In many New England towns it's the law to stop for all pedestrians. That's what those signs are saying. While I agree that guy could have been more careful, he wasn't in the wrong. The camera definitely overreacted @@Kamamel0n

Because when pedestrians run across the street, it leaves no time for drivers to react. That is my main problem in parking lots, wherein people dart into the aisle where drivers have little room to maneuver.

@@GrandMoffVixenThere are no laws that state that pedestrians are not allowed to run in pedestrian crosswalks. He was out jogging and the driver should have proceeded with caution when approaching the crosswalk. The jogger was already in the crosswalk and the driver was not paying attention. It happens and I will admit I have done that. The difference is, I do not verbally insult the pedestrian and blame them for lawfully following the rules while I was not and completely placing my incompetence on the person in the right.
I think it's just hilarious the Jersey guy in the first clip gets MAD at someone running across a walk. Why? That just means he'll be out of the way sooner.
Accident studies apparently have found that it is dangerous both for the runner and for motorists trying to swerve to avoid hitting a human being who suddenly came flashing into their path.
The law is against running across streets.

Wrong. Ped was in the crosswalk before vehicle and vehicle had plenty of time to stop "impossible for the driver to yield or stop." Driver both yielded and stopped so it was not impossible. People need to chill out. @@RussOlson-nk3wc

Dude, one time when I was in Hoboken NJ, I didn't speed up to beat the yellow light since I didn't have time to so I stopped. The guy behind me laid on the horn without stopping for a single second until the light turned green a minute later, and I went. I was so confused for the first 5 seconds then I was like, Oh it's just a douche lol
The area where I work in NJ has a lot of four way stop signs, and OMG people have no idea what to do.

One has a better chance to react to a person walking across a crosswalk when compared to a person moving much faster. I'm guessing the driver was startled and that made him react poorly.
It is against the law to abruptly enter a crosswalk as a pedestrian by doing anything other than walking. It's called a crossWALK for a reason. SO what is walking? Walking is when one foot remains on the ground as one is off the ground. What is running? Running is when your stride increases to the point where both of your feet are off the ground.

We are. We are the most densely populated state in the US, especially near NYC in Bergen, Passaic and Essex counties. In the Paramus area it's constant traffic backups no matter time of day it is. My father used to say TMFP (too many f**king people). And they're still building more and more apartments in each town. That, and the pollution get to you after a while. You'll never understand until you experience it firsthand.

Unfortunately, my 86 year old mother and 90 year old mother-in-law live nearest to me and my wife while our siblings live either on the other side of the state or another state altogether. So we're basically the default caregivers.

That’s your fault for not slowing down for pedestrians. You have to yield to pedestrians not the other way around. Sure the other guy didn’t yield either, but that does not excuse you not yielding either. It says *STOP* for pedestrians.
Right it took me a second to figure out why the guy was so mad (had volume off). But in the cars defense like you said the runner didnt really yield, like he should have looked both ways too. Most runners I do see they jog in place while they look both ways and then when they see its safe they run out. Like even when the light turns green you gotta look both ways now.

Yeah, NJ is the only state now that doesn't allow you to pump your own gas. The people who started the whole thing were obviously from out of state (I used to live in NJ, and I know the drill when filling up), and they took it WAY overboard, and struck the attendant. Some people just can't deal with the fact that NJ still has a law keeping people from pumping their own gas.

No. 24: It is a state law that you cannot pump your own gas, mostly due to some idiots messing with the pumps years ago. You can tell those guys in that black sedan are out of state when they think otherwise.
Personally as someone who grew up in MD i find that particular NJ law to be a bit pointless.
It’s 100% pointless. I was taught how to pump gas when I was 16, and I’ve never had any issues with it. If you cannot simply pump your own gas for the car you’re driving, then you shouldn’t be driving to begin with

For #3, I have been in that situation before and I just put it in park and waited for the other tool to back up. It’s amazing how quickly they change their tune once they see you aren’t moving.
Wanted to add: I sure would like to see the missing bits in #8, where the cam was in the middle lane then suddenly in the left lane and the mustang comes in and starts crap. I can’t really get mad at the mustang with a chunk of video missing like that. Good possibility the cam person cut off the mustang and is just getting back some. I don’t agree with retaliation no matter what, but I am not surprised when I see it.

#12 I know this exit VERY well. Drivers don't give a damn if you're trying to get to that right turn exit. That driver coming up on the right deserved those tickets and he was 100% in the wrong.
I know cause I drive an ambulance to RWJ new Brunswick using this exit and drivers like this guy always cut me off when trying to take this exit from the ez pass lanes.
Also #29: the 42/295 area is Notorious for accidents and idiocy of drivers not reading signs. Hell they still haven't finished building the new exits and bridges on that road.

About ten years ago we fled California's "Bay Area" -- in part because the drivers there are insanely amped-up, stressed, packed on the freeways like rats in a cage -- and totally "bonkers." Here in Oregon people are so mellow at the wheel that it feels like we're "back in the 1950s." Our blood pressure has dropped significantly!
I moved from Silicon Valley to Dallas, TX in early 2021. I can say, the Dallas drivers are waaaaaaaaaaay more aggressive. I chock up Bay Area drivers to being mostly inexperienced as opposed to angry. Dallas they're just angry lol
I don't miss driving in Tualatin or Tigard. The max is way faster than driving

The first clip basically sums up the typical attitude of New Jersey drivers.
NJ or as I called it when I was an OTR driver the NJ Talladega 500/Demo Derby rolled into one. I literally would be doing 65+ southbound on the TP heading out of the state and some idiot would think that he needed that 6 inches of space I had in front of me to make the exit off the Turnpike.
I called it New Jerkoff or The Garbage State.

#24, Gas stations can be aggressive and annoying in there. These people don’t give a what on the gas attendant! Old Lady hit the worker with her cane, then complaining to the worker saying “We’ve been sitting here for 20 minutes!” Those guys need to serve respect and honesty from each other and stop making a huge fuss about it. If you don’t like the gas station you’re in, then go somewhere else and find a gas station which doesn’t have the same scenario as you are.
Glad the woman got arrested for assaulting a weapon/cane on the gas attendant at the gas station. The other people should get a warning for causing the disturbance and arguing with the worker, or he could’ve asked them to leave the gas station.

@@rwefree9469I think so too, especially with those of us who have done it at least 10,000 times... I used to drive for a living and would do it at least twice a day, I used to do a job where I used to go from Massachusetts to New Jersey and back everyday, but supposedly the attendants are trained in it... I would have to explain to them several times what I needed, and sometimes they thought I needed premium, but I don’t drive a car that requires it. In a lot of cases, at least around New York City, they’re people that are relatively new to the country. One of the times I filled up in New Jersey, I got a native English speaker, and he somehow got gas on the side of the car... Sometimes, you also have to wait 20 minutes for the attendant... I think there should be a choice.

Omg about time as I used to live in New Jersey and trust me. The drivers in that state are beyond stupid and 1/2 think they have class P for Privileged. In my opinion everyone should take a mandatory recertification road test with a undercover 👮♂️. If they fail take their license away for 6 months. I swear everyone drove Like they where on medication and not the over the counter 😅. I grew up in bklyn ny and they are idiots all over that state. Oh and there parking skills was atrocious, can't even count how many times I had marons Park right on my Bumper with dam near 7 ft in front or rear. Got so bad I purchased a box of idiot cards where u can check the back and I'll place them right on the windshield or drivers door. 😅😅 Stay out of New Jersey if you value your car and life. 😅😅😅 Red light runners was an every day occurrence so I moved out of New Jersey for my safety. 😊

Yes, I've driven through NJ from 1976 through present. Way back in 76, I noticed a situational awareness disconnect of NJ drivers. I avoid NJ as much as possible now, but find psychotic driving practices have spread to NY and Connecticut. There's something about the NYC metropolitan area, with 25million people stacked on top of each other causing them to lose their minds.
Do the speed limit in the Right lane and I get brake checked.
Try to zipper merge around a wreck and get the 2mph finger.
If you don't lay rubber to the next red light 300 ft away you're gonna get horn-blow-cussed-out or worse.

Long time NJ resident here. We are plagued by people who don't know how to drive, don't know where they're going, and don't pay attention. Don't get me started with cell phones. If the other driver is a woman under 60, her cell phone is very close by, and will get looked at every few seconds.

The truck in front of him had his brake lights on for a few seconds before the cammer hit his own brakes. But yeah its the trucks fault somehow.

nj resident here, I went to PA once and didn't know how to pump my own gas LOL, it was a little embarassing. Plus side is that you can be on your phone while someone else does the work for you :). I would like the option to do either one, but knowing NJ, people would not know what to do or be fussy about it.

Yea, as a NJ resident I can vouch that our drivers are some of the most clueless and/or arrogant and impatient knuckle draggers you'll ever come across.
I had to watch clip #1 three times to figure out what was wrong! WOW!
I lived in NJ for three months in the winter of 2017/2018. I've driven coast to coast and in almost 40 states. NJ drivers hands down are the absolute worst. Never in 30+ years of driving have I seen so many drivers just come to a complete stop on entrance ramps and wait for a clearing to merge onto a highway. Time and time again, they just stop and wait.

To me this looks like Cammer has a huge ego and did not want the aggressive truck driver to pass so cammer blocks the left lane. I can only assume other video angles are incriminating to the Cammer leading them to be intentionally not shared.
Yeah, I think he was intentionally blocking the truck, probably for content because there WAS a reason for the truck to change lanes; there were work trucks slowing in that lane.
As a Jersey local, I approve of these clips. We are such skilled drivers

#2 I feel like even the slightest bit of defensive driving could have avoided that. I feel like I know what the cammer was going to do, something people get cut off (or think they got cut off) do often--come zooming up behind the offending vehicle and tailgate them. Cammer went to do that and lost when they suddenly braked to make a right turn. Cammer probably got a poor payout because they were held partially at fault.

Good examples of why I carry pepper mace in my car up to the legal limit. It's right at my fingertips. Check you state law on volume that is legal.

Or due to editing we dont actually know if the cammer is innocent. The video skips when he passes to the cammer coming over. He likely cut the mustang off. I find it hard to believe people care that much about being passed by some random. More likely the cammer did something to piss him off. Not saying the mustang is justified, brake checking should automatically revoke your driving privileges, but I dont believe the cammer is innocent.
And one more thing: do not honk for every stupid action from an other driver. Just let it happen and drive on. Only honk when the situation is really becoming dangerous ( as you learned in the diving school, i hope)

Most of these cammers think they are submitting video showing another driver making an error or stupid decision but many of the cammers reaction only contributes to the situation.

Bro everyday in NJ I almost get into in accident. People break checking me, people speeding, not using their turn signals, cutting me off, missed exit peopled driving BACKWARDS on the highway. I hate driving here especially in Bergen. Shit is awful
