Hi thank you for sharing with us we have also such vehicle here in Africa uganda
Good job buddy 😮
Thank you!👍
Cool. I did almost the exact same thing, but I had to build mine a little higher because I have a 70 bus and I wanted the dolly to roll straight in and out without having to go up or down. I used the floor jack to adjust the height of the transmission to match the engine. I've used it twice now and it worked very well - a lot better than using a jack on the engine. Now, if only I were a better mechanic...
Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍
excellent. next time I go to harbor freight I will getting that dolly. cheers
Thanks Dave! 👍
Great video made even better without home made music in the back ground, nice and clear and easy to understand thank you.
Thank you, friend. I appreciate the comment.👍
Genius Tony, as many VW motors I have pulled, and I never thought of that, handy rolling , handy storage, it does it all, very well done my friend
Thanks Mike! I think I’ll build an extra, for an upcoming engine build.👍

As usual, a simple and clever approach Tony. Have never had anything to do with VWs, but a good mate did build his own Baja Bug when we were finishing high school (college for you guys). Seemed very simple to work on and modify. Cheers, Andy
Thanks Andy! Yes, they’re about as simple as a car can be. Quite a contrast to modern vehicles. 👍Cheers, Tony
Most excellent now I can do it by myself. Dont always have some one around to help. Very good.
Thanks Mitch! I appreciate your comment.👍
I have two dune buggys Had to take a motor out 3 time this year. Have to waiit for two people to move it for me. Thanks again.

Great video tony 👊🏼🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Herb! I appreciate it.👍
I like the tan color on your lift
Thanks. It’s the original color on the old Stenhoj lift.

This is just the thing I need. Working on a budget, its hard to justify the cost of a metal dolly when Im not removing engines often. Thank you for this video
Thanks Tyler! I hope that it helps you out. 👍Tony B
I use a moto jack, basically a large trans jack.
Makes it super easy.
Good idea Ryan!👍
Hey Tony. That sure makes the job easy for sure. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Thanks Andy. I like easy!👍
Thanks for sharing such good ideas! Good to see you!
Авто супер брат

You always have very ingenious ideas.
Thanks! I appreciate the compliment.👍
Looks good, I have always take the motors out of buggies with only tube Deane rears
Thanks Ed! I appreciate it.👍
Great idea!
Thank you!👍
Hey that worked very well those VWs are pretty cool I've always liked their design and function.
Thanks! Yeah, I enjoy their simplicity. Kind of like a go-cart for big kids.👍
Genius. Thank you for sharing, you saved me a lot of thinking power. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hey, I appreciate it! 👍
I am literally starting a "2nd" renovation on a 1970 convertible. I'm going to try this...I had started to use a harbor freight cross brace accesory--but I think this is better. I always needed a helper to keep the engine from tipping off the jack...lol. Alas--no more helper--so wish me luck!
Thanks Mike! Good luck!👍Tony B
Great idea Tony, well thought out, Cheers
Thanks Stewart! I appreciate it. 👍Cheers
Nice idea. That's a nice lift you have there :)
Thanks, I appreciate it.👍
I used the same thing for a while but the front ended up sagging quite a bit due to the cut piece of the dolly. Mine was very similar yours.
From there I ended up building a metal one out of angle iron that does the trick.
As long as it works it’s a win!
With todays lumber prices, it might be more economical out of iron. Thanks!👍
Hey this is a great idea. Thank you for sharing. I was using a transmission jack for this purpose, but I like the fact that you can roll the engine around on the dolly after it has been removed. 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks, Nate!👍
Cool
Thanks David!👍
👍
Thanks!
Hi Tony, I wanted to mention you in my next video, is it ok to say your channel name is Tony B, and do you want subscriber’s to sub to Tony B, I see if I type in Chips and Sparks Garage it takes me to Tony B, if I can help get the word out that would be great, and I won’t mention anything about the reason, let me know😆
Thanks, Mike. I’m not sure, what I’m doing with the name yet, so no need to mention it at this time.
Thanks for the offer though, and I might take you up on it at another time.👍
@@ChipsAndSparksGarage there’s a little surprise coming down the pike, but I won’t mention the channel name, have a nice Sunday
