This ride was one that made Chessington what it was for all those years and was a huge part of my childhood. Remember riding the very last day it was open and felt like the end of a era. Gutted it closed to be replaced by the Gruffaloo but the soundtrack is as legendary now as it was the first time I rode it . Maybe one day it will make a comeback

This was my childhood with tge old buble works with professor burb and the cola coater also with the fartomter how i miss this ride even though the ducks took over 2006 it was still an amazing dark ride and still miss it to this and all have is this amazing soundtrack to remind us of good memories that this ride gave us

this is my open poll to bring bubble works back
I thought Bubbleworks was rundown,dull and lost it's sweet scent in it's final year's,however this catchy song never deteriorated. In my opinion the three elements that were great till the end were the floating cow,The Fountain Finale and definitely this song that too this day instantly reminds me of Chessington World Of Adventures.

They closed it down cause the creator of bubble works wanted more money so he remade bubble works into the guffalo river ride adventure, if he wasn’t greedy, bubbleworks would still be here

Loved this ride. Got stuck on it with some family once and had this stuck in my head for weeks afterwards.

This ride really made me understand what about nostalgia is so emotional and addictive as whole, and I think what it is, is that many things like bubbleworks just have a theme and an unapologetic charm about them which is so full of life and is so magical, regardless of age.
You find yourself really getting immersed into the emotion it invokes, until you snap back to reality. Knowing this is what i missed out on and instead I get absolutely nothing, no emotion or life in 99% of everything, it leaves you sombre and empty, for me its very much like being at a funeral.
Its sad really, but as ive grown up ive learned to simply appreciate the memory/idea.
its funny, when i was young i had the opportunity to get on the ride around late 2000s to early 2010s (during the imperial leather period) but i was really nervous and i REALLY needed to go toilet so the best i ever got was the queue inside the building where you can see the ride and stuff and hear the music... God definitely does not fancy me very much.
I cried and I only went on it once and all I remember was the cow, the fountains and the rubber duckie grabber ;(
The moss machine used this in his first ever video I believe
My childhood was spent on this ride. It's awful to think it's gone. I could never go back there now.

It’s a shame the music was only used for the theme park it would have been brilliant if they had it on cd and iTunes but because it came out before technology existed.

This was my favourite ride as a kid. I loved it since I was 6. Never got to ride the soap version.

I would have LOVED to have shown my niece this ride. Gruf is alright but it doesn't feel like a "place", if that makes sense. Original bub was magic.

Ahh the memories.
It all seemed to start going wrong when they revamped the ride and it was branded/sponsored by that soap brand.
And yet despite the increased revenue, they let the ride fall apart, such a shame.

Guys, looking on the bright side there are still 2 of 3 fountains and also, vampire never got closed and I almost forgot to mention, the original queue line for vampire is now the fastrack queue!!!!

Prof. Burp's was the 2nd best dark-ride in the world. Shame it's different now! Never got to ride the original because it fitted perfectly with Transylvania!
This ride back in the 1990-2000 was much better I remember some of the old effects like the band at the end, the dog, the cow and the fruit. Also all the original of this guys work was incredible just like from the cartoons before imperial leather made a lot of changes to the ride that disappointed fans yeah but they had to update I know it should not have happened but it was their decision at the time. I cannot wait to ride the Gruffalo hopefully as this music soundtrack from each theme will be playing in my head missed the good old days.
