The sidecar brake doesn't add much stopping power honestly. Even less if there's no passenger. If you want more stopping power look to upgrade your calipers or increase the size of the brake rotor with brackets. What bike do you have?

@@rhodeisland_roadking thanks from what information I'm finding the sidecar brake rotor needs to be smaller like a 7-in.but I would like to know if your motorcycle rear brake reservoir had a second hole for you to run the auxiliary line to the sidecar?

@@danielhigh3260 No they ran a tee junction and split the line which is why you may need a bigger bore master cylinder to push enough fluid for two calipers but it depends. You may get away with stock whatever but there will be a bunch more travel on the pedal.

@@rhodeisland_roadking ok gotcha. I have be told that a inline spliter close to the brake caliper is a nice way of doing the job as well . Still it would bringing up The question of reservoir size . Champion side car shows a bolt on kit for my hack but they won't like $1,200 for this thing and it looks like a freaking go-kart disc brake setup

czcams.com/video/yBggAEkTfB8/video.html if that bolt is removed, is the arm, that attaches to the sidecar then able to 'move' a bit, like rotate up and down for alignment or is it suppose to 100% stay in its place when disconnected from the bike?

Once installed at all 3 points none of the bolts move but there is flex in the whole frame as one would expect. Adjustment comes from the eyelets but needs to be dialed in before.
