Done right and with care, the methods shown in this video should not cause any side effects, but because there is a huge variety of screens on the market, I can't know for sure the effects this could have on some of them!

big white pixel in the middle of my brand new 170$ monitorÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Dude u don't know the half of it, all i see is the stuck red pixel none of that 244hz behind
The main problem with dead pixels is that once you see it you cannot unsee it!!!
True đ
Yeah kinda wished I never saw it
I know it is only one tiny bit of wrong light in the wrong place, but it annoys us to death knowing it is there. Great job on the other two. I wonder why they even pop up at all when pressing makes them go away. Great job. Keep them coming.
Thank you for watching! I'm thinking that probably they are just short circuits and bad contacts, but at a microscopic level.
How does one tiny thing have the ability to drive us, ok me, nuts.
I have no clue, but taking into acount the number of pixels on a display, it should not matter, but it does, ...a lot! :))
"Annoy to death" one of the best phrases i've ever heard
To be honest , at first i was skeptical about the pencil method. My problem was the single cyan pixel on my new gaming monitor , but then i have tried the pencil method and it really worked out 1st try for me! Thank you bro! Im so happy :D
Perfect! Welcome!
Looked up this video on my iPad while the laptop had a problem, instant fix! Would definitely recommend
Dead as my exact situation rn. Left my laptop on the table for 20 minutes, turned it on and thereâs a large black cube on my screen :((
while listening to him talk about the pen my big brain decided to use my finger and it worked
Great!
yo this was a good video quite relaxing and the fingernail tip was useful I just watched the rest of it and ate a quarter pounder, a big mac, and some pepsi
Thank you wery much on the helpfull video and love the way you explain itđ
I have been using JScreenFix for a while but the stuck pixel comes back here and there. I decided to look up other methods and came across this video. The pushing lightly with the pencil thing caught me off guard, and when I saw it did not work for you, I thought, okay, it's just JScreenFix that works. Which I saw you were going to use. Perused the comments a little and saw that someone else tried the pencil trick and it worked!? Seemed so strange. I decided to go for it and try. Used my Apple Pencil and a microfiber cloth... it vanished so fast and right before my eyes that I was dumbfounded. You know what they say... if it's stupid and it works, it isn't stupid. So thank you very much for this rudimentary method that somehow just... works! Immediately! Hopefully it stays unstuck.
Welcome! Hope it's a permanent fix.
Can I do that in my MacBook? Can you please tell me how I can do it perfectly without damaging my MacBook screen?
Impossible for me to know. It's a matter of trial and error.
Sometimes it works if it did congratulations
Thank you my friend. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, but I had one stuck red pixel on my 4k rog Zephyrus M15 that was driving me nuts! I used the tip of my Wacom tablet's pen stylus and it worked a treat!

Same here on acer gaming monitor 144hz
Emmanuel Solis Picado Was your pixel dead or stuck? I just bough an Acer gaming monitor that came with two dead pixels.
Try Try until you get the results. You definitely are a great problem solver. Thank you, you have helped me. I appreciate it. Best wishes to you.
Thank you!
I do not know how others but I have that the pixel as it is on a gray and green background it is white, and when you press it, 4 more pixels illuminate (in a row diagonally). What i should do?
About 99% chance of when you buy a new gaming monitor even if it's Alienware, you'll still get one stuck or dead pixel. Technology isn't perfect. I'm sure one day, we will develop gaming monitors that are dead and stuck pixel proof, we just need to come up with the technology to prevent it.
Sadly, it's known and allowed by the manufacturer. If they would scrap all the panels with defective pixels the price would increase, ao they allow up to 3 pixels (or other values depending by brand). Maybe with microled or other new technologies this will be more rare.
@@UltimateDIY Unfortunately on my Alienware AW2521HF gaming monitor, I see one red stuck pixel close to the right corner of my screen, so at least it's not centered on my viewing point. I just noticed it today. True, it would be more expensive to pay for a stuck/dead pixel proof gaming monitor.
@@mcmike89 Did it disappear? Sometimes they come back to normal on their own, and sometimes not. These fix methods didn't help to get it unstuck? I have one red stuck pixel on the bottom right corner, it appeared after three days, but I don't want to risk to return it, you pay for sending and receiving, and then you may end up with more pixels, plus backlight bleed.
@@unclefester9265 Nope, it's still there unfortunately. Best thing to do is ignore it. It's not worth sending it back.
I was very frustrated about something so I pressed my laptop's screen. Later I noticed a white tint and k freaked out because the laptop was only 4-5 months old! This fixed it!!

i have some Purple spots that i can only see with dark backround what is that? its like someone painted it a bit dosent look like small pixel spots its lot bigger then 1 or 3 pixel
Could be something that got between the layers of the screen itself. Maybe some cleaning liquid or something.
Same here I just cleaned my phone earlier what surprised me is that when theres a dark background it appears to be a red stuck pixel.
@@UltimateDIY but how to fix it?
If what is shown in this video did not help, maybe it's not fixable.
@@UltimateDIY thx for the response.
Can't believe this worked lol. Thanks so much!!
which method
The pen pushing didn't really fix the dead pixels but it definitely made the dead pixel smaller in my case. At least with that, it's bareable now. Thanks!

I did all of the method and nothing work. Plus my stuck or dead pixel is at the corner bottom.
Then you either try to ignore it or change the display. If the pixel or group of pixels is small, better to just ignore it.
The "hold on...
Where's my pixel" part got me dead đđđ
:))
i took a mega close up picture of mine with my 4k camera, gives me a better look at it, also i have a dead pixel on a 20 inch monitor so its very easy to see.
my entire screen is black and dotted with stuck looking pixels, and when turned on, after a few seconds the screen transitions from this to white I have a chromebook c202 is it possible to fix?
It worked for me , I had dead black pixels on several places, and they are almost gone, thanks,
I got a pixel that looks dead but when you look at it from certain angles it looks slightly off color or like a normal pixel
Might be just a small damage in the polarising filter.
I havenât watched the video yet but my laptop has these blue spots on them, will this video help?
Oh. Hereâs how I was inspired to do your method. Mine wonât go away but found a way to âmask itâ. It didnât work pressing on it. With a non scratch cloth do as if youâre cleaning the monitor near your pixel from left to right and watch it disappear. Now if I press again it will still show up thatâs why I said it kind masks it. Good luck to all.
Glad you found a way đđ»
Thank you. I was so worried. Used butt of my toothbrush covered with towel applied just a little pressure and it's gone. Can't thank ya enough.

Welcome! Glad my video made things at least a little bit better. đ
same :(
If it's brand new with stuck/dead pixels always return it. Do not fuck around with it as they might not accept it afterwards for caused damage
True, but there is a problem. Most brands have a 3 pixel limit. If you have under 3 defective pixels it's not accepted for warranty.
If I remember it correctly you can return your product up to 14 days as long as you didnt trash it, that's what I meant, atleast in EU
Thank you so much! wrapped a pencil in a micro fiber and barely touched the green pixel. it disappeared immediately!

@Ultimate DIY I have an issue with my phone's display. It has a tiny white pixel when my display is above 50% brightness. It does appear only when the background is black, grey or blue. What do you think it could be?
Partially dead pixel. Probably nothing you can do about it, appart from ignoring it.

Welcome!
I am experiencing a strange kind of pixel error on one of my classic IBM ThinkPads, the 365XD, and I am not sure how to solve it.
There is one pixel that is not dead, because it is not permanently black. It has a certain color, like a stuck pixel, but this color even changes, depending on the displayed image on the screen.
The colors black and white for the whole screen work perfectly, also a complete red screen. But when the screen is turned to blue completely (or most of it), the pixel shows as black. Now the weird part: When I change the screen color from blue to white, yellow or any bright color, but keep the area of and directly around the malfunctioning pixel blue, it turns from black to correctly displaying blue. This proves that it can still display blue, but only when most of the screen has a somewhat bright color.
I connected the laptop to an external monitor and that worked perfectly, so it is not a problem with the display adapter. But what kind of pixel error is that and can it somehow be fixed?
That is a really weird problem. I think it has something to do with the way the conductive traces matrix inside the panel works. I would just try to ignore, instead of fixing it, because there is a small chance to make it worse.
I have the same problem on my Lenovo Ideapad 3. Did you find a fix for it?
how long will you have to use the blow dryer for to remove it? I'm trying to remove the issue on my nintendo switch
Not possible to know. Depends on too many factors. It might even not work. It's just a matter of trial and error.
alr thanks
I have a weird problem mmh: i have a white stucked pixel that can be noticed only on black screen or really dark colors but not on bright blue red white or green...
What do you think bout it?

I have a Acer Nitro Monitor and a little Spot is less bright, than ist should be! Do you have any hints / tips, what the reason could be or whatever could help???
That is some damage inside the panel. Nothing you can do about it, sadly.
I have a question is that a stuck pixel or a dead pixel. Because I have a 4k Sony tv and it looks pretty similar to that
Also I avoid to do what you're doing - i'm not saying it's wrong but I don't want to cause more stuck or dead pixels.
Well, if it's black it's dead, if it's any other colour, it's stuck. For newer and more expensive stuff I would also leave it alone.
a dead pixel doesn't have enough voltage to emit any light at all, and a stuck pixel doesn't have enough to refresh the amount of light each subpixel produces
Zolton Auburn so is there anything how I can fixe a dead pixel ?
Bro thanks you soo much i just pressed with my finger and it fixed

I had a bad problem on the TV. To make it short. I used an ice pack with LOTS of ice..put it over the pixels and they shrank. I then took a pen's backside and rubbed it over the spots in a circle- emulating the "flashing" vids that you are supposed to run for hours right?
It worked..all pixels came back. NOT the first time..but incrimentaly..one by one over days they turned on. It might take days for over and over..but its free and works.
Glad that worked for you!

4 questions....how does a pencil and a cloth have to do with anything? second question...does this actually work? and does the jscreenfix thing also work on dead pixels? if it does work on dead pixels how long do you have to keep it on there in order to see a difference?
6 answeres:
1. It's explained in the video
2. It works is some cases, depending on how badly affected the pixel is
3. Jscreenfix also sometimes works and again depending on the gravity of the problem
4. If it does not work after let's say half an hour, it will probably never work
5. Waiting for another edit for more questions :))
6. Also waiting for another edit :))

If you can't claim warranty o for it, I would just try to ignore it.
@@UltimateDIY Today i have called Lenovo Premium Care and the agent said they don't fix it because its only one pixel or something like that so no luck there, and when i called Elgiganten (the nordic electronics shop were i bought it) said they would like for me to take my laptop in to one of their stores so they can see it for themselves and then they decide from there what can be done and he said usually repairs and other service arrends takes like 2-3 weeks but during the pandemic now it can take up to 5-6 weeks. And he wouldn't answer if it would cost me anything to get it repaired and the thing is i don't think i want to pay for a repair when i have warranties.
Yes. This is a really sad situation. Some manufacturers have a " minimum 3 bad pixelsâ rule, for example. That I do not like at all. Put one of their CEOs in front of a laptop with 2 pixels stuck bright green. I would bet they couldn't take for more than 5 minutes wile watching a movie. But us, "normal people" need to accept their stupid rule.
Hello I bought a laptop yesterday lenovo legion 5 and I just saw that it has two little red dots should I send it back or what should I do?
Hello. Check with the seller for the stuck pixels policy. Some need minimum 3 to be able to claim warranty.
But if you can return it without using warranty, try to return it and get another one. Maybe you are lucky and the new one is ok.
i just got this chromebook about a month ago now and i can see these red ffew lines on the screen and i cant sort it out how do i fix it?
