Thanks for the vid! I’m on Strattera now because of issues with stimulants. I hope my creativity begins working like yours where I can follow through on a single idea!
I can relate to this completely, I find myself bored very quickly when creating since starting Strattera. I feel it is better though since I can now focus on academic studies. I am hopeful once I've implemented some strong routines I will find it easier to get the creative stuff done though. Takes time i suppose... Thanks!
Thank you so much for this. I'm going to give Strattera another shot and start taking it at night since mine is 40mg because of how badly I get distracted and switch tasks. If it doesn't go well for me in a couple of weeks, I will try asking them to lower my dosage. I just really hate feeling sleepy...have had enough trouble with that without the Strattera. Thank you for your openness.
I was super sleepy with high dosis, now I'm taking straterra at night. I have been taking the medication 1 month, I feel less impulsive nut I'm still distracted in some things. Thanks for the info, I will start a new job and I have to study some tech concepts, I would like to see how is going
That’s great, thanks for the response. After failing on all first line treatments I am due to start atomoxetine on Monday. I am going to start really low as you’ve suggested in your previous videos as I am also very sensitive to medications. Do you still happen to be taking atomoxetine? If so, is it effective at the same dose after all this time or have you had to alter? Thanks!
It's the regulation of the focus. If I am really interested I could hyperfocus but if I wasn't I couldn't focus at all - although it wasn't that black and white. Big problem at work, life admin, finances, taking care of myself etc. Plus it was way more than my ability to focus that was causing me difficulties with ADHD.
can someone explain for me i took the same brand 40mg and after an hour i slept and i continue sleeping for a literally 24 hours and now it’s the third time take it i slept for 11hours but i’m still like sleepy i feel i tired
I took strattera most my childhood but stopped taking it do to being told it causes infertility so I no longer take it and I'm not planning on taking it regardless of me being diagnosed with adult ADHD
I'm on strattera now. After a couple of weeks I was working out and was really out of breath. Had heart palpitations that night. My heart rate stayed 20 points higher than normal until the next day. I also drank caffeine after I took the medication, but just a watered down cup. If it keeps making me feel like this, I'm done with it.
But when you hyperfocus you forget everything else around you like eating or going to sleep or even other important things. We people with ADHD have a hard time regulating our attention. So we don't have attention defecit.
@@FindingYourSerenity I mean now you have focus on lots of things now tho instead of just maybe 1 thing u know and you get lots of more things done because you can regulate your focus.
I just started on atomaxatine generic of settera. Unfortunately it made me not eat and jittery and a headache and I'm only on 10 mil. Also I tried stimulants like Adderall and Vyvanse and they made me awful. I know I have ADHD my mom and dad have it. Just me idk I'm so sensitive to medication. Idk what to do.
@@FindingYourSerenity yeah. Usually when it happens to me I'll remember like 30 minutes later and just blurt it out after everyone has moved on and people just look at me like what lol

Hi, does the medication help with your focus? I mean, you can’t hyper focus but you are able to focus on more/ most tasks?
yes :)

@@Alex-iq5tt how is it going now?
If you focus without the drug then why would you need it? Or is it the focus on unimportant things?

See if you can start on a lower dose. I was so tired on 30mg that I had to cut back to 25mg.

You gotta do what's best for you :)
Rumour
Infertile 😮oh wow interesting. I have never heard that before.
I took strattera for a week, and quit. Chronic dry mouth, insomnia, shortness of breath, plus fatigue. It’s a no.

It was the only part I enjoyed though. Yes - there were many negative consequences of it. But it was the only time I felt genuinely happy :/

@@bridgetteblueeyesandgoodvi3853 Just give it a couple of weeks. That's when most people say the side effects get better.
Mind going blank is probably ADHD. My mind does that even when not on meds for long periods of time.
Evanx373 makes sense that I’d still have some symptoms
