In fact, wood is composed by the same things than fruit making it the same or even more nourishing than it. It's just that wood contains a special compound that tangles up everything, so in order to digest wood, you must be able to break it and only a few animals are able to do so. And looks like those larvae are able.
Yea the wood near my door (which is inside in my bathroom) growed something like a mushroom i don't know how but,the wood gets wet regularly by water splashes XD
all is sugar glucose the difference being that the tree is mainly cellulose which is a glucose polymer that has beta 1,4 bonds which we cannot digest, also the entire structure is stabilized by hydrogen bonds and that is why cellulose is very strong structurally however a polymer we can digest for example starch is also made of glucose but with alfa 1,4 bonds which our enzyme alfa amylase can digest and break it to glucose units which we use for energy.
Every human being should have a childhood full of experiences you show here. Learning about the world around a us is something that is missing more and more. People these days don't know where egg comes from anymore.

If that amber comes from the Baltic Sea, this ant is ~20 milion years too young to have an opportunity of seeing dinosaurs. The Baltic amber deposits come from Eocene, not from the end of Cretaceous.
with the grub i was thinking carpenter bee at first (one of my fave bugs) The males have no sting but are crazy aggressive which makes for some hilarious behavior. They will chase off other insects but if you flick a small pebble near them in flight they will chase it trying to attack it. Seen them get ahold of yellow jackets wasps and ants near a chosen nest site the males will rip em to bit. The females do have a sting but are extremely docile you can bat them around in the air and they still wont sting the only way they will is if you put the end of your finger in a hole they bored or catch them in the crook of your elbow between your shirt and skin etc. The males will bite the hell out of you though in the same conditions and will draw blood lol They are a "destructive" species But they can be satiated by providing them a large dried out log or some old dried out lumber. They are extreme pollinators though so do not just kill them when you see them instead try to give them some scrap wood or old logs to nest in and for their young grubs to eat and enjoy their antics
Raising a human from some sort of a container should be possible, but it’ll be nowhere as easy as raising a chicken. The chicken had everything it needed for its development (food supplies) already in the egg, so feeding the growing organism would be quite more complicated, and if things go wrong through the development it’ll definitely result in some sort of disease in the finished product, if it doesn’t die due to improper development, that’s what makes it inhumane
Those wires you say may be steel might actually be aluminum. aluminum wire is pretty common, and it's kinda cheapie but probably fine for that application.
If the ant was tangled 50 millions year ago, around 16 million years AFTER the dinosaur extinct, i'm sure that the ant must be a little older to see them, at least 70 million years old
I believe that may have been a queen ant. And the larva was its young. It could of been in a tree when the branch tamped encasing the inside of here founding chamber with tree sap.
Amber is not quite the same as other fossilized organics. The organic structures of other fossils are mostly replaced by minerals, leaving almost a casting--A sculpture of what used to be there, with what remains, being only the chemical and physical interactions with the original material and the newer deposits. This takes millions and millions of years. Amber on the other hand, retains its original chemical composition and simply loses more and more volatiles over time(Dries and hardens). Amber can form in a decade. Losing enough volatiles and polymerizing enough to where everyone agrees that it is amber has long been debated.
actually that can be done but unlike birds that have nutrients in the egg we get that from our mothers so you have to make some type of type with a liquid and a feeding system that will be way harder than what you did with rambo
They get their energy eating cellulose which basically is sugar rearranged molecularly to create structures and the worm is basically eating the cellulose and digesting the sugars
For an egg it's kinda easy because the egg is self sufficient. In a human you cannot possibly feed it the quantity of hormones and nutrients required for its development even if you are able to make an artificial uterus. Only the mother's womb can pull off something like that. Also even If you are able to pull it off it would not be humane as you may know.
Do you think we could grow a tiny subscriber?))
Yep
Epic
I guess
😅😃😊

Bark beetle larvae i’m guessing. Horrendous little critters that can destroy entire forests!.

its crazy to think that these prehistoric creatures are our predecessors despite them looking drastically different from today's animals.
Looks pretty much the same

Yeah, the ant probably didn't see any dinosaurs because they would have most likely been dead by then. Unless you mean birds.

No you have absolutely no way of knowing how old that resin is.
Cellulose is carbohydrates, it's just too complex for most animals to digest. Termites have specialized digestive systems so they can eat it.
