    Great Video, Thank you. Let me ask. What brand fishing line do you use in the reel? I see it is White. Thank you

    Have you tested how much hollow core 200lb line really fits on this reel?

    Hello, good morning, ask if the Penn 50visx has 130 lb braid, how many pounds should I use the monofilament?

    Hey John do you feel like these reels would be in direct competition with Avet EX50 series or more closely compete with Avet TREX 50? All great reels made in America, so Im now looking hard at the Penns again. Great, honest and trustworthy video, as usual.

      The VISX is best under the atd, I think there better than even atds. Ex is a good start to big game, but not best.

    I wonder if penn has inserts so that you can remove the harness lugs now? I have a 30 and want the lugs gone….

      Yes, the reel comes with the "lugs" on the reel, and the "plugs" inside the box. Many people don't realize what they are and just toss them.

    I have always been a huge fan of PENN rods but never tried their reels. If I can afford their international series and the Shimano 50 2 speed, which one shall I pick up?

      Penn internationals are the best reels bar none. I had a Tiagra 50W fail on me after only 2 big fish. The Shimano TLD 50 is a good reel and only half the price of the International because its a graphite frame. Save up for the Penn. They are reels for life.

    1000 yards? Yikes! Really don't think I would want to be 1000 yards away from any fish.

    • @fieshyfish
      @fieshyfish Před 3 lety +1

      You won't be. If you fly a kite 1000 yrds out, your not smart. You fly it out 100-200yrds out and the rest is fighting capacity.

    • @fieshyfish
      @fieshyfish Před 3 lety

      You will only use like 400 yrds at most. The more the better, if you have little you will get spooled.
