- RAM's Hellcat-powered TRX truck is a 10 out of 10. Hennessey's warranty-guaranteed MAMMOTH performance upgrades are an 11. This MAMMOTH 900 had an obvious power advantage but was fitted with 20" wheels and 37" tires. We were curious to know how much this larger, heavier setup would affect the truck's performance so we headed to the Pennzoil Proving Ground with a stock TRX for some comparison.

@@Redditor6079 actually it was, its just the angle of the camera that you might think they weren't lined up. I know that cos every time I park close to the no-parking zone cut off line, if you don't look at it parallel, at different angles you might think you crossed the line

I love how they talk about these packages as if they only cost a few bucks. Its $100k pickup truck PLUS another obsecene amount at Hennessey to get you this vehicle.

Might take more power to affectively turn those 37's, which you now have on tap and with running them you actually increased your top speeds as well in every gear throughout the entire power range!
My dad just recently bought one, he watched 1 minute of this video and he said “we are getting this” and ordered it online, 10/10 rating the suspension and the accelerator is just crazy I mean he beat a r34 skyline in that thing it’s just insane how fast this truck is and it’s at a good price.

Think it would be cool to swap the tires on the 2 or more ideally take two 900 hp trx one with stock wheels and tires and one with 37s. I know you said 50hp which is better than I imagined it would be with it being awd but curious on what it translates to speed wise
I work for FCA, now Selllantis 🙄, at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant where we build ALL the Dodge Ram 1500... I always wondered how bad ass these would be if they slapped the 1000 hp hellephant crate engine upgrade in this vehicle. I worked in thw wheels ready area for a month, where they put each vehicle on the dyno... the stock TRX sounds like an absolute monster.

Hennesssey Performance has done it again. They know how to turn something bonestock into a high horsepower performance monster. i'd love to see them do that with a 2022 f150 raptor-r

All comes down to 702 with full warranty or 900 with chucking the dice way cool however for sure that thing pulls hard all the way !! Nice job!

I would recommend you start allowing the less horsepower vic take the hit. A disadvantage win equals domination in every book not just some. Food for thought.

stock it's 12.7 sec, I guess this will reduce it by half a second or so, but don't expect 11's. Still pretty amazing for a truck, but you don't buy a truck like this for 1/4 mile times. You buy this to shred through rough terrain, kick up dirt on the back roads and trash it through snow.

I’m sure the guy in stock truck was a bit biased to make the 900hp look faster. How much is this kit anyway? I’ve seen 1000hp kits for 8-10k but my Mopar guy said the computers are locked so programming correctly is impossible

@@bradleyvantassal8328 There are people pushing 1000hp on stock drive train in the trackhawks. So i would say they will hold up very well. The zf8 transmission is better than the 10 speed from ford and chevy.
