- The iconic soundtrack from Bubbleworks at Chessington World of Adventures, which was a dark ride taking riders through various different scenes before a fountain finale. This music was composed by Graham Smart.
Bubbleworks originally opened at Chessington in 1990 and was called Professor Burp's Bubbleworks. The ride was refurbished and reopened in 2006 with an Imperial Leather sponsorship, where the ride's original appeal and charm was lost.
There were plans to restore Bubbleworks to its former glory, however these have been shelved in favour of an IP sponsorship which you will see on the ride in 2017.
Some facts about Bubbleworks:
- Professor Burp's Bubbleworks was designed by John Wardley
- 32,000,000 riders have experienced Bubbleworks over the years
- 2,000,000 galleons of water were recycled per day on the ride
- The original ride had over 60 anamatronics - the Imperial Leather retheme saw the majority of these removed or made static.

well I know that one of the reasons they closed the ride was because I think in 2012 it had a fire and they didn't get to repair it and then it got worn out apparently🙅 I miss.the ride so MUCH!!!!

I really don't know what chessington are thinking. This ride was so popular. It's as if Merlin are just in it for £ and adverts and don't even care anymore. What made the bubbleworks unique was the story that was being told. If it is the Gruffalo what story is there and how does it link with Transylvania? Other than that thanks for uploading :)
They're actually getting rid of Transylvania. The area is now called Wild Wood. Check out the Gruffalo advert. It seems that the area is changing A LOT.
For what Chessington has decided, it's certainly not wise for them to do at all.
