I had started a new island (and wasn't planning to time travel) but I went to all the dates listed just so I could unlock all the islands.... but it didn't work. It's been a few weeks now and I've gotten the maple leaf and mushroom islands a few times now, but none of the other islands that the time travelling was supposed to unlock. The maple and mushroom islands also didn't appear till after they would have naturally been unlocked by the game. did I do something wrong? Was I supposed to travel to dates before and after the dates listed?

My very first Kapp'n Island was a money tree one. I was all set for every island to be that cool. Turns out I just got something very rare on the first shot.
Sometimes the 'normal' islands have Bells in EVERY rock. I've had that once. Not sure if it's an entirely separate island or just a random variation of the normal ones.
Yes! Can confirm that too! I was like darn, just a normal island, I usually don’t hit rocks on islands, but I needed more stones for a recipe so I figured I might as well… and instead of resources I got money haha it was a nice little discovery. But yeah from now on I’m probably always gonna hit rocks on those islands
It was the middle of the day when I landed on star island and was confused and amazed to see it was set at night! It was very cool. And on the boat ride back to my island the sky gradually changed back to daylight. So awesome.
Idk if you guys knew this, but the money tree island can sometimes be mixed with another island. I’ve had that experience twice now I think, where I went to either a crop or a mushroom island and there were two or three money trees added in. It was pretty cool to me 🤷🏽♀️
To be honest, I really want one of these Kapp'n-exclusive islands to be a fruit tree island. Like, you know, a third fruit or fourth fruit for collecting stuffs.
if you don't have all the fruit yet (I'm assuming because you don't have online) you can do a one week free trial of the online and find some people online to swap fruit with.

@@TinaTissue28 i agree about the plain and vine ones. on the plus side theres always a diy, but unfortunately its not a guarantee that you will get something you dont know- which with my luck, i hardly ever get anything new. i love the gyroids and im having fun collecting them, but 1000 miles for a potential duplicate of a diy, and one random gyroid doesnt seem worth it most of the time. its a gamble on what you get, however doing bug catching and fishing can make it a little more worth it due to how frequently they respawn. i actually caught a great white when i hit the summer island, and some of the islands you end up on are flat enough to catch scorpions/tarantulas if youre doing it at the right times.
I got it yesterday. The stars in the rocks were great. I got a recipe for one I already had on the beach. What SUCKED though was that I stayed there forever wishing on the shooting stars and got a whole 22 regular star pieces on my own island the next day. Hope you land on it soon! editing to say there are only 2 rocks on the island.
Yeah star fragment island is awesome, I got it the first time day after my birthday all got all the different fragments except for Capricorn and Leo, which is pretty good and the diy that I got was the Scorpio lamp which was new to me luckily and it looks awesome, I’ll definitely craft it some day. In fact I want to craft all the zodiac items eventually, they all look amazing
not related to the islands, but the dlc: you can get a diy recipe once per day after unlocking the restaurant, and buy snacks and drinks from the cafe and the menu changes daily.
Also, if you talk to the teacher in the school, they will give you a plant start. If you go to the hospital and ask the receptionist to see the doctor, you will get a doctor's appointment and the doctor will give you a treatment: I've gotten a cast, a mummy mask, and a tissue. At the apparel store, you can set up to six mannequins that will have different clothing items on them each day that you can buy.
You can check the island's season in your DIYs! The seasonal items tab will display the items of the island's season as well as the season you're actually in. (you can also tell by the bushes but I can never remember which ones bloom when) I've been to the star fragment island once. I feel like it's not entirely obvious that when you wish upon a star on the island you will find star fragments on your own beach the next day.
I've been to the money island and the star island already. Also pro tip: there is one money rock on each island except for the shooting star island (where they are star fragment rocks) and the money tree island (as all the rocks are money rocks)
Omg the chart for the dates makes so much sense. I started in May right after Mother's day when I got my Switch. And I've gotten Spring Bamboo, Star Frags and Summer Shells. But it makes sense that the game wouldn't want you to experience seasons for the first time on an island and not in the game. Plus it'll assume that since you didn't play at that point that you wouldn't have any of the diys.

It wouldve been rlly cool if nintendo just made official star fragment trees that worked like the money trees where they only harvest once, instead of completely deleting them

i did the same thing eventually decided to just buy all 4 things from nooks cranny every day and place it on the beach to get the lvl up def helped speed up the 3 star process
I can confirm that you can get more than two gyroids on rain island, I've been there three times and on one of those visits I found two fully grown ones as well as the usual shard
Hoping that Nintendo adds small things like new fruit trees, and new recipes with them. Not a major update, but a slow steady stream of small content like they were doing after the initial release. It still mind boggles me that this is the best selling Animal Crossing by a vast amount and their not trying to take advantage of that.
Yesterday I landed on the star fragment island and had NO idea how rare it was, the rocks give you 9 star fragments each and every single star you wish on will make 1 star fragment wash up on your beach the next day. AMAZING. I got at least 1 of each 12(?) different fragments!!!!
The seasonal and money islands are the rarest?! I hit a cherry blossom and summer island one after the other and the money island was my first mystery island, where I found Brewster! I want that Gyroid and Star fragment island more, though. STAR FRAGMENTS, YOU ELUDE ME BUT NOW YOU CAN BE FOUND.
I've been able to discover pretty much all of them: - Normal - Money tree - Crop - Star Fragment - Glowing Moss - Seasonal (cherry blossom, maple leaf, summer seashell, mushroom, snowflake) - Rain (extra gyroid) - One that had vines but not glowing moss - Bamboo
Ok, one thing to point out is on 'Bell Island' as i call it. Hitting the rock also gets you money not just the trees. I also have come across the mable leaf island (Autumn) and Bamboo island (Spring). Only maged to get one island with the vines/glowing moss.
Been to the mushroom island one time, but I had no idea about the star fragment one. Good to know there's a ton for me to still find and I've been playing from the very start.
The first island I went on was the money tree one. Recently I got the stars island. Very cool 😎 I wished on stars and the next morning there were fallen stars on my beach. Loved it.

I'm glad you posted footage of your character finding an island with tomatos and then with sugarcane, all my crop items have been potatoes so I was a bit worried I was stuck with just one crop, it gives me hope to complete my farm
It seems like you can get all kinds on the islands. Leif on Harv's island changes his stock every Monday, so that's another avenue of getting them. I've gotten all but carrots so far ^^

I time travel on occasion myself (since GameCube), but I am so glad that Nintendo implemented an in-game mechanic for non-TT players to get seasonal resources for the cooking recipes without necessitating a paid subscription to be able to trade with online players. ♥️
I've been to every island with a time lock, including the star fragment island - twice - and I started playing on April 20th of last year. As long as you've been playing for 1 year+, you shouldn't have an issue with the islands.

one of my first islands with kapp'n was the star fragment one. i didnt realise at the time how rare it was because i havent found it again since but it blew me away when i hit the rocks and got so many star fragments!!!
I happened upon the star island yesterday! So fun! Keep in mind, when you wish upon shooting stars, you will find them on your beach the next morning. Nice. 🥰

Imagine being a new player & finding money tree island! 🤣 You'd freak out at every 1000 bells! So far I've only done 3 island trips & all were 'normal' islands. I thought my game was broken but now I know there's only a 30% chance of getting a rare island - it makes a lot more sense 😂 Honestly I just really want to find some glowing vines 😊 This feature would have made the game extra fun if it had been there since launch

I've gotten the Fall one with Mushrooms, the Cherry Blossom one, the Summer one, and Winter one for Snowflakes. Also have gotten the bamboo one and an Island with Wheat Crops all over.
I’ve found star frag island twice! Winter island twice, summer island, cherry blossom, all the crops, money tree, loadsssss of glowing moss, raining island, bamboo and plain boring island. I haven’t found shroom island but am so stoked it exists and can’t wait to find!
The fact that some of the Kapp'n Islands are date locked makes me feel bad for people that reset their islands for the 2.0 update. For time travelers it's mildly inconvenient; but for purist they're basically waiting another year.
I've actually been to the starry island! It was great because I'm bad at wishing on stars on my own island, so I was able to get lots of fragments! I think I wished on about 70 stars, but only 20 fragments spawned on my island the next day. 12 spawned when I first loaded up, and another 8 washed ashore later on.

I'd seen the vine three times, the Fall leaf one once and the crop one once... it's a cool concept, but so far I'd felt really unlucky with which ones I draw. At least tomorrow is Monday and the inventory on Harv's island will change. I'm still waiting to get Sugar Cane and Wheat... I'm really limited in the cooking recipes I can do until then. Times like these, I'm so grateful they added Cyrus's customization because it helps make up for the fact I'm not doing any online stuff. Unfortunately I still have a bunch of fruit DIYs I can't make... I'd have hoped this new update would have added back all of the fruit but that doesn't seem to be the case

I've been playing for about two years now and have been to ALL of the special islands except for the raining gyroids island. I've only encountered the money bag island once. The Wishing Star island I've hit twice--it's my favorite!!
I’ve only found one special island so far, it was a summer island so I spent ages there fishing and diving! But I’ve always been super unlucky with island tours, like the nook miles islands which I just stopped travelling to as all I ever got was basic islands with a small handful of special islands, I was obviously like most people off work due to covid when I got this game so played it constantly! So I was super disappointed when I kept hearing about and seeing other people who seem to have way more luck than I did.
I found the maple tree island yesterday and the bamboo tree island last week. The maple tree one had leaves 🍁 to collect, as well as acorns, which I stocked up on. I was happy to find the bamboo island because of the young bamboo pieces and the bamboo shoots. Mostly, though, my islands have been boringly normal. #Bob’sGang
i found summer shells and Star Fragments islands very quick The islands that are different seasons - getting some of the insects and fish from that season is really nice
Ok, I have been playing the game since November but quite steadily. I have found the star fragment island twice - and what was exciting to me, I fished and caught a lot of sharks and other rare fish, dorado e.g. I found the money island twice. I heard another video - I forget where - a person got an island that was a shark island - there bag was full of great white sharks. Loving your videos - hope you are still playing ACNH. 🙂
Hi - I have been to the money tree island when I was there hitting the rocks gave me more bells sadly only one of the rocks did that. I also have been to the star mystery island as well. It’s really fun going to these different islands I’ve also have dug up the different crops and brought them back to my island. I just wish we could make our island bigger to support the newest crops. I’ve had money tree island, pumpkin and potato island twice, a few regular islands, and had maple tree island also. Looks like bushes work like trees do. The only bushes that work are holly bushes, so I’ve been selling the other bushes for some extra bells

When you open the restaurant you can get a recipe from the chef everyday
U can also just find them on the beach everyday after you are given the diy from niko

Ok, one thing to point out is on 'Bell Island' as i call it. Hitting the rock also gets you money not just the trees. I also have come across the mable leaf island (Autumn) and Bamboo island (Spring).
Only maged to get one island with the vines/glowing moss.

Been to the mushroom island one time, but I had no idea about the star fragment one. Good to know there's a ton for me to still find and I've been playing from the very start.
The first island I went on was the money tree one. Recently I got the stars island. Very cool 😎 I wished on stars and the next morning there were fallen stars on my beach. Loved it.
I've seen all the seasonal islands, the star fragment island, moss/vine island, and the money tree island. I love that the sky changes as you approach the special islands as well. I first noticed this for the winter one and it started snowing.
After my fourth trip I got the star fragments island and it helped me a lot
I'm glad you posted footage of your character finding an island with tomatos and then with sugarcane, all my crop items have been potatoes so I was a bit worried I was stuck with just one crop, it gives me hope to complete my farm
It seems like you can get all kinds on the islands. Leif on Harv's island changes his stock every Monday, so that's another avenue of getting them. I've gotten all but carrots so far ^^
I've seen summer shell, autumn leaves and the glowing weed/vines islands, but that's it.
I was lucky to get a snow island! Helped me get a lot of snowflakes to prep for the upcoming winter season :3
Thank you for this video! I rarely have time to play and whenever I try going on Kappn islands, I always get the same ones. Glad to see what other islands there are! Can't wait to discover those too.
I time travel on occasion myself (since GameCube), but I am so glad that Nintendo implemented an in-game mechanic for non-TT players to get seasonal resources for the cooking recipes without necessitating a paid subscription to be able to trade with online players. ♥️
I've been to every island with a time lock, including the star fragment island - twice - and I started playing on April 20th of last year. As long as you've been playing for 1 year+, you shouldn't have an issue with the islands.
Idk what a time lock is, but I’ve only been playing for 11 months and I’ve found every island he mentioned in the video plus more.

one of my first islands with kapp'n was the star fragment one. i didnt realise at the time
how rare it was because i havent found it again since but it blew me away when i hit the rocks and got so many star fragments!!!

I happened upon the star island yesterday! So fun! Keep in mind, when you wish upon shooting stars, you will find them on your beach the next morning. Nice. 🥰
I've had the glowing moss/vines island a couple of times, I've had a potato crop island twice, a cherry blossom island once, and a star fragment island once.
Money tree island was the first one I found. I also found an island that spawned tarantulas in the day.
Imagine being a new player & finding money tree island! 🤣 You'd freak out at every 1000 bells!
So far I've only done 3 island trips & all were 'normal' islands.
I thought my game was broken but now I know there's only a 30% chance of getting a rare island - it makes a lot more sense 😂

I've had the raining one twice, the money rock one twice, the vine one several times, and the money tree one once. I want the star fragment island; that would be so awesome! PS all the crop islands several times; they're common for me.
I love the moss island!! Wish there were more moss to collect from there hahah but it’s okay. Has anyone gotten different season islands? I heard you can?

I've gotten the Fall one with Mushrooms, the Cherry Blossom one, the Summer one, and Winter one for Snowflakes. Also have gotten the bamboo one and an Island with Wheat Crops all over.
I’ve found star frag island twice! Winter island twice, summer island, cherry blossom, all the crops, money tree, loadsssss of glowing moss, raining island, bamboo and plain boring island. I haven’t found shroom island but am so stoked it exists and can’t wait to find!
I looove the vines, they double as ladders. I've gotten the money tree island 3 times already, patiently waiting for the star island
I feel awful knowing the star island is so rare. I got it once but I didn't hit any rocks, so I missed out on a bunch of star fragments :(
I have had pretty much all of the Islands you’ve talked about but I have been playing over a year and a half. Watched to the end
The fact that some of the Kapp'n Islands are date locked makes me feel bad for people that reset their islands for the 2.0 update. For time travelers it's mildly inconvenient; but for purist they're basically waiting another year.
I've actually been to the starry island! It was great because I'm bad at wishing on stars on my own island, so I was able to get lots of fragments! I think I wished on about 70 stars, but only 20 fragments spawned on my island the next day. 12 spawned when I first loaded up, and another 8 washed ashore later on.

Yeah, so far I'd gotten the normal island the most. I'd seen the vine three times, the Fall leaf one once and the crop one once... it's a cool concept, but so far I'd felt really unlucky with which ones I draw. At least tomorrow is Monday and the inventory on Harv's island will change. I'm still waiting to get Sugar Cane and Wheat... I'm really limited in the cooking recipes I can do until then. Times like these, I'm so grateful they added Cyrus's customization because it helps make up for the fact I'm not doing any online stuff. Unfortunately I still have a bunch of fruit DIYs I can't make... I'd have hoped this new update would have added back all of the fruit but that doesn't seem to be the case
I've found two crop islands, two glowing-moss islands, and one star island. Pretty good, all in all. I did time travel, but only three days total.
I’ve been playing for over a year and wasn’t ever able to get shooting stars so I was so happy when one of the islands had star fragments along the beach and stars in the rocks.
i got the star fragment island yesterday!! there was a meteor shower going on as well. it was fun and it look v nice lol
i found the star island earlier this week!! there were SO MANY shooting stars and all of the rocks had the star things in them. it was so awesome
Could you just time skip a year in the game for it to consider you to have been playing for a year? I started a new island on a second switch and would rather not wait an entire year

Funny thing was that after the Brewster Finding quest, the Money Tree island was the first legit island I stumbled upon.

I've been playing for about two years now and have been to ALL of the special islands except for the raining gyroids island. I've only encountered the money bag island once. The Wishing Star island I've hit twice--it's my favorite!!
I’ve only found one special island so far, it was a summer island so I spent ages there fishing and diving! But I’ve always been super unlucky with island tours, like the nook miles islands which I just stopped travelling to as all I ever got was basic islands with a small handful of special islands, I was obviously like most people off work due to covid when I got this game so played it constantly! So I was super disappointed when I kept hearing about and seeing other people who seem to have way more luck than I did.
I’ve been to the bamboo and star fragment islands. The variety of islands is great.
I found the maple tree island yesterday and the bamboo tree island last week. The maple tree one had leaves 🍁 to collect, as well as acorns, which I stocked up on. I was happy to find the bamboo island because of the young bamboo pieces and the bamboo shoots. Mostly, though, my islands have been boringly normal. #Bob’sGang
I've landed on a meteor shower island twice. Sometimes I time travel just so I can farm more gyroid fragments
I went to the cherry blossom one for the first time yesterday 😊 it looked so pretty. I really wish you could grow cherry blossom trees on your island.
i found summer shells and Star Fragments islands very quick
The islands that are different seasons - getting some of the insects and fish from that season is really nice
Ok, I have been playing the game since November but quite steadily. I have found the star fragment island twice - and what was exciting to me, I fished and caught a lot of sharks and other rare fish, dorado e.g. I found the money island twice. I heard another video - I forget where - a person got an island that was a shark island - there bag was full of great white sharks. Loving your videos - hope you are still playing ACNH. 🙂
I was so happy to get the star fragment island, plus it was summer glowing moss at the same time. I felt like I hit the jackpot get this island.
Hi - I have been to the money tree island when I was there hitting the rocks gave me more bells sadly only one of the rocks did that. I also have been to the star mystery island as well. It’s really fun going to these different islands I’ve also have dug up the different crops and brought them back to my island. I just wish we could make our island bigger to support the newest crops. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for continuing to update.
I got the star island the other night and was so excited. I've only had the chance to wish on stars on my home island once, so this is special island blew my mind

My first island was the one w/ vines a moss. Although it isn’t rare, I was excited and literally left that island bare afterwards 😭
I got star fragment island on day two! It also had a bunch of vines, so it was really a win all around. I remember going up to the first rock thinking "shooting stars in the sky, star fragments on the beach, wouldn't it be funny if these were star fragment rocks haha" then doing the surprised pikachu face when it turned out I was RIGHT

Looks like bushes work like trees do. The only bushes that work are holly bushes, so I’ve been selling the other bushes for some extra bells

I got a summer shell island too. What a let down as I no longer needed them. And the shooting star island gave me a repeat recipe
The only time I've gone with Cap'n I got the star fragment one. I though maybe it was what everyone got their first time there.
The moss island also gives you a moss themed DIY recipe. The moss flooring is so cool.

I've been playing since a day after christmas last year, and i've seen a crop island twice, moss island once and the rainy gyroid island once (but it only had one gyroid anyways), really hoping to get a rarer island soon because I'm sick of seeing holly bushes and my native fruit lol
My very first one, the one I found Brewster on, was the money tree island! It was one hell of a surreal experience.
There is also an autum island with acorns lying around. Came across one of those yesterday

I found three variations of the vine island, wheat island, spring bamboo island, and I found mush island today. It also had pinecones and acorns scattered around it too.
Does time traviling work so you can get all the kapp’n islands?
I went to the rainy island last night and the cherry blossom on was my first island after Brewster. I was also blessed to have been to the star fragment island.

My favurite however is by far the glowing moss & vine island. That moss is beautiful & is used to craft by far the coolest new set in the game.
