      That’d probably be a whole arc…because there’d be the whole debate of “do we return one of the most famous allosaurus skeletons, or do we reveal our time travel technology and private prehistoric sanctuary?” Before coming to a conclusion (probably returning Big Al and getting a new Allo)

    • @fabiomorandi3585
      @fabiomorandi3585 Před rokem

      @@WorldWeave Nigel would've had to be extremely lucky just for the accident to happen, and there's no guarantee Big Al's life would go down the same path if he was returned to his time, meaning no guarantee he'd die in a dry riverbed and fossilize.

    • @piecheese1214
      @piecheese1214 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I mean, in reality, a paradox like that would result in nobody remembering Big Al's skeleton was there in the first place. Because if Big Al never died, or at least never fossilized, his bones would never have been discovered, so they never would have been in the museum, so nobody would notice anything wrong.

    -Prehistoric Park: decides to start a prehistoric park, self-explanatory
    -Forgotten Bloodlines: Maybe decided to stay for a while during Miocene segment of Sea Monsters, or went back in time again

    Incredible interview and video, It’s funny I was watching the whole collection of those chased by dinosaurs on a dvd I had gotten 15 years ago, and now this interview gets recommended to me now. It’s nice to see Nigel still being a presenter on tv with new wildlife shows. I remember writing an essay about him in middle school.

    27:38 The fire-breathing Parasaurolophus was an idea created by a young earth creationist named Duane Gish. The book the illustration is from is called "Dinosaur by Design". I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian household and we owned a copy.

    I grew up watching prehistoric park and absolutely fell in love with the way Nigel presented it, treating it as if he's doing a serious wildlife documentary and still having the awe and wonder of these animals. it had such a huge impact on me that now 15 years later im studying paleontology at university

    God when I was a kid I used to think he could travel back in time. He really made my childhood with his shoes like Prehistoric Park and land of giant claw. I STILL WANT TO KNOW HOW HE SURVIVED THE MORSOAURS!

    I should probably show this video to my grandpa, although i doubt he'll be able to understand what's being said; we're from México

    So earlier this year, Netflix (the bastards!) booted all the Walking With... stuff and its spin-offs that were on there and in the run-up to that, I decided to give it one last hurrah and watch all of them again just to stick it to Netflix. The last few ones, I got around to watching with my grandparents at dinnertime. My grandparents were convinced. I think they believed it was real because they were asking me if what Nigel was doing was real. I had to explain the concept of CGI to them and a quick run-down on how they filmed all that but it was nice to know that even 20 odd years later, that beloved franchise was still able to astonish people like that!
    The man is a literal living legend and it must've been an unimaginable privilege to be able to interview him for nearly 40 minutes! This interview wasn't filled with ramble, which can always be a real concern, it felt like a catch-up between professionals, old friends and idol (for lack of a better term) and fan! Also, he's in a Minecraft production?! How did I not know about this? I gotta look into that!
    This is a brilliant interview and I enjoyed it!

    I'm proud to say that my dad knew Nigel Marven from being the camera man for a documentary in Barrow Island (Australia). It's funny cause I was a big fan of Nigel Marven before he even told me as a kid.

    This is awesome. I remember first watching Marvin’s Wild Wild World with my family as a kid. That had to be like 20 years ago or so, far before the prehistoric shows he later did. Loved his enthusiasm for natural history and wildlife. I was interested in all that back then.. and I still am to this day. 😌 Thanks for the memories and inspiration, Marvin! Really takes me back to some good times. Great interview too, Beaver!
