A cute little detail during KK Slider concerts: villagers bring out light sticks for certain songs. Pressing A will let you clap along to the song, but if you happen to be holding a light stick of your own, you can do a coordinated wave with your villagers!
Also you can react while you are in a Kapp'n trip! with A you clap, with X is laugh and with Y is surprise!

I never got to play wild world, so while I knew about Tortimer, I had no idea about Cornimer, first time I saw him was at night and he was genuinely terrifying and confused me for a moment.

I played wild world and I had flash backs of being a terrified child. It was awesome

Something I discovered is that if you have Happy Home Paradise and have previously purchased the Pro Decorating License, Tom Nook will refund 2,500 miles to you because Lottie says she wants to cover the cost of that.
I love this feature so much, they put so much thought into the DLC :)

The storage shed and Cyrus has been an absolute game changer. Even while inside your home, slapping the shed down to put away and take things is like storage speedrunning.
At first I thought Cyrus only customized the nook mile items because most people were yelling about finally changing their lighthouses, but OMG I have just been dragging everything ive owned for the last year over to him.
Some of this stuff I've been sighing, wishing they were alt colors for the last year. (Stuff I never bothered cataloguing from friends because they are absurdly expensive items and I didn't want to rebuy them. Problem solved now! 200k bell items repainted for 5k, completely worth the wait)
Wait, you can customize items you can buy with nook miles tickets now, I can finally have the better looking anything-but-red-airport teacup ride

I FINALLY have a white kitchen island, my life has been changed forever.
If you have friends over at the roost, and one of them doesn't have enough bells for a cup of coffee, Brewster will give them a glass of water instead, lol

same, I really hated it when I first found a character that had moved out and they didn't remember me :'(
Unfortunately on the dlc they won't remember you either which made me sad because I had 3 of my past villagers but they never said anything about remembering me but oh well. Maybe they remember but just don't need to mention it since they are always friends.. 😭
also note for the star fragment island; there’ll be shooting stars you can wish on as well so you’ll have star fragments on your own beach the next morning!
Does it have to be night on your island when you go in order to end up on the Star Island? Or will it just be night when you get there?
@@a_watsonnl494 it wasn't for me :) i went in the afternoon and as Kapp'ns boat approached the island the sky got darker.. so that's also a hint you got the star island!
@@a_watsonnl494 . No. It was daytime when I left my island on Kapp'n's boat. The sky quickly changed to night b4 the boat landed.
I found it nice to be able to put diy recepies IN YOUR STORAGE

I literally made a second character and fully upgraded the house just to store all of those DIYs on every floor. Having them in storage means I can finally start putting down furniture again.
Yes! My basement is finally clear to decorate!
I swear all we need now is mass crafting, mass buying, and the ability to just craft things directly when in your house without having to go into your storage first
I want the ability to change the weather so you can give a tour of your island in the weather you prefer.
@@mikomiyaa I think it would make sense to be able to have more customization options for your island in regards to your dream address. But I wouldn’t want to have weather control as a feature for the actual island.

I really want the abbility to change the room sizes in your own house once it's fully upgraded. And I'd love to see a wand update where it can also change the hair style, colour and so on for certain outfits. That's all I want
When Katrina said my health would have good fortune, food gave me more energy. One coconut gave me 2 energy. I accidentally broke a rock I didn't want to .-.

I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but I discovered last night that the Dream Suite in ACNH now allows you to search by island name! I’m assuming it was added in v2.0, or sometime recently.

I found out that if you find the Brewster island again, if its raining, you will not only find a gyroid fragment but also an entire gyroid! So you get TWO that day! Hope this helps!

I wanna mention this, cause it wasn't in the Leif part of the video. His weed removal service is actually cheeper if he's visiting your island. It's 100,000 on Harv's island, and while I don't know for sure how much it is on your own, it's significantly less. Though that only applies when he's visiting.
My favorite Katrina thing I’ve discovered - she told me my health would diminish. I decided not to purify myself and I kept falling over when I ran. Hilarious

The installation of an ABD on Harv's island was a nice touch.
I can’t even explain how game changing it is to have tortimer right next to Cyrus, I keep filling up my entire inventory and a ton of money and changing all my items to all the other colors so I can just catalog everything. It’s so awesome I practically have every item but far from every style and this is a much cheaper way to have a full catalog
I don't know if anybody else has mentioned this one, or if this is already common knowledge: but when I started the game this morning, Isabelle actually informed me CJ was in the island during the morning announcement! So I'm guessing she'll be doing this for when other NPCs come to your island?? (idk I don't time travel that much) Anyway yeah, this is def one of my favorite mini additions to the game! Saves time running around checking who's visiting on that day!
she does do this with npc's now! she did it to me with labelle and with kk slider :)

Actually, they don't completely forget you. If they move to the island of a local friend, they actually mention you and even remember you if you go and visit them.
Omg I didn’t know about the friendship blessings would help. I’m so excited about that. Now I can finally get Bobs photo. Getting Celeste recipes at the star island is so cool. I love my storage shed cause I don’t have to run all the way home to put the stuff away. This is the best update.

@Robert Ritchie idk about the double thing but even being on max friendship level with villagers doesn’t guarantee getting their photo because the chance of them giving you their photo is pretty low, so you may have to gift them many times before getting your hands on their photo. for example i had been bffs with kid cat with MONTHS and giving him gifts nearly every day before finally getting his photo

Okay so something that i'm very happy about is how you can actually exchange poki for bells! I haven't seen anybody talking about it, but after 20 homes there will be an abd at the paradise planning center where you can exchange poki for bells and viceversa, there is a daily limit tho, which is kind of annoying :/

The DIYs you pick up on Kappn's island tours correspond to the particular theme of the island you visit. As with star fragments, if you get a crop island (carrots, potatoes, etc.), you'll get a recipe.
Same goes for cherry blossoms, snowflakes (snow-covered island), summer seashells, and so forth. If you're lucky, you'll get the glowing moss island to obtain the new materials and DIYs.
Also, you only need one storage shed set up on your island, as your friends can access their own storage with the same storage shed.
I really appreciate how much value these updates and changes have given bells and nook miles again. I had all of these nm and bells stored away but it felt meaningless because there wasnt much of anything I really wanted to spend those on... now there's so much available!! The game feels so alive again, I can't wait to get back into playing the stalk market and getting excited about Flick coming in.
Kinda mad about the decrease in price of moving homes cuz I literally just moved 8/10 of my villager homes the day before the update dropped 💀😤😭

This probably isn't a Small Detail but I was so relieved when I saw that items you buy in HHP with Poki can be bought with bells once you've cataloged them! Now if only I'd figured that out yesterday when there was a cactus for sale lol. At least I got the cute park-area looking tree (Evergreen ash) and now I know I can order more :D
Dont know if this has happened to anyone yet but, i love katrina A LOT so i kept going a lot to get my fortune read and one day it was a disaster, she offered to purify me for 10k bells, i said yes, she purified me and the next day she sent me her power stone (her special crystal ball) on the mail. Idk if she can give you more stuff (god i hope she does) cuz i havent had any more disasters imminent yet.

I’m so happy I got the star island. Y’all don’t forget to dig two holes behind you before you start hitting it so you can maximize the number of stars you get!!
So far for mystery islands I've gotten Fall island (has all fall DIY materials and a fall DIY recipe), winter island (has snowflakes and a frozen recipe), and carrot island (has loads of carrots). This update is so good I have found some new detail every time I've played since it came out.
Cyrus is one of the best additions to the game by far, no more do we need to buy specific colours of items from nookazon, did you get the furniture item you want but the wrong colour? Well just go change it, such an amazing quality of life feature

I've only somewhat recently started to watch this channel. But even I noticed how after the update, Ben sounds waaaaaay more upbeat and into the videos.

Not sure if it has been mentioned: I am getting lots of sturgeon every day. Sometimes I catch one, and another comes up right behind it. Also I found a money rock island during Kapp'n Tour. Not as good as the star fragment island, but it was pretty nice.

Did you know that in the dream sweets you can actually find islands by just searching the name of the island and not the code now, it is really helpful!
Don’t recall if this was ever discussed but when you sit at the counter in Brewster’s cafe, You can see their Gyroid collection in the back closet. I’m hoping maybe there will be an update where you can display gyroids in the museum.

I accidentally found the first feature, so no, I didn’t miss it, I invited my Merengue amiibo to the Roost thinking she’d just be a blank slate like all the amiibo villagers when I invite them back, but then she said “Meeting up like this from time to time helps fend off the missing - you blues, shortcake!” And it shocked me

Did you know you can swim in the water around the Paradise island? I couldn’t find anything but it was still cool.
I feel like the weeding service is gonna be extremely convenient for making rock gardens! Being able to plant weeds all over, 9 at a time without moving, instead of the slow mannequin method... and then getting Leif to remove them all!
But won't rocks spawn in the weeds anyway? They do with flowers, if i remember correctly.. /g

Imagine animal crossing but in big online world, kinda like runescape or wow but in animal crossing style, where everyone can have a house, skill like farming, fishing and so on.
You missed 1! When you first enter the Roost, you see 3 photos, the one in the top left corner is K.K. playing in wild world, the one in the top right corner is the Roost in New Leaf, and the one in the bottom is Brewster and Blathers together
Ik we might be missing a lot more, but this one made me really glad to be in to Animal Crossing
The fact that the developers added at these small little details and features is astounding. They truly cared for their fans and took notes really well. Gotta give credit where credit is due and applaud for their extended long work!
One thing I found really helpful is that Isabelle nondirectly tells you who's visiting the island now. It's always so funny :D: Here's what I got today: "By the way, people have been complaining about having purchased a piece of art, only to later find out it's fake. Origin of this seems to be a boat docked on our island. Be careful." XD
Bob's Gang! I found out a couple of nights ago that Wisp can give you one of the brand new items after you help him find his spirits. I got the Dreamy wall rack when I asked him for a new item as my gift for helping him.
So glad to hear this. I've been avoiding wisp because their items were not so great. I'll start playing with them again!
Update: When you buy turnips from Daisy May, she might send you a recipe for using them as a cooking item in the mail the next day. I got a recipe for her grandma's favorite turnip salad in her thank you letter today.
When I did a friendship reading on my friendship with Lucky, I got his photo the next day. I knew I was pretty close to getting it, but going to Katrina I definitely feel boosted me to getting it the following day.
Oh i need to check that with Aurora!

It’s great to have Cyrus back. Not having to rely on RNG or Nookazon to get different colours of furniture is a huge change.
Pitfall seed recipe is now sold in Nooks Cranny. I don’t have online so now I FINALLY have it!
I'm so glad Lief offers to weed your island, that was a QOL service I really wanted and I definitely wasn't expecting something I wanted to actually get in.

1:09- actually two of my villagers were from my friends island. When they introduced themselves they not only mentioned my friends name and his island name but also noted that they first met me there. When my friend came to visit my island, he would go talk to him but especially in that first conversation when they first moved in, they were like "long time no see" and talking about how they missed my friend. So they would remember you but only if you went to the island where they moved to. My friend and i call these two villagers our kids lol
I previously had Chester on my island (I loved him, but it had to be done 🥺). I encountered him as a possible customer in HHP! I was excited, but became sad because he didn’t recognize me or even mention my island at all! I wish they would have added something like that to the DLC. Even if it was a small line of dialogue, it would be wonderful
So glad they still remember you. Unlike the islands (though I guess the mystery your ones are okay in case you need a clean slate version. My punchy won't stop wearing the worst outfits despite isabelles stern words)

I dont know it it was added before the 2.0 update but I was able to store dyi recipes in my storage shed. It made me very happy as I hold recipes for my friends.

I found the Star Island and the glowing moss island at night! Most of my day time ones were on the bland side So I would definitely try at different times of the day :)

I have a question for y'all, because I haven't found the answer anywhere: If I make a vacation home for one of my villagers, after giving them souvenir chocolate, and later on, they move off of my island - will they still be at their vacation home, and will they still remember me? It's nice that they remember you when called at the Roost, but I don't know what to expect with the vacation homes.
I just moved someone out and you can still see them in the vacation home :)

The atm made a big bell trade of mine soo much easier instead of having to fly in and out they just placed an atm down and I used that. There’s so many other things I could go on about, this update is amazing!!

I love the mystery islands I've had a snow one , one with potatoes which was good as at that point I had not unlocked Leif and a spring one it's great for collecting materials

I went to a mushroom island ystrdy!!! Sooo excited as I love mushrooms & course all mush stuff 😋 so that was pretty cool. I hadn't seen anyone get that island yet.
Got a winter island, which was perfect as I was planning on making some frozen items but didn't have the snowflakes to do so. Now I got them without timetraveling, which I find amazing

Honestly this one was so much fun to make, this update has made me fall in love with the game again.
today, katrina told me that i'd have a friendship filled day (or something along those lines) and then dizzy gave me a gift just out of seemingly nowhere as like a thank you for being a snack buddy. so uh, yeah Katrina basically changed the course of my day. i wonder if that would've happened even if i didn't ask for a fortune today.
It happened to me with Chevre just now, Katrina gave me a good friendship fortune today as well. She just stopped me to give me an item.
My first Kapp'n island was an island with bell trees, so that one is def worth if you're short on cash like me :D

I got the star island on my second visit and I was so excited!
The fact that I missed for the first few days that you can buy vehicles on the Nook ATM. Just bought a bulldozer, and saw some other players with cars decorating their islands. Nice that those gas pumps I have in front of Nook's Cranny now make a little more sense.
I too have discovered that Tom Nook cripple down the price when I was relocating Drago! That took me by surprise and it was a big help for me in saving some bells. 😄

I don't know if this is sth new, or if I just haven't noticed it before but my cranky villagers definetly seem more rude to me now (which i love bc it gives them more personality). I definetly had some dialogues I never had before, for example Murphy told me yesterday that he absolutely hated Kikis house, before he started a conversation with Bob, trying to educate him on insulting others. I can't remember these Dialogues being in New Horizons before but it was definetly extremely funny to me and reminded me of earlier games.
i would carry around a diy bench when im decorating an area but now i can just have the storage shed and get things as i need them. the one main thing is i was hoping the abd was another nook stop but its convenient to have near the shops.

Also I hope you and Mori make an important video about the glitch of remodeling your villager’s houses, because it’s definitely important to let everyone know and how it will corrupted their save data and their game entirely.

Another thing about the reduced cost for moving houses, they reduced how much is needed for moving your own house to 8,000. I recently moved mine and was pleasantly surprised. ~Bob's Gang~
So I just discovered that one of the islands in the islands tours is a Cherry Blossom 🌸 Island. You get a recipe using petals and have a chance to collect the petals to build. 🤷♀️ Thought I'd share in case it wasn't known yet.
Quick question: when you open up a kiosk on Harv's island for the vendors (Leif, Redd, Kicks, etc.) do they keep the same items in stock for a week? I'm still opening them up and have the three I mentioned, and both Kicks and Leif have had the same items in stock the past two days.
On the plus side, I took a trip with Kapp'n to an island that gave me wild wheat (Leif only had carrots available), which I dug up, transplanted and harvested. And each rock on that island gave me bells. I felt like I hit the lottery! 😀
Yes, the items will be the same for a week. Found it kinda annoying at first but after all it makes sense🧚🏻

@@ldcraig2006 One cool thing, is that if you buy a piece of art from Redd, he will replace it with a new piece the following day. However, the piece you didn't;t buy will also still be there.
And like the other npc shops, his stock completely resets at the start of each week

@@ldcraig2006 Np! If you have the bells, you could always order some of the fake statues (or duplicates of real ones) to not only cycle through his stock a little faster, but to also use those paintings and statues around your island. Of course, up to you.
You could also buy art so he restocks and then sell any unwanted art.but of course you would have to spend bells every day for something you potentially don't want. All up to you, of course. Just depends on if you want to wait a week for him to restock
Today was the first day since the update that I haven’t just gotten a mystery island that was basically a smaller version of my island, I got the glowing moss island today
I remember when I first starting playing and Bonbon moved onto my sisters island. She always wore the adventure dress I gave her and would talk about me constantly. She moved out at some point, but I'll always love her.
I haven't moved villagers before, but for players who have decided to flatten and totally change up since the update this has got to be super helpful.

I had a villager in my house for about 10 seconds then she left lmao
I moved my villagers around between two switches this was pre-2.0 update, and they remember me whenever I visit them from another island and even comment about "being neighbors again" when I invite them back, they also keep some of the gifts I gave them, but they forget who gave the items prior to moving. And if you meet the same villager from a mystery Island, they wont remember you. And my friend had a villager move to her island and he mentioned that he came from my island, which was pretty neat. So I guess they remember certain things in certain settings.
I love that isabell now tells you what NPC's are on your island each day so you always know, and I love Redd's raffle that he has at harvs island too
