Spring Farmhouse Easter Decor + Slow Cooked Pot Roast In My Country Kitchen

- Come along today as I throw a quick, comforting meal into the crockpot and get busy decorating our century farmhouse for Easter! The birds are chirping, the flowers are starting to bloom and we're more than ready for sunny, spring days ahead!

Pot Roast:
6 large russet potatoes, washed and chopped
1 large chuck roast, bone-in, thawed
1 medium sweet onion
2 cups carrots, peeled and chopped (about 3-4 large carrots)
1/2 cup. celery, chopped (about 2 large stalks)
2 Tbsp. garlic, minced
Salt and pepper (or use my all purpose seasoning linked above!)
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
1 Tbsp. liquid smoke *optional
1 can coke
Cook on low heat for 7-8 hours. Remove bones and any excess fat. Pull the meat apart and serve over all those flavorful veggies! Also great with some homemade beer bread! (ope, I have a recipe for that as well: rustichoney.com/beer-bread/) ENJOY!

The open shelving turned out so pretty! Love the yellow florals, yellow is my favorite color for flowers🌼 That was so sweet if your soon to bring you those beautiful daffodils😊 We have daffodils growing all around our yard also, and they're in full bloom.. I'm thinking about cutting some to put on my table. Love the mirror on the mantle, love ornate frames! The plant in the mud room is A Pothos, if you cut the vines back it will sprout back out and began to grow again, thicken up and vines will start to come back. I love the pieces you've decorated the mud room space with! Your home is beautiful❤ And the pot roast looks delicious😋 The porch piece is so cute! Enjoyed the video!

I love your home! That plant is a pothos. I have several and have had for years. If you cut off the vines, the plant will grow out the top and get bushy. Once it's as big and bushy as you want it, you can let it grow out as long as you want. But for it to get nice and bushy you have to continue to cut off the long stems until it's as big as you want it. They can get quite large but you have to prune them. 😁

I really love that shelf with the mirror. It's so pretty and rustic. I have to ask, though, is that a bed pan on the shelf beside the scale? I've been in nursing for a long time now, and I can't see it being anything else. Lol. I'm hoping it is.
