I absolutely love the image this creates of Griffin watching Paul Blart with Dark Side of the Moon and absolutely _losing_ his _shit_ while Rachel sits beside him on the couch saying "...I don't get it".
he actually said in the episode that it was ptch black in the room, and the only thing he could hear or see was PBMC2. Dude stuck himself in a hyperbolic time chamber to acquire these secrets
Have you got it yet?
I know I’m late. The Segway dance part is what made me religious and convinced that Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 is the music video for Dark Side of The Moon. Pay attention to his movements with the vocals that are in the background. Every time the singer changes pitch Paul changes what he is doing. With every pitch change Paul turns and will hold the action until the pitch changes again. I was absolutely blown away and I’m now certainly a Blartist.
Absolutely magical.
Any scene where there’s something positive or really even negative happening with a lot of cuts is going to line up. People’s minds are always blown by this but it’s not that crazy. A movie and an album are both experiences around the same length that are supposed to evoke emotions, it’s not surprising that albums and movies line up regularly

The music syncs are good and really cool but when the theme of the song fits the scene it plays over that's when it seems possible that this was intentional...
For me, it's the entire second play of Dark Side/second half of the movie. Great Gig in the Sky over Cirque du Soleil, Money over the lock-and-load montage...it's all just so _correct,_ man!

Did this a few weeks ago with my roomates. Something that wasn’t mentioned in that episode is that the first cash register *cha-ching* in Money syncs almost perfectly to Blart nailing that fake guard guy with his electric fork right after the Cirque Du Soleil scene.
And also that the lyrics “Leave, but don't leave me/Look around, choose your own ground” from Breathe syncs with Maya getting her letter from UCLA, and those two lines are a perfect encapsulation of Paul’s character arc regarding Maya’s independence.
Edit: AND ON THE SECOND PLAYTHROUGH THAT SAME LYRIC SYNCS PERFECTLY WITH HIM TALKING TO HER ON THE PHONE ABOUT HOW HES OKAY WITH HER GOING AWAY FOR COLLEGE. THIS WAS *FUCKING INTENTIONAL*
