Callaway did! LOL
@@saltyfloridaman7163 :By the way, they are BOTH 4x4's!!!
@@saltyfloridaman7163 don’t think that was his point.
The bigger, heavier the wheel/tire package, the worse performance.
I can’t wait to see someone put small street tires on a TRX. Bet it shaves a few tics off 0-60.
I suspect you already knew that and are just being difficult haha.

@@glennfalzo3718 saltyyyyyy
You know the TRX is a beast when everything is now compared to it. Even when the comparison touches only on one specific area.
Great race try it in the desert lol
does the 2022 Silverado ZR2 coming out have beefed up 6.2? could be interesting!
Way to go Callaway I wish I could afford it my dream truck
Very niceeee!!!
Wait. O the 0-60 the TRX is faster but not on the drag race? 🧐. Impressive machine. The Chevy looks amazing. I have a 2019. Love my lemon 😛
Beautiful trucks
That trx is a beast!
Love the Silverado idling exhaust
Then I love the ram rumble exhaust
Not a Equal Comparison
Its Always pick on a Stock Ram
Plus Callaway is not mass produced, Its a Tuner Company,
It's Basically a
Silverado SS Truck
No Excuses but Definitely not a Off Road vs Off Road
Comparison
Chevy Won but its not a Off Road Truck 👍😎
Are y'all the substitute for holden?
Music steps all over the dialog!!! Never mentioned the axle ratio of the Callaway!
Both nice trucks. Surprised with the weight difference how much faster the Ram was off the block. & these trucks are for fun anyways. So we’re really just splitting hairs. Can’t go wrong with either one!!
They both are for fun but the modified Chevy only makes it comparable to the Ram in drag races on pavement. One is a fun street truck and the other is a beefed up, factory monster, capable of serious off-road while still maintaining on road prowess.
3:22 hands down best sounding truck !
Well I love Chevy but I'm disappointed in then for nor making something competitive. But thanks to Callaway this Silverado which I happen to really like regardless of what everyone thinks of the look makes me really want one although I have no need for a pick-up truck, but if I ever decide to own one it would need to be a Callaway Silverado.
You can make more power cheaper by adding a turbo kit and doing most of the work yourself looking at CZcams videos
They're in the process of building the ZR2 Trail Boss, so just give it a moment.
👍 nice I ordered my 3.0 whipple waiting on tunes to get it installed hopefully here in the next month
proud owner of a beautiful 2020 Tahoe sc560!!
Callaway never disappoints💯💪💪🔥❤
TY
Curious. How much does a Calloway SC602 cost including the truck?
The Callaway SC602 is an option costing $21,995 and can be built on any GM 1500 series truck with the optional 6.2L engine, so that's from the base Trailboss Custom to the GMC Denali trim levels with various pricing depending on options
I love my TRX
But that is a beautiful Chevy
Yeah Chevy out classes it
@@overtimegoal2200 not even close lmao
The TRX is stock, put that Callaway against the Hennessey TRX
Ya, seems the only way to beat the TRX is to send it to Callaway for engine upgrades and weight reduction. I don't remember "Government Motors" building their "OWN" Pick-Up truck to compete with the TRX! LOL

Great job Callaway.
How much is the Callway mods with the price of the truck?
I'd love to see them go off-road but I doubt the Chevy will be able to with the street tires & wheels.
Insane
In addition to my sc560 I have a 2021 trailboss. If I remember correctly I was told it's 27k for the 602 package....I'm tempted because that power in Trailboss trim would go offroad just fine.
More then you want to pay,try about 120k

The TRX is massive!
Now hook both up to an Airstream 30FB Bunk and let’s see if they can tow too?! I already know the answer for one of the trucks.
Well it definitely won't be the TRX.

2 totally different types of trucks. A street truck vs a offroad truck. Love my TRX
What about a gen 1 Raptor with 800 hp Whipple package from Livernois motorsports?
From WHO??
@@saltyfloridaman7163 Sure
dam that silverado look sexy with that callaway name
I like it
Stupid comparison but I guess it makes the chevy fans and Callaway feel better about their trucks.
No launch control on the TRX???
This was fun to watch 👍. To all you fan boys complaining about fairness. GM (company) is not about sticking the same huge V8 and supercharging/turbocharging it in every vehicle. They leave that up to the consumer & 3rd party manufacturers. They try to keep everything functioning for reliability and cost sake. They keep their choices simple when producing a truck 5.3L or 6.2. Both of which will easily run beyond the 250,000 mile mark. I might not be able to beat that Raptor or TRX off that line, but let me tell you, my family would rather take that Tennessee trip from Florida in our Sierra, in comfort.
I agree. But all due respect my beautiful '20 6 2L loaded LTZ is no pushover at the stoplight. It hauls ass, especially in sport mode 🤘😁👍
Kid your clueless. Ask all those lovely Chevy owners with their 2011 5.3L V8 that consume 50% more oil then they're supposed to. And that's not the only years affected or only issues it's just the biggest one that Chevy/GM is currently being sued over in a Class Action lawsuit!
Lol because no one is taking a comfortable and reliable trip in something like a TRX or a Raptor. GM has something in the works for an off-road full size pickup so you won’t have to make excuses for them too much longer hopefully.
So you build a street truck and drag race an offroad truck lol Throw some street tires on there and the TRX catches it, guaranteed. Also the TRX weighs 1200lbs more.
@@saltyfloridaman7163 well it depends on the Silverado. My LT2 Trail Boss 6.2L has an all-wheel drive system.
BB...wah, wah...
I didn’t even have to watch the video to see who won. All I had to do was look through the comments for people making excuses like this. People saying “yea but it weighs more” is like saying “yea but his has more horsepower”. Yea, what’s that matter? It’s faster because oh it’s specs

I wish Ram would make a regular hellcat powered 1500 to compete with this and the F-150 Super Snake
Less weight does give you the advantage to go faster.
They are both nice but I love chevy! If you are a ram man don't cry 😢 it's just a race they are both beautiful trucks!
I am a Raptor fan but must say a 100 hp adv for the TRX is not enough for 1200 lb def in carb weight
Not to mention the wide 35” off-road tires, increased ride height and wide body. The Ram definitely has more available through tune and simple mods as well. Those LT engines are great but the truck 6.2 isn’t comparable to the hellcat engine internally.
@@JsGarage yes i agree
That chevy is badass put it against a f150 shelby 💪
That would be a fun test!
The Shelby beat the trx about the same as the chevy beat the trx. Be close
@@j.cephas584 Shelby lost to the TRX
The TRX already blew the Shelby out of its skin.. Shelby didn't have a chance. Sad you have to ra e a street truck against a off road truck, and a built truck at that.. thats chevy for ya...
What's the weight difference between the two ?
멋있다 항상 응원 할게요
I think the trx did pretty good considering its 1200 lbs heavier and has to turn those big a/ts.
IMO, I'm not sure were comparing apples to apples...The difference is that the Ram weighs 1260 pounds more, maybe the 100hp helps but I doubt it. Both are nice upper level trucks!
The gas tank size of the callaway killed it for me. I got a TRX. The Callaway makes a lot of sense in that it is a lot smaller width than the trx or raptor, has the speed, nice to get something with a warranty. 30 gallon plus tank and I would have got one.
you can install a bigger tank.
👍👍👍
I don't know....considered they source...
Before finishing watching post race has to be height, weight and 10spd tranny of silverado.....pretty impressive and both are ridiculous anyway......wish silverado was more of an offroad version though
Tires are obvious
Callaway had a corvette back in 88 that ran 254mph
So Ram = Stock…..
Callaway = Custom…😏
For a stock truck, the RAM held its own. I agree the Chevy is one good looking beast, but I’m a RAM fan through and through!
It’s supercharged 💀
4x4 versus street truck…..really?
why at every race the silverado is a head of the trx.... knowing its not stock?
BOWTIE BABY!!!👍😎😎😎😎😎
Put them both on the same size tires. The TRX is an off road truck not a street truck. Race them in the dirt.
Both trucks were on the OEM tires that they rolled off the show room floor with. We would love to see the TRX on a street tire and see how it changes the results! Or maybe, we will have to put the Silverado on an Off road tire and see how they fair in the dirt. That would be a cool test!
Callaway underrated
Not buying it
What RPMs was the TRX Launch on??
It should have been on around 4000RPMs on LAUNCH
And it didnt looked like it was
Plus it all depends on the Driver
The TRX would WIN everytime
If a proper driver was behind the wheel
What kind of exhaust system on the Chevy?
Callaway Sport Dual Exhaust with quad tips is the standard feature with the Signature Edition SC602 build
I'd personally only run Borla or Black Widow

Well i would not count on much more coming ot wit gas going through the roof
We will be watching scooter races soon
Did people forget that lifted trucks are for off-road?
I thought it was a fair comparison and then I saw that it was Calloway that posted the video. Nothing to see here guys they have to make the silverado win otherwise it’ll look bad on their part.
Now do it with a zr2
Cool as shit, but by no means a fair comparison. The TRX is a production truck regulated by epa and obviously under tuned to pass emissions. Also the trx is on off-road tires and clearly spins the tires when launching. The Silverado gets much better traction with street tires
Tires are a factor, but everything we produce is also fully 50-state emission-compliant. The launches are quite close, despite power/weight differences; check out the instrumented test data on our site 👍
Why didn't they drag race from a dig?
Factory vs Aftermarket. No comparison.
TRX fans: but It’s stock!!!
But It’s a Supercharged truck vs a supercharged truck at the end of the day. 😅 TRX should have been made into a street truck though in my opinion.
And he said "wow I didn't expect that". Dude, off-road monster vs a pavement queen.
Desert off road race vs street queen - apples to oranges
Id do this same race with money on it in my factory mid travel callaway silverado running 35" mud tires stock..
Of course the calories quicker because it’s almost 1300 pounds lighter
Chevy has less hp
@@CruzPerez-ge4to :1,300 lbs makes up for less hp, look it up!
I OWN A 2018 Z71 LTZ and love it.. yet this is not a far fight! the dodge is lifted and running off-road tires and the callaway is running street tires and looks like stock ride height. If you did an apple to apple test the dodge TRX would beat the hallway all day long even thought I don't won't the dodge to win.
Please show a race in the off-road elements. TRX would destroy that pretty little street princess.
Shut up 🤣
We need an Apples to Apples comparison, not Baja to Street!!! Street will win, 90% of the time!
I'll provide the baja callaway apples for this comparison 😋
The comparison is apples to apples… the trx is heavily modified from the factory but because the silverado dosent offer anything heavily modified from the factory they have to contract out but what killed the trx is the 2000 pound difference.
Chevy did tho for 1 year in 2015! The rocky ridge callaway special edition came with 37s, 6" lift coil overs and all!
Now put it against the hennessy mammoth and that chevy would get gapped

People keep forgetting that the Ram series trucks are no longer a Dodge product as they described in their opening gfx here. They are simply RAM. Have been since 2010.
Still the same Chrysler/FCA junk, changing a parent name didn't help
Thats your opinion. But yes they are in the same Chrysler family. Would you call a Range Rover a Ford back when Ford owned them? I don't think so. Im still glad FCA (now Stillantis) took over the brand otherwise all chrysler products including jeep would of been split to several companies or just dissolved all together and dissapeared.
@@nkaproductions8521 The old saying applies here "that was then, this is now". Chrysler was no better. They acquired AMC motors solely because they wanted the Jeep name owned by AMC. The AMC name disappeared with Chrysler's acquisition of the independent automaker, but the Eagle name carried on, worn by various Renault- and Mitsubishi-sourced models through the '90s, when it was finally retired in 1998." Those Eagle cars failed because the automaker did not have a coherent marketing strategy for Eagle. Incidentally, Ford had no choice but to sell Jaguar, Land Rover because of the money it was hemorrhaging in the US. I would never call Ford a Range Rover these days due to the reputation of subpar quality of Range Rover.
@@moodyman211 so is that why there's so much hate for Chrysler, because they dissolved AMC?
@@nkaproductions8521 honestly, I never said I "hated" Chrysler. I owned an AMC Concord back in the day, probably the worst car I ever owned. AMC quality was piss poor worse in the US. I was naive at the time, and just looked at it as my first set of wheels. My buddies at the time said "oh no you didn't". I didn't realize at the time what they were talking about. EVERYthing went bad on that thing. Literally every week it was in repair- Lucky I had a buddy who was a mechanic. Anyway, when Chrysler acquired AMC they were riding high on sales of their minivan. I mean AMC's other brand Eagle wasn't doing too great either, Jeep was AMC's golden egg. That's all fine and dandy, what I didn't particularly care about was them merging with a foreign company Mercedes and later Fiat. I think the brand is strong enough today to hold their own. Quality has gotten better. I'm even considering a Ram for my next truck- 10 years ago I would never would have admitted to that.
Both impressive trucks and a fun test, but not even close to an apples to apples comparison. And unless that Silverado had a massive interior upgrade who cares?? Left Silverado for Rebel and that was a big factor.

Sad . General motors won't build a super truck and won't pay attention to the market but aftermarket companies are giving customers what they want 🙄 😑 😒 🤔
Its not hard to take you foot off the gas to make the TRX look like it lost...😒
I like trx of road better
Once this 602 kit is in the new ZR2 Silverado it will be a better comparison for sure for all the butthurt TRX boys but lets be honest, the ZR2 will still win due to the weight savings and better transmission . The ZR2 will also compete very well off road .

Y'all are clueless. Most people (80%) CAN'T drive anything with hp above 400-500whp and end up wrecking them after not owning them very long. I see it all the time. Nowadays EVERYONE thinks if it's not some 1000hp Hellcat powered truck or twin turbos that their trucks "slow"..I had a 450hp CJ7 Jeep 20 year's ago now that did wheelies 1st-2nd and beat streetbikes daily in 1/4 mile and VERY few could actually drive it properly, nothing has changed...

PLastic
That's why Dodge guys wear bow ties 😮
Modified trucks vs factory trx rams.
It would be great to fast chevys and gmcs available at all dealerships🙄
Of course, the Silverado smoked that thing. Easy-peasy!
Come out to play Callaway. Something isn't kosher in Denmark. What's the sticker price on both trucks as tested?
The 0-60 times listed show the TRX being faster than the Callaway truck. The Callaway was faster in the 0-100 times of the TRX
The TRX (7080lbs) weigh verses the Callaway Silverado at 5820 lbs. That 1260 pound weight advantage to the Callaway should of had the truck way out in front, 0-60 which it wasn't.
So the real question is, is the GM 6.2 base engine that much a slug that the Callaway modification only effected torque as both trucks are within 10 ft/lbs of each other, yet the Callaway truck didn't trounce the factory stock TRX? Pull my other leg?
Test the Hennessy Helliphant TRX or Mammoth TRX or even the lowest package Hennessy TRX verses whatever Callaway want's to put together and offer a full warranty for 3 years or 36 months.
I'm a non brand specific owner, having a Ford 1 ton dually, a Ford 1 ton van and 3/4 ton Chevrolet fleet Suburban. I purchase what I need not a brand.
Last parting shot. Do you really think that the Silverado Callaway truck is an off-road truck? Looks like speed bumps in a parking lot might be a challenge for the 20 or 22 inch rubber.
