I have a sister in law who is a bad driver, and who also has totalled multiple cars too.
Both of you would love my sister; worst driver I have ever seen. No depth perception. I will not let her drive if we are together. I don’t care if it’s her car. Only time I ever let her drive was on my way back home after surgery and I was so doped up I didn’t care.

Over here in Aussie land (Australia) at the 21:18 mark the RAV 4 was in front of the cammer and if there are two lanes merging into 1 and no lines trailing off to the kerb side then the vehicle in front has right of way!.
If the lines are trailing off then whoever ever is in through lane has right of way even if other vehicle in kerb lane is in front a bit….

I don't understand why if you know your spouse is a terrible driver yet you still let them drive, it's like your asking for something to happen. As was noted in the original compilation, it's clear the cop to the left knew what was happening as he was sitting in teh turning lane with a green arrow. He was basically doing traffic control to make sure no one would get T-Boned by the idiot on the run.
Blocking the intersection wasn't really feasible with the one car they had ahead of the guy as he clearly was willing to jump medians and sidewalks to get away; it would have put more people at risk and not really have a good chance to work (as the road is clearly 4-lanes, one car is not going to close off multiple lanes at once).
Like handling a rampaging bull, the cops were basically herding him towards a place they could safely stop him, while minimizing excess damage as best as possible.
Same. And good on that white car to be aware enough to get themself out of danger.

My brother (cop) told me about a time where he got called out to a rock quarry because a girl was being followed. Apparently she hadn't gone in the proper order while leaving the high school intersection according to Ms.Karen, who followed her 13 miles into the country. Once the girl realized that she was being followed she drove to the quarry and just yelled to the gate attendant that she's being followed. The workers boxed the Karen in with trucks and a bulldozer 😂 she told my brother "I was just going to let her know that wasn't the proper order at a 4 way intersection." She saw nothing wrong with following her all that way for something so trivial...

It is amazing to me, to see how many videos have the person taking the video being the instigator -- in the left lane not passing the car in the right lane - so finally someone blows a top and splits the middle. LEFT passing, RIGHT cruising. And when you pass, pass like the 80 yr olds in Italy do, hit the gas and go 20 over and then slow back down when in the right lane!
I know that in some states lane splitting on a motorcycle is allowed, but in my mind that's the dumbest thing that a biker could do.

#34 (the Nova Scotia one). I just noticed this time around that the idiot driver was also driving without his lights on. He's got the daytime running lights on, but his taillights aren't on which means the regular lights aren't on.
Sadly, that seems to be more and more common nowadays, especially in this area when it gets dark earlier in the day and stays dark later in the morning. Many a times I've been driving into work and been behind someone I can barely see because they don't have their lights on. :(
Did you notice that the guy with the dash cam was doing over 130 kph. They are both morons imo.
I think more and more cars also have dash lights that come on whenever the car is on (or are electronic screens). You used to be able to tell when your headlights were on as the dash lit up with the headlights. I've been noticing it more recently too, especially where there's street lighting so the actual headlights aren't as noticeable to the driver. I assume there's a small indicator light, but I don't know how obvious that is. High beam stands out on mine as it's the only blue light, but more cars seem to use other blue lights nowadays too. The green light for the fogs also stands out. But there's a version of mine that's lit green, so isn't as obvious. I actually changed all the back lighting in mine from red to white (lots of fiddly soldering tiny LEDs), as I couldn't get used to red not being warning lights. Plus looks better in my opinion. Design seems to be going backward to less helpful and obvious. That driver probably should have noticed no headlights on that road though.

I can't believe people get mad enough over traffic to risk damaging their own vehicles.
Fact: one of the hardest things to do and learn is to let things go, don't make things worse by reacting and getting back at the person, just let it go, it takes allot of discipline to drive without freaking out or over reacting. You can't rationalize with irrational drivers.

That Dayton, OH, crazy riding on the breakdown lane and smacking into the cammer's car is pretty typical stuff, even down to the fixing of his hair while driving like a maniac. Dayton is not known for the mental stability of its residents.

You can see the line next to the curb. You're supposed to move over into that lane when vehicles approach.
The guy claims it's not a bike lane but the city sure paint it like a bike lane. If you watch it, it gets a broken line at business' entrances, it breaks away between the turn and straight lanes, and when the curb moves away from the road, it stays where it is with a marked out area between it and the curb. So perhaps he should call his local city about it.

That’s not a bike lane. And unless specifically posted, cyclists are entitled to use as much of the lane as they deem necessary to ensure their safety. Frankly, I’m not even certain that cyclists MUST use the bike lane. It’s a grey area due to cyclists needing to use the left lanes to turn left. Obviously this varies state by state, but that’s generally regarded as a universal law.
All that aside, the cyclist indicated that it wasn’t a bike lane.

21:36 Does anyone know not how to turn on their lights when driving at night? I have seen this multiple times with newer cars with day time running lights but taillights do not activate. Vehicles these days have automatic lights and turn on when it gets dark. Also, when this happens most of the dashboard is blacked out and you cannot see the simplest of controls which should give them a clue. My opinion is either they are drunk or just oblivious on how their vehicle works
Since newer cars have all electronic displays that turn on with the ignition, the driver doesn't see any difference unless they are on unlit roads. I keep my lights-switch on day & night (they go off when the car is shut off) but on occasion I have failed to notice they weren't on when the switch had been changed.
I cant tell you how many people in my town drive without their headlights. I flash mine multiple times, and they shove their hands out the window like "what!?!?!" HEY BOZO, THE BACK OF YOUR CAR IS BLACK, BLACK, BLACK. YOU are gonna kill someone !!!! !
What Jim said. I can't speak to the past several years of newer vehicles, but the 00s & up have had various light sensing modes standardized across the industry... which were not always activated by default back in the day. You had to put that setting on, otherwise your lights were manual. The inclusion of DRL and gauge clusters that relied solely on illumination to provide the display at all times really did this stuff in as people were too dumb to realize their night stuff wasn't turned on.
It's for this reason that I have the brightness turned way down when the lights are on with one of my cars that has auto lights... the daytime illumination level is also way too bright for night driving anyway but it helps distinguish if I need to set it to manual around dusk and stuff if the sensor isn't picking up the ambient light correctly. I can't help but wonder if some of these people have no idea it's even a thing.
I miss the days when cars had gauges you could read in the daytime without needing a backlight or a screen.
The last driver is me! My parking game is subpar LOL

#13, I know lane splitting is legal. I'm not disputing that. However, I'm putting myself in the shoes of Tesla driver: no bike was there when they checked the lane to move over most likely, the bike lane split and the Tesla did their change. This is why splitting is dangerous even if it's legal. I think the biker takes some "blame" here also.
Maybe if the Tesla driver signaled then there would be less issue too. They simply jumped lanes without letting anyone around them know. Biker might've been able to avoid a lot better and with a lot less drama

11:56 should have pulled over to offer video for evidence. 100% guarantee the van driver lied their ass off. Could have got them for a reckless driving citation and the insurance cost. Plus it gets them on the record and one step closer to getting their license pulled.
Someone did that to my stepdad when i was a kid coming home from my grandmas pool in my moms new black mazda, it fliped twice ended up on its roof and i got knocked out from the force of the van ramming our car the lady tried lying at first saying we hit her but then told the cops she hit us bc she wanted us to go(light was red)

1. No, turn signals exist and you're legally required to use one when you turn, the motorcyclist can't magically see the future and break ahead of time. 🤡 2. Splitting lanes is legal and has been shown in many studies to be more safe than not.
@@smashdioconnel1960 never, ever, ever, will you see a driver be at fault for failing to signal (or improper use of a signal) that causes a wreck. They would still have to be at fault for some other reason. Even where lane splitting is legal, many times it's not a good idea, and whether the law is on your side or not isn't going to help you if you're dead. Even though lane splitting is legal in CA, there are still some restrictions on it, and if you are moving at considerably faster than traffic, that may be enough. CA only allowed it because the gridlock there means that air cooled bikes could overheat if they had to stop for any significant length of time. Lane splitting is just dumb, and you're risking your life doing it.
@@jasonbrannen7598 While I agree that lane splitting while going faster than traffic is dangerous and would disqualify any legal advantage given by lane splitting, everything else you have said is wrong. Tons of decades long studies have been done about lane splitting in the US, Europe, Japan, and Australia, almost all found lane splitting to be far more safe for both motorcyclists and cars. As far as improper use of a signal you are dead wrong, the motor vehicle codes in every state clearly define failure to signal as an at fault mistake, some people have not been held to account historically due to lack of proof/dash cams, but more and more these people are being found at fault both legally and by insurance due to heavily increased use of dashcams nationwide. All in all the motorcycle was maybe a little in the wrong, but the car is mostly at fault if anything had happened.
@@smashdioconnel1960 bullshit man. Many people have thought they were in the right because another driver didn't use a signal properly only to be found 100% at fault. My brother even got into a wreck where someone turned left in front of him, and they claimed he was speeding...cop told them it didn't even matter if he was, they still had to yield to him.
@@jasonbrannen7598 Sounds like you have a shitty lawyer or no dashcam, I don't know what people you've been seeing/talking to that had an insurance company find them at fault for someone else's failure to signal but there are hundreds of examples of people being found at fault for failure to signal on this channel alone. You could also ask a lawyer who would tell you that cop is an idiot and as long as you have proof of the failure to signal the other person is at fault.

I was doing about 65 on the highway on my motorcycle. A big box truck wasn't paying attention. They swerved over into my lane and I had nowhere else to go so I slammed on the brakes ( I don't remember making the decision to do anything, I just reacted) and flipped over the handlebars and broke both my arms. The box truck never stopped and this was after I had been looking into getting a dash cam and thought "I'll never need it." It would have been nice to have one so I could have used him for changing my life forever. Someone stopped and helped me but I couldn't even think straight so I didn't think about asking for their contact info or if they saw anything.
I feel sorry for you thats just horrible. This is why complete surveillance is honestly better than none at all.
Yeah the privacy concerns and all that and the fears. But nobody could ever get away with doing stuff like this and get away with it again.
