If your child is on this please do them a favor and run, the short time control of adhd is not worth the life shattering consequences in the future. This med will sedate, delay puberty, stunt growth, weight gain. This medication took away my childhood and early adult life. It’s not right that I was able to run faster, learn more efficiently at the age of 25 instead of my younger years, after stopping strattera it take a year for the effects to wear off. The manufacturers hardly even know how it actually works in the body and had no clue the very first years it was released.

Honestly I don’t notice a huge difference in mood or thought patterns, but I do feel like my estimation of energy exertion is more practical. Like before Straterra I would think abt picking something up off the floor but it would feel like that would take up so much energy so I wouldn’t do it. Now I can do things like that very easily and build off of that energy to do more things rather than let it drain me. I’ve also completely lost the constant urge to binge eat. These are my current side effects in the first month of taking it:

When I stopped cold turkey, I expected NO side effects as I was told but i had a massive headache for two days accompanied with a full day of vertigo and messed with my mood but it's definitely mild considering it's not addictive. I started this a week ago and haven't noticed any of this. I have been on Lexapro for a year and my doc said to stay on it while starting Straterra. I don't have any of these symptoms which is great but the whole point of my starting my ADHD treatment was because of my chronic fatigue I deal with and that has yet to improve. In fact, since starting this I have had to take a nap mid day two days this week and I NEVER nap, even with chronic fatigue I manage to stay awake and not take naps. If this doesn't improve in the next few weeks, I will be switching to a stimulant because I can't deal with the fatigue anymore, not with working two jobs that require focus!
