The 1996 Internet Communications Act protects and classifies these tech companies as platforms, who arent responsible/liable for the content found on their sites. The act goes on to say that the platforms, in good faith, are allowed by law to censor or take down any content they deem inappropriate. Its time to reform the 1996 act and repeal the protections these platforms enjoy and classify them as a publisher so we can have justice against the censorship of free speech.
