Dude…no, Your Dudeness! It’s Oct. 19th 2021 and I’m talking to you from the future. I am new to FCPX and to date you are by far the most detailed. That is to say, much more informative when it comes to the little things that most Tubers assume we newbies know. Can’t tell you how many time I’ve said, “oh, that’s how or what you do, and why!!!” Thanks so much.

@@izzyvideo I have a video completed and it was a lot of fun putting it together. Can't wait to learn more from these tutorials. I will probably get the garage band lessons after I get through these. Thanks Again!

This is amazing! I have been trying to find a FCPX tutorial that is for SUPER GREEN content creator ... me, and this is the FIRST one (out of many on CZcams) that is actually presenting for a new new newbie to FCPX. Thank you izzy. I subscribed right away and created a playlist so I can keep all of you videos in one place. I am excited again to start learning FCPX again. I just purchased a 2019 MBP. It is amazing and I want to utilize it for all it's worth ... ALL OF IT'S WORTH!!! Thanks again!! Queen B

Izzy - Thank you for producing this video. Your videos make learning the basics of FCP X easy. I'd like to learn more about the Library Properties - Storage Locations and the best recommendations for where cache, media, media content and back-ups should be stored. Have you produced a video for those settings?

Thank you..I've been using FCP since version 1 and unfortunately with latest OS I can no longer use FCP7...thank you for this tutorial, because after 7 , X is completely non intuitive, you saved me hours of frustration

Very useful - although Im having trouble with some clips in the browser being about 90% 'greened out' and when I play them whether in preview or timeline theyre just blank, but I still have audio! Any ideas? the original files play fine in quicktime and i cant seem to see any pattern that differentiates between them and the files that playback fine...

When items are pulled into the browser, are they a proxy or are those taking up storage space? Are they still in the place they were before, or have they now moved to FCPX?

Go to Final Cut Pro settings, and under Import section, there are two options: Copy to library or Leave files in place. The first option will basically duplicate the files you already have into the Project folder you created.
