He's right about Ryans left hook not working against shorter fighters. It's hard for most people to hit shorter guys with a conventional left hook. It's easy to throw it too high because you want your rear shoulder slightly lower than the shoulder of the arm you're hooking with. It's like the opposite of a straight. The weight transfers from the lead foot to the rear foot instead of the other way around and so you need to lean back slightly over your rear leg to carry the power through the same way you lean over your front leg when throwing a right hand.

The problem with boxing is there’s too many rounds. There will literally be like 5 rounds of both fighters taking time off and throwing a couple jabs as they build up their energy reserves again and these rounds count the same as a high action round where someone gets hurt. Cut the number of rounds, up the round length.
