I can't believe it, this man was my whole childhood. Absolute legend
Mine to
He is the embodiment of everyone’s childhood :,)
Same pure nostalgia
Same here I’ve rewatched the same Netflix video of Nigel like 50 times
Um, did I see you on the train on my nostalgia trip?
“We got a Nigel Marvin for an interview”
Park Keeper Bob voice: “I don’t believe it!”
Somebody get this man the medal of Honor.

*"This* is Nigel Marven. He's a zoologist, and an expert at tackling dangerous animals."
I love this so much. So interesting to hear from him
@@rorokidul4929 U got rejected bro.

Another jojo fan, hola
Yeet
i see the lord is here
The fact that Nigel remembers such specific details about Prehistoric Park and his other Prehistoric shows really shows how much he cares about them. What an incredible man.
Beaver has met James Kirkland, Jeff Goldblum, AND Nigel Marvin in person! Officially the luckiest man alive 😭😭😭
@@rorokidul4929 no Virtual Dating here, This is an interview of a Dinosaur Documentary
Wow you watch gamingbeaver? I like you videos even though I would not like to say too much cause it is off topic
all he needs to interview is Tim Hanies and ask when is primeval coming back
Just listening to Nigel’s voice again makes me feel like a time traveller lol. Great to see him again!
I know! i wish to meet Nigel eventually even if it’s through video but real life would be even better
He’s my absolute Childhood
34:27 I'm speechless, this is an honour.
Thank God for your question was amazing
you made it
Hopefully someone jumps on the opportunity!
Yeah! Many of us had that question
I know what you mean, made my day too.
Personally, I'd have loved if in a Prehistoric Park episode he had ended up saving a very young allosaur by chance and the morning after Bob had brought him a newspaper reporting the vanishing of Big Al's skeleton from his museum in Utah.
Oh my stars that'd be crazy having Big Al in the park
That’d probably be a whole arc…because there’d be the whole debate of “do we return one of the most famous allosaurus skeletons, or do we reveal our time travel technology and private prehistoric sanctuary?” Before coming to a conclusion (probably returning Big Al and getting a new Allo)
@@WorldWeave Nigel would've had to be extremely lucky just for the accident to happen, and there's no guarantee Big Al's life would go down the same path if he was returned to his time, meaning no guarantee he'd die in a dry riverbed and fossilize.
I mean, in reality, a paradox like that would result in nobody remembering Big Al's skeleton was there in the first place. Because if Big Al never died, or at least never fossilized, his bones would never have been discovered, so they never would have been in the museum, so nobody would notice anything wrong.
Hot damn Nigel was the entirety of my childhood

I loved when he made a cameo in Primeval Season 3 playing himself. That was the best crossover ever!
I might have to rewatch all of his documentaries again.
I know!!! I feel like that’s not nearly talked about enough
Nigel is the whole reason I wanted to become a paleontologist, I idolized him in my childhood, and to see you interview him now makes me happy.
I still have my dvd of Prehistoric Park and Chased by Dinosaurs that I grew up with. I loved watching Nigel back then this is so epic to see

I never clicked a gaming beaver so fast. Nigel really filled in the gap of a nature presenter after Steve Irwin passed away that I needed as an animal nerd kid (and adult now) prehistoric park is still my all time favorite prehistory documentary
Prehistoric Park best show ever. He's a legend. Such a shame it never got a 2nd season.
It was such a shame NONE of the walking with trilogy series and prehistoric Park didn’t get renewed too!
@@superdinotv3298 while shows like Planet Dinosaur were okay, they felt more like specifically educational shows akin to something like Deadly 60. Lots of recycled animations kind of took me out of that particular show with me being older and more aware of animation techniques.
Walking with Dinosaurs still holds up today outside of its palaeontological inaccuracies.
@@michaelredford5389 yeah, let’s hope when Nigel Marven does another time traveling documentary, let’s hope it is a remake but they still use animatronics and actual places to film unlike today’s dinosaur documentaries.
Oh and hope they don’t recycle animation.
It really brought me joy to hear Nigel talk about Steve Irwin without being asked. They made my entire childhood, I love those men and I am really glad James had had these opportunities to talk with our idols.
Oh man Nigel Marven, this man was right up there with Steve Irwin and Jeff Corwin for me. I loved the Prehistoric Park series and I was so mad when it ended and wished it had more episodes when I was a kid lol.
I forgot about Jeff corwin but yeah he was good to and also Jack Hanna
HOLY CRAP JEFF CORWIN
He was the Ryan Reynolds of animal documentaries
I really miss Jeff Corwins shows. He had the best sense of humor for a wildlife show host
Seeing Beaver grow and interview famous people....People who have been the childhood of kids and are loved is just so heartwarming. Keep up the good work!
Hello there multi :troll:
This is of topic but I have the same profile image, what does that mean?
I loved listened to Nigel's voice again since years, he's the best, an entire legend
wild central america only came out in 2020
It's so nice seeing Mr. Marven again. I loved his documentaries when I was younger and still do today. His presentation was just so amazing and he carried the shows he was in just as much as the creatures did. Really the perfect choice for the leading role in all those series.
I’ve watching Nigel Marven since I was a little 6 years old and I still find him so entertaining and fun to watch
So happy about this crossover type thing,
Nigel Marven is awesome
I was 5!!!
Watching prehistoric park at night is one of the best childhood memories I have. It was so awesome. I remember being so excited for every episode. Cause they came out week after week.
It's amazing you were able to meet the one and only Nigel Marven! Awesome interview! Came out great.
And then being terrified that a sea scorpion would come and bite you like it did to Nigel
Same. I remember the episodes dropped when it was on my bed time and I had to convince my parents that the show was good enough that I had to stay up and watch it. Good times
John cena watches nigel marvin! Thats awesome!

My mom and dad showed me a walking with dinosaurs and i watched every part in 1 day, i was 4 at that time, i roleplayed like him, and we had a forest that looked like a prehistoric forest, i always called it the t rex forest. Nigel, you are an absolute legend.
I loved the mystery solving aspect of Chased by Dinosaurs. The reveal of how the largest hunters took on the largest prey, and the dinosaur with the largest claw based on the newest discoveries at the time were great. I think the new Spinosaurus papers just warrants an episode like that to show the true nature of the spino or some other dinosaur that has changed recently. It's a shame there were only 2 episodes of cbd.
The spinosaurus episode has to be refilmed and edited every year to account for the new papers released all the time
Nigel has always been my hero. Prehistoric park was amazing and primeval is my favourite show
Primeval is a criminally underrated show.
You said it
This is fantastic. So great to see Nigel's still alive and well and doing what he does best!
are you the same guy that always comments on Turin's lizardmen videos
@@gabsaurus9146 There's a few who do that, but I am indeed one of them.
Dude, you are so lucky. I loved Nigel in chased by dinosaurs and sea monsters, my favourite series they did in walking with dinosaurs and seeing him swimming with the Basilosaurus and Liopleurodon. Happy that you were given the chance to do this.
Also I would have loved to see him swim with a Spinosaurus
this was just heart warming to watch, it's adorable how he still looks back at these events with such fondness
LEGEND WITH ANOTHER LEGEND! Both you men are/were basically my childhood, Nigel carries so much weight and honestly can’t thank him enough for what he has done. Same goes to you Beaver! He not only explored dinosaurs, but also fueled my and many others imagination even more!
Can’t wait to hear him in Prehistoric Kingdom, glad to see Nigel Marvin back. A hero in our hearts ❤️🔥 and a great man!
My bloody childhood!!!! I cried when he died in Primeval and still have a copy of his Walking with Dinosaurs specials and who can forget Prehistoric Park?
It's so wholesome seeing this. Love you James, and love Nigel. This interview was great. Thanks for this James.
I honestly, couldn’t stop smiling the whole time watching this video. Knowing how unbelievably amazing this is.
He was my inspiration for dinosaur/animal science and exploration. I love him so much, had a huge impact on me.
3:46, that was a good show, Primeval! JURASSIC PARK meets Doctor Who meets James Bond.
I’m speechless, this is the best crossover in history XD
Nigel literally was my childhood I would watch him so much as a child and seeing this made my day. :)
My entire childhood I thought he was a real time traveler. I am sure, he still is (It's a joke) !!! Thank you beaver, for this interview. That got me back to my childhood.
Lol
Every day I hope in my heart that Nintendo has a team working on a new Fossil Fighters game cuz I would love the gaming beaver to cover it because I mean it's literally it has pretty much everything he's looking for for a dinosaur game!!!
Nigel Marven paleo-chronology:
-Cameo in Primeval, apparently killed by Giganotosaurus but I (and many other people) like to think they escaped
-Escaped into prehistoric times, Land of Giants/Giant Claw takes place
-Sea Monsters takes place: at the end, rescued from Mosasaurs by Deux Ex Machima lol
-Prehistoric Park: decides to start a prehistoric park, self-explanatory
-Forgotten Bloodlines: Maybe decided to stay for a while during Miocene segment of Sea Monsters, or went back in time again
-Guest at Prehistoric Kingdom (game: voiceovers etc)
This man Nigel marven is my favorite television wildlife host . Thanks Mr James Beaver for interviewing this legend and posting the video of the same in your channel . Utterly grateful to see him after such a long time. My most favorite shows were ten deadliest snakes with Nigel marven and prehistoric park . Thank you once again Mr Beaver . I was very excited when I saw the notification of this video , as I am a subscriber of yours . Love from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Prehistoric Park, Chased by Dinosaurs/Sea Monster, Primeval, this man was my childhood hero.💚
The first time I've heard Nigel in English. What a fucken legend, my childhood in one man.
I’m having serious flashbacks right now, now I need to rewatch all of his shows
Thank you Nigel Marven for my fascination with prehistoric animals.
I'm glad he's still alive because I watched prehistoric park when I was 7 years old and he help me to know all the prehistoric animals
Oh the memories man I just remember watching all his dinosaur shows they were just the best
*"...And **_Sea Monsters_** was seventeen years ago now."*
_Thanks for making me feel old, Nigel. Love ya._
I hope Nigel Marven understands how much of a hero he is to me and other dinosaur fans. I have specific memories of my mom bringing home a DVD of Chased by Dinosaurs and the Sea Monsters special, and he really made you feel like you were there with him, seeing these dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. His real experience with living animals is also impressive, and you have to admire the guy for really caring about conservation and making the case for preserving endangered species, because those are important causes and those animals deserve to survive. What an absolute hero.
This man is my childhood hero, I have a signed postcard from him from when i was a little kid. It's one of my most treasured possessions.
Two very massive aspects of my childhood in one video, im absolutely swarmed by the Nostalgia
Was not expecting Nigel Marven to be here. I've watched all of his walking with dinosaurs documentary's and he's the main reason for that I love studying Paleontology.
I'm 20 and I have to say this is the greatest interview I have ever watched.
I'm crying tears of joy seeing my two favorite dinosaur enthusiasts get together for a wee chat. Cheers!!
I love Nigel Marvin, I've only seen him in the walking with dinosaurs specials, but he was brilliant in those. And it's extraordinary that he's still doing it
Amazing, been such a fan for years and so great to see Nigel again! Love u beavs!
Seeing that man brings a tear to my eye.
This guy was my complete childhood! I first saw Nigel Marvin in Prehistoric Park, my all time favourite episode was A Mammoth Undertaking because I loved mammoths and I came to grew up to love Martha each time I watched the whole series. Thank you Nigel Marvin for making my childhood about prehistoric animals a epic one!
I am having so much nostalgia rn i remember watching the walking with dinosaurs specials when i was a kid and he's one of the people who inspired me to want to be a zoologist I learnt so much from that show.
Big up for this one, Nigel has barely aged it seems
Awsome interview Beaver, Nigel was my whole childhood, wish he’d do more dinosaurs programs in the future! Great work you’re very lucky to meet a legend!
I've had this huge smile on my face while watching the interview. Nigel is such a kind soul. Great interview!
i'm from Guatemala, so i was shocked when he said he's been here!
it is such an honor that one of the great people that inspired me to become a paleontologist knows my country.
Legendary doesn’t even begin to describe this. So happy for you dude! This is amazing 👏.
This had me smiling the whole way through, amazing vid. Man was such an inspiration on me as a little kid, glad to see him still so passionate about walking with dinosaurs and prehistoric park.
Snorkeling with a spinosaurus…. Oh Nigel
Amazing to see hes survived the time travel from prehistoric park!! On a serious note what a legend and to hear some brief stories of his is fantastic, and thankyou @gamingbeaver for bring back some childhood memories of an awesome presenter with my fantasy of real life dinos! 👍🦖🦕
Love your interview with Nigel! This guy is my hero, he is the reason I'm interested in the natural world. It started with the dinosaur shows for me and that led me to watching most of his other films, from Giants and Jaguar Adventure to Ten Deadliest Snakes and Wild Philippines. I love his work.
I've watched some of your videos before now, but I literally subscribed to your channel because of this video. Nigel Marvin was and remains my absolute hero. This was the most awesome thing I've seen on CZcams in years. Thank you, Gaming Beaver, for getting some more Nigel content out there!!!! Best interview ever!

OH MY GOD YOU GOT TO INTERVIEW NIGEL MARVEN!?
0:20 “You are the 3rd European Beaver I’ve meet in a month”
I absolutely admired this guy and his TV shows, especially the gigantosaurus fight, his little primeval cameo etc.
Gosh it was absolutely beautiful to hear from him and his experiences! Nigel was and still is such an inspiration to me. Growing up I would watch his shows on repeat all the time. I’m so thankful. A year or two ago I stumbled upon his Instagram account and I didn’t think it was actually him, like I though it was a fan account or something. So I asked in the comments section and the very next day he replied saying yes indeed it was! And I realized it really was him. So yknow I teared up a bit. Thank you Beaver for this awesome interview, it really made my day and touched my heart as I’m sure it did others!
Incredible interview and video, It’s funny I was watching the whole collection of those chased by dinosaurs on a dvd I had gotten 15 years ago, and now this interview gets recommended to me now. It’s nice to see Nigel still being a presenter on tv with new wildlife shows. I remember writing an essay about him in middle school.
27:38 The fire-breathing Parasaurolophus was an idea created by a young earth creationist named Duane Gish. The book the illustration is from is called "Dinosaur by Design". I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian household and we owned a copy.
It's so lucky that beaver gets to talk to Nigel Marven he's an absolute legend
This is so cool. He was a really huge part of my childhood. I use to watch prehistoric park and everything else he was in and seeing him again in this video after so long was definitely a huge excitement.
I grew up watching prehistoric park and absolutely fell in love with the way Nigel presented it, treating it as if he's doing a serious wildlife documentary and still having the awe and wonder of these animals. it had such a huge impact on me that now 15 years later im studying paleontology at university
God when I was a kid I used to think he could travel back in time. He really made my childhood with his shoes like Prehistoric Park and land of giant claw. I STILL WANT TO KNOW HOW HE SURVIVED THE MORSOAURS!
Wow, i remember my grandpa used to play these documentaries/films for me when i was like seven years old. This man was my hero
I should probably show this video to my grandpa, although i doubt he'll be able to understand what's being said; we're from México
So earlier this year, Netflix (the bastards!) booted all the Walking With... stuff and its spin-offs that were on there and in the run-up to that, I decided to give it one last hurrah and watch all of them again just to stick it to Netflix. The last few ones, I got around to watching with my grandparents at dinnertime. My grandparents were convinced. I think they believed it was real because they were asking me if what Nigel was doing was real. I had to explain the concept of CGI to them and a quick run-down on how they filmed all that but it was nice to know that even 20 odd years later, that beloved franchise was still able to astonish people like that!
The man is a literal living legend and it must've been an unimaginable privilege to be able to interview him for nearly 40 minutes! This interview wasn't filled with ramble, which can always be a real concern, it felt like a catch-up between professionals, old friends and idol (for lack of a better term) and fan! Also, he's in a Minecraft production?! How did I not know about this? I gotta look into that!
This is a brilliant interview and I enjoyed it!
I'm proud to say that my dad knew Nigel Marven from being the camera man for a documentary in Barrow Island (Australia). It's funny cause I was a big fan of Nigel Marven before he even told me as a kid.
I was so hooked on his programmes growing up. What an interesting interview 👏
This is great James! Keep up the great content!!
*ABSOLUTE LEGEND HE WAS ! I CUT-CLASS JUST TO WATCH HIS PREHISTORIC PARK AND READ DOZENS OF PREHISTORIC BOOKS !*
I dont think i was around to enjoy nigels content, but he seems really inspirational and a part of everyones childhood. I enjoyed watching this video and learning about all that
This was amazing. You should definitely do more interviews.
Love Nigel Marvin!! I wish he would go back in time for another crazy adventure!
greatest youtube inspiration from my childhood and the best tv sensation from my childhood, pure greatness.
Wow, my favorite CZcamsr meeting with one of my childhood idols. James and Nigel, you guys made my day. I'm awe struck to see this video and I recently watched Prehistoric Park. This was an awesome video, stay safe Nigel and James and hope you both have an amazing day. Glad to know you survived the Mosasaur family as well.
This man is my favorite I watched all his shows and everything he's amazing
I remember watching Nigel tell us about a Megladon and putting a tracker on it, I loved his prehistoric shows and he is what made me love Megaladon 😊👍
This is awesome. I remember first watching Marvin’s Wild Wild World with my family as a kid. That had to be like 20 years ago or so, far before the prehistoric shows he later did. Loved his enthusiasm for natural history and wildlife. I was interested in all that back then.. and I still am to this day. 😌 Thanks for the memories and inspiration, Marvin! Really takes me back to some good times. Great interview too, Beaver!
11:37 Well I had some thoughts of him being involved with the dino clones in my "Robertverse". In the Chased By Dinosaurs/Sea Monsters/Prehistoric Park type of tones and vibes.
Gonna sound weird… but I’d love to see this awesome man make a cameo in Dominion. He’s our paleo-hero!
Its not weird but Nigel would probably outshine Sam Neil since he is an actual wildlife wrangler.
@@wikansaktianto9215 don’t think so because not everyone knows Nigel as well as they know Dr. Grant.
