    I enjoyed these details so much, I love the idea of (permission)sharing client's personal hand written notes+photos they include to your social handles.This will most definitely assist in initiating trust and more client bookings with those who are on the search for our services! Nice work!

    Hello, just had a look at your website and I noticed you say "We take the pressure off of the host, guaranteeing responsible and refreshing beverage services" I often wonder when people say we "guarantee" what they guarantee if things go wrong?
    And also thanks for posting this amazing video, you did a fantastic job!!

    This is absolutely the best. So helpful! I’m finishing my class and I want to jump right into this! Here is Phoenix . I’ll be doing dry hire. So I see I’ll be needing an LLC and insurance..where do you get your insurance from ? Can I get the LLC from online ?

    I am assisting someone who will be renting my food trailer and turning it into a drink trailer. I did want to say in reference to charging for your value, it is important to find out what the market value is for the services and not just arbitrarily set your value. I know this seems obvious but many people especially people new to business may not realize they need to research how much their services are worth in their area.

      @pourspecialevents  Před 11 měsíci

      Correct! I will also say though that in my area I used to charge extremely minimally for just myself showing up to bartend because the rate I was charging was still more than I made working for a bar. Fast forward 5 years and I've built a business and I brand that people come to when they want over the top! I could have never imagined the amount I could charge for my events when I first started. Locals make some grumbles but when I really looked at it, the locals never higher for these specialty services, the guests coming to town to use the venues do and they want an over the top experience. So that's what I provide.

    Great content! A just have a question, i am wanting to add the mobile bartending services to my event planning business. i don’t have experience actually bartending but can i still learn some of the basic drinks to make and eventually learn more as time pass?
    Thank you!

      This is a great question! I'll make another video on this but the short answer Is Yes! Everyone gets experience from somewhere. I would get (ramp) or (abc) certified. Different by state. Usually a few hour online course to help with understanding liquor laws and serving people. Very inexpensive and usually lasts you a few years. All of my bartenders are ramp certified!

    Do you need special licensing or permit for the trailer itself since you arising the alcohol? Similar to a food truck regulations?

    • @pourspecialevents
      @pourspecialevents  Před rokem

      I could see needing some type of special event permit based on location if you were doing public events say at a community festival but I don't purchase the alcohol and I only do private events at a clients home or at a venue so we don't use extra permitting above carrying Catering/ general/ and liquor liability insurance. Hope this helps!

    Hello… I’m from Tucson Az and I’m trying to start my own little rental business plus portable bar with bartender. How much should I start off with? Do I need a license?

    • @pourspecialevents
      @pourspecialevents  Před 2 lety +2

      I would check regulations in your state for mobile bartending and see what their laws are on selling or serving alcohol. For example in PA I am a dry hire bar. So I do private events only and clients pay for my responsible bartending services. I never purchase / sell alcohol at any time. The client grabs all of their alcohol/ mixers and I make it happen at the event. Part of my service is helping them calculate the alcohol and mixers needed and giving recommendations on their cocktail menus. This is also helpful so you know exactly what you'll be serving before the event. You won't have 20 different drinks being asked of you then! I also offer packages with ice/cups/garnishes/ and all utensils needed for mixing / opening drinks (these are things no one thinks about or wants to grab themselves) If you provide them then you know they are there!
      My structure is an LLC (dry hire bartending) with insurance for liability and catering. Very reasonable yearly rates with FLIP.
      Hope this info helps! Let me know what other questions you have!

    @pourspecialevents Hello,quick question when you first started how did you handle big events ? I assume you hired more ppl or bartenders. I’m asking because when you’re first starting a business you’re kinda limited with your funds depending on the route you take. So I just wanted to see if you had any tips on working those larger crowds

    • @pourspecialevents
      @pourspecialevents  Před 11 měsíci

      Hey! Yep so anything close to 100 people or more we need at least 2 staff if not more. You're charging the client so it's not like you are paying out of pocket. You can also choose what forms of payment you accept. I didn't start processing credit cards until about 1.5 years ago and it was a game changer for my business but when I was just starting cash and check were fine. My whole family helps in one way or another so I'm thankful for that. Family and friends are great because you can trust them and they work hard for you!

    As an aspiring woman entrepreneur..how do you figure out what to order for beverages? And contracts?

    • @pourspecialevents
      @pourspecialevents  Před 2 lety +2

      Hey Edie! We never order the drinks as we must be BYOB in our state so we help clients figure out what they like and they have to brought to the venue! For contracts its important to have a good one! I use HoneyBook and their sample ones are amazing and saved me so much time!
