    yes, the bypass is for the transponder chip key, so that sounds right, as for the relay he's probably right again, youd need one for illuminated entry, starter kill and / or trunk pop

    A ram is like a 7 out of 10 on the difficulty level, mostly cause they use resistor based lights and door locks, but the cheat sheets explain all that, and so do my other videos as well. the tester I use is a snap on power probe btw

  • @Lesscoelectronics
    @Lesscoelectronics  Před 12 lety

    You do that by tying into the factory arm/disarm wires coming out of the driver door typically. Sometimes its done through the door locks (depens on the car)

  • @Lesscoelectronics
    @Lesscoelectronics  Před 11 lety

    Thats a good alarm, the car is pretty easy too, the only thing with that car is you have to program double pulse unlock (if you want all the doors to lok simultanously) you can leave it as is and hit the remote 2x to make it a 2 step system though too, which is cool.

  • @Lesscoelectronics
    @Lesscoelectronics  Před 11 lety +1

    you always need to add a relay to add trunk pop. wire it for a negative output:

    Instead of opening and closing your drill every time you want to twist wires, i would suggest that you put an eye hook or eye bolt in the drill and then just put about 2 inches of wire through the eye and hold it and spin it.

Got a question on my hand book for my remote start were it shows how to wire the relay for the starter disable well on one part its say "make certain to connect brown wire to starter motor side." by it does it mean to connect that wire direct to the starter? Easy, Go under the driver dash, You may have to take some stuff apart, Look for the main alarm module-You cant miss it its a black box with a jillion wires coming out of it. The blue 2 pin plug is the valet switch, Follow that to the end, there my friend is your switch.

    Very easy-to-follow instructions, but the older gentleman that does videos about cars made a very good point. His name is Scotty and he said that my 2007 Volvo XC90 may already have a factory installed alarm. He also stated in his video that no one should ever put an after-market alarm on their vehicle. Now the reason I want a remote start is, that I want to warm up my vehicle before I get into it in the winter. I'm curious what would be your input on the matter.

  • @Amirocassar
    @Amirocassar Před 10 lety

    Couple of questions. I bought an xpresskit bypass and a crimestopper rs4-g4. Certain wires of both have to be hooked to the same wires, is it okay to hook them up on the same location of the wire? Meaning, a wire from the remote starter and the bypass and basically touching each other and going to the same wire, or should I cut another piece of the wire and hook them in individual spots? Also, the wire from the bypass to the remote starter is one color, while the wire from the remote starter that's suppose to go to the bypass is another color, is this just common due to different manufacturers? I.e, they don't do the same colors for the wires?

    Ur videos are awesome. Anyways got a prob of course n need help. hooked up a few units but still not a pro! Got a 2000 Infinti i30 and hooking up Prestige APS57c remote start -no alarm unit with FLTB1 transponder bypass through DBI data port. Got everything in, by the way had to rip out vintage autopage alarm (RF 315) w/ shock sensor before the install. Hooked everything up and didn't work, realized I had a few errors. a little confussion w/ parking light wires: this unit has 2 wires and no +/- switch on brain. manual says hook one (no matter which) to either 12+/ ground ad other to parking light circuit. chart says access at kick panel for P. light is + and access at column switch is -. Don't know if I did it wrong, but I tied into column switch (-) and then tied other white P. light wire to +12v (ign +12v). Wow, hope I didn't fry it if this is wrong. Also to keep battery from dying I removed fuse for door light however this fuse also kills ability to use power locks. I had to hook up relay for trunk. Bypass is correctly programmed. no response what so ever from unit other then three, double blinks of the antenna's LED. Tach is tied in, both starters, boths acc, one ign, and both constant +12v combined into the one +12v the Infiniti has. smelled slight buring, but unsure. opened brain, no evidence on motherboard? what am doing wrong. Please help me out.
